    I have had BPH since 55 y/o no hair loss opposite now at 59 y/o I have to take Finasteride 5mg for life to reduce the swelling and bleeding. I tried Flow Max similar to Finasteride the headaches were bad and had to stop. I did notice slightly tired in the morning but riding the bike seems easier to recover. Maybe taking Finasteride will boost my weight training?

    Been using topical finasteride and minoxidil for about a year, fairly happy with the results but considering moving to oral finastride for ease of use and lower cost. If I’ve been tolerating the topical is there any enhanced risk of the oral? Planning on taking 1mg every couple of days to start with, and hoping to maintain or improve the results I’ve already seen from the topical

    I am on TRT. I have been dealing with side effects for a while and have decided to come off of TRT. I am also taking a low dose of finasteride (approx .25mg) every other day to battle hair loss. Do you see any issue with continuing the finasteride after I stop trt?

    • @Tommy-Eagle-USA
      @Tommy-Eagle-USA 6 месяцев назад

      .25 every other day is not going to do anything. Do .5mg everyday or 1mg Mon wed friday. Bump your every other day dose to .5mg and see how your body tolerates it. Then do the 1mg 3 times a week, I've done so much research on this and that seems to be the best.

      Increases it also but more. If I remember correctly it was something like a 20% increase at most in total t after chronic dosing for a couple months. But still not gonna increase muscle growth cause I believe it has no effect on free testosterone (the test your body actually uses.) Also raises estrogen more as well of course.

    Was on Fin for 6 month 0.25 every day - no change in T
    Then went to 0.5mg every day for 6 months - no change in T
    Went onto 1 every day and my Testosterone sky rocketed (blood test confirmed). I put on lean muscle mass, was ultra horny all the time, and had lots of energy. After 6 months developed slight Gyno in my left pec/nipple.
    Im now off Fin trying to regulate my hormones.
    Moral of the story is yes it can absolutely raise T but be careful.

      There is a pathway for that happening, the same pathway as it potentially increasing testosterone
      Now that doesn’t mean it would or wouldn’t, for you since it depends on the individual. But yes, the mechanism is there, gynecomastia is likely a side effect of increased estrogen levels due to finasteride, although there are no studies to 100% confirm this
