This is going to be an awesome detail of 1970 classic Chevelle. All the best guys. My best pre birthday present is watching the Chevelle getting restored.
Fantastic job!!! I would NEVER put this baby on a track. As for repainting, that would be tempting. In the video it looks great. But, I’ve seen cars that, when up close, really show the wear. Love what you did here!!!
Thanks for staying up late for us. It's always nice to have your videos the first thing on Friday morning. Saturday would work too. It's great to see your business grow. Here's to a great 2022.
Seats are in great shape. New foam and covers. As for no tread fronts that's how the were used on the track. Great survivor! Thanks for showing. Saved my own 71 Malibu400 396/402 BB.
Fantastic job, looks great despite years of wear and tear. If it were mine, I would only give it what it absolutely needs to be safe and reliable. I own 3 Chevelles currently (68, 69, and a 72) so this definitely pulls on my heart strings. I wish we could have seen the engine bay and some of the under carriage. Does the owner have an IG account we can follow? I doubt that I am alone when I say that I'd love to follow the progress.
Great job detailing! It looks beautiful afterwards, slap a set of rally wheels on it and fix the interior, and otherwise leave it as is, it’s a beautiful survivor.
Hope your thanksgiving was great bud!! Love this car! I’d not paint it at all! It would be better to do the rust spots and match them in! That solid red paint will be easy to match!!! The rest of the paint looks great!! Another great video and transformation of a long stored car!! Love it!
Very nice Chevelle, it's in such great shape for being stored so long. Turned out great! Usually those hoosier front runners have very little tread aa they are for drag racing, they are probably just worn out, more than likely had maybe some lines in them when new and they are worn down.
I'd personally keep it as a sunday driver. If I wanted a track car I'd build one out of a stripped car that didn't have any sentimental value. As far as the rust goes, just spot-treat it and get matching paint to try and blend it in, if that is the original paint it is better to keep it.
259k! happy thanksgiving! And I guess it used to be a car for drag racings Also for the pedals when there is the tiny lines you could use a brush to remove the rocks or pebbles
Would totally keep original, repair the rust spots. Beautiful jobs you guys did, I’m a weekend wannabe detailer for myself. ;) Btw I’ve driven by the Hoosier tire plant before, living in Indy.
The Videos are great I was with my son and grand kids Yesterday it was the Best Thanksgiving I think I've ever had we had Dinner then took them to the movies keep up the Great work 😀 👍 🙌
Awesome detail guys, just to touch on the mould the same can be said when dealing with a rodent infestation one can get extremely ill from exposure,by the way id love to see WD do a collaboration with Larry at AMMO ❤
I would leave the original paint as it now looks nice and wouldn't run the car at the track anymore. It is a rare and desirable model of Chevelle to own. Would have been nice to see the trunk get cleaned and the engine compartment. I'm also surprised the rear bench seat wasn't taken out.
Highly encourage him to leave the original paint as is! It will never be original paint again, he can always repaint if totally necessary but original paint just in value is a tremendous plus!
I drive my 1970 Z/28 4 speed which I purchased from the original owner in 1981 as much as possible in the spring and summer. Once the snow arrives, it sits in the garage. I’d like to have a 70 SS396 375 HP L78 4 speed along with the RPO ZL2 Cowl Induction Flapper hood. This Chevelle in the video I’d get it street ready and drive it on the street and if your into some track time then it can still go on the track as long as the 1/4 mile speed is low enough that you don’t need a roll bar and driveshaft safety loop. Those front tires are bald b/c they used to be on the rear, and when doing burnouts, you lose tread. If the paint is original the leave it, a car is only original once. Plus original paint cars are worth more.
I hope you (RJ and Brent) had a great Thanksgiving. You guys do an amazing job. Each and every time you upload it's a new and exciting detail. Keep up the amazing job. Have a great weekend 😉😊💚Are they bald because they raced it?
It looked like three 70's Era Audio Cassettes were sitting on the front passenger seat for a long time, and left their imprint in the mold when removed.
This vehicle is also in the PS1 game, Driver. Which is fun to use in the game when doing stunts and burnouts. But I think that's the only video game reference I've seen this car in, aside from Vin's character Dominic Toretto. Where he drives a few SS Chevelles in the fast franchise.
Hey man, I am a successful IT Software Developer looking to start gigs like this on my evenings and weekends. I would love to do barn finds eventually, how do you land all these barn finds! Any advice is helpful, thanks!
I’d keep the original paint but obviously repair rust spots but keeping any paint work as minimal as possible then I’d give it a fresh clear coat for protection and refresh it’s shine.
That's .. completely backwards. Drag slicks are not tires that went bald due to wear. They have no or only very few small grooves so the tire has *more* of a contact patch with the track surface. What good would a tire with little gripping force on the track surface be when trying to get off the starting line and down the quarter mile in the fastest time? Drag slicks are purposely designed to provide as much grip as possible, not less.
@@iknklst I know I was really tired typing that in, I was talking about the front tires on why they are so skinny. The front tires are only made to make the car roll and direct it(not steer it). And sense it’s a preped strip they don’t need tred, and the front and rear tires are made of different compounds.
@@Skilver-vg8oe I have about the same setup on my Foxbody, Welds front and rear but with Mickey Thompson's not Hoosiers. I have to replace the fronts this year as they are dated out, not due to wear. Those fronts certainly should not have been "bald", they have a shallow tread pattern to begin with as tire squirm in patterned tread tires under extreme use is a thing no one wants to experience.
All original..weekend driver...stored inside when not on the road with the gnarliest alarm system available on the garage and a grumpy timber wolf hangin out in the garage lot 😆 #HEVYCHEVY
They are hooster drag tires . Since the tires are normally used in drag strip racing and every drag strip is at least a quarter mile of normaly dry asphalt tracton in wet conditons is not that needed but if it is wet they are kinda like f1 tires with grit in them. Plus with many drag cars we all know they pop wheelies so when the car lands i think the tires need to flex more. Oh and when it comes to rear slicks they can only be usef a few times due to torque stress. That is as far as what i know and i can be wrong.
Totally keep it as a Sunday driver, pure gem of a car
Amazing car!

The 70 Chevelle SS is probably my favorite muscle car, along with the GTO Judge.

They are going to get to great places in 2022!
@@WDDetailing that’s very kind and impressive. Putting the people before yourself, very selfless. Congrats!
I love this car. I would fix it up & drive it, this one was made for the road. Thank you for sharing your work, stay safe.
This car is awesome!
I would leave it as original as possible, only replacing those "must have" parts to be a daily driver. Great job as always!
Seats are in great shape. New foam and covers. As for no tread fronts that's how the were used on the track. Great survivor! Thanks for showing. Saved my own 71 Malibu400 396/402 BB.

They are sweet cars.
Just the perfect look for an older car rust and all another great job guys.
Great job detailing! It looks beautiful afterwards, slap a set of rally wheels on it and fix the interior, and otherwise leave it as is, it’s a beautiful survivor.
I would totally use that car as a every day vehicle. Where I am from its not uncommon to come across classics. The car came out perfect

I was thinking the same thing about the rust repair and blending in the paint.
Love the transformations!

Great video new sub. Those are drag tires and I’d make it my daily.
Thank you!
That’s great!
Thank you all done a hell of a job on a detailing really a great job looks good looks damn good

1970 Chevelle, great show. 🙌
Super clean bro ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think the floor needs a bit of pressure washing as well LOL good job as always, guys!

Do you use a dehumidifier and a o zone machine machine to kill the smell and get all the moisture out after your done detailing?

any tips for a paint pen to make my letters white from curb damage? my cooper tire letter are just like these in the video (good year)

They always do a great job!
FrontRunner tires don't really do a whole lot, hence being skinny and having almost zero tread
It’ll have to become my daily Summer driver after being it back to life!
really nice cleaning
It looked like three 70's Era Audio Cassettes were sitting on the front passenger seat for a long time, and left their imprint in the mold when removed.
The owner could go to the wrecking yard and get good seats for the car. It is a great road car. thanks for showing us this car. You did a great job.

I would love to know the brand and make of your ozone machine.
Nice detail bro!
Brent, you guys should do my car, seriously though I do construction so its pretty bad don't forget all those times I was cool to you at Vivo lol
Definitely drive it some to keep it limbered up .. Awesome car
They are front runners for drag racing only ..with minimal tread on them even when new . For minimum rolling resistance.
I would daily it after it was clean i had a 69 4 door chevelle before it was one of the best cars I've owned ever it rode great and was fast.
I'd get it on the road the way it is and fix up the interior. The paint job is fine the way it is. Awesome car
Sunday driver is what I would do with it to keep it in good condition. These beauties need to be shown to be appreciated.
I’d have the upholstery redone and fix that little rust and have the paint matched and blended. That’s all
Curious why you didn't pull the back seat cushion out as well?

It’s staged..
Find a friend with a classic car and dirty it up
What's the name of yalls chemical brand specially the one you use on the rims that turns purple
Now a days cars are much quicker than the cars of the pass . Treat the car well and drive it on Sundays . Good job.
Looks like a nice set of Weld Wheels on some Hoosier track slicks.
Frame-off Restoration is the only way to go on a beauty like this
This car doesn't need a new paint job either it just needs a good detail clay bar cleaning and polish and it looks almost brand new
What pressure washer do you guys use
What a beautiful car! A true sunday driver haha I hope the owner keeps the original paint.
An astonishing car!
I’d keep the original paint but obviously repair rust spots but keeping any paint work as minimal as possible then I’d give it a fresh clear coat for protection and refresh it’s shine.
Cousin had a 396SS. Drove it around So.California for 3 weeks in 1969. Would not change the color. Slick tires!
Happy Thanksgiving all. That is a fvcking lovely detail there!
Great detail!
Those tires are called skinnys and are for Drag racing. They are narrow and slick for lower resistance I am pretty sure.
Are the tyres bold to give it as much grip as possible on the track
Racing slicks !!!
Nice...👊🏻
A perfect way to treat a lady of our past time
Definitely a Sunday driver. I personally owned a '65. I drove it weekends and in good weather.
That’s the best way to do it!
I believe I would keep that paint and I would keep the car as a sunny day car maybe make a track run once in a while as a street run day.
Hello guys! I have a question, why do you start cleaning cars first from the outside and then from the inside, please?
I would love to use it everyday, my go-to car.
This car looks great, no way I would repaint it. Keep the original paint for sure.
Did you ever find the build sheet?
Usually the tires are bald for less resistance on the strip

Hermoso clasico
My favorite car
I would definitely repaint over having the original paint
Tires are bald for better steering traction on the track, it allows the tire to get a full stick on a prepped track.
You are very very awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I knew some Grannies that had Chevelle's and asked why they needed that much power. They said so they could pass those old ass people driving slow.
Thats hilarious
beautiful car dont re paint it put her back on the road turning heads awesome job guys
Maybe tires were put in back at one time,or they are track slicks?
