I just hope the new owner really does appreciate what you did to his vehicle. The amount of hard work it took to clean it up is nothing short of incredible. You took a nasty, filthy vehicle and transformed it into something anyone would like to drive. Once again you proved why you're the best detail guy there is!
@@TheDetailGeekthat was amazing Mitch! I was thinking “I’m sure he can get it very clean, but looking like new?” I thought nature had won the battle with this truck in terms of getting it looking like new! Cool to see as I was proved wrong! Amazing work as always and a well deserved reputation!
I can’t believe you’re going to do this for 3 days straight.. that truck is really really gross on the inside 🤮. I would not like it if I would have to do that. Sorry Mitch but that’s really gross
Keep in mind that while he did an incredible job on this, it wasn't out of charity or the goodness of his heart. The customer probably paid top dollar for top dollar work.
As former detailer myself, I always tell people how it's actually a very physically demanding job and can be fairly grueling. especially for a vehicle like this. I can't imagine having to film it too etc. Respect to you because you're putting in the work 100%
OMG😵💫! I can’t believe what I’m seeing, this has to be the ultimate disaster. To take a truck in this condition and turn it into something worth driving is nothing short of miraculous. Your reputation is very, very well deserved Mitch!
Dude no its not my car took 20 years before the leather started cracking and who cares if it does its just the dye get some new dye apply it and just like that the seats look brand new
I love how down-to-earth the owners are with their reactions, though they truly are surprised. Regular, normal people, who appreciate the greatness of the work in their own way. And what an incredible make-over, Mitch!
Why did the owner's even let that vehicle get in that condition, shame on them, that is so uncalled for, not vehicle should ever get that dirty. American's are so lazy, and have zero respect for their property! It just amazes me the disrespect that these people had for the vehicle and themselves!
I can understand not being all in on the concept of a half-truck-half-SUV. I wasn't either but at the time, I was needing a truck to pull my trailer and all full size pickups at the time (during COVID) were super expensive. My 05 Avalanche was nearly half the price of an equivalent Silverado and it had the benefits of having a pickup so I went ahead and got it. So far, I have loved it.
I just need to say Mitch that it's an absolute pleasure watching a professional doing his job immaculately! and this one is up there with your best work! Thanks for all your hardwork!
@@TheDetailGeekI discovered your channel a few days ago and I keep watching your videos since. Watching this while I wash dishes. My mess is no where near the mess of truck. I’m so amazed at how much work and detail you put into cleaning and restoring this truck. 🙌🙌🙌
OMG, Mitch!! What a stunning transformation. The degree of filth in the interior was horrific but not as bad as I was expecting. Mitch, have you ever considered getting an optima industrial steamer instead of just the multi purpose one? It might save you a ton of time and also get even better results, not that your results now aren’t amazing. Your a fantastic detailer. I love watching your videos and steam car wash videos.
I do like how authentic your details have stayed. No tornador, no fancy tire shine pads, just plain old “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” … keep up the good work
Mitch, I’ve watched a lot of detailing videos on RUclips. I have about six detailers I watch primarily, and I have to say I have never seen anybody take a vehicle that is such a disaster and completely redeem it the way you do. Your work is awesome to say the least. Love your videos.
In the '70s and '80s I was detailing. I had no drill brushes no extractors, no steamers no pressure washer no fancy chemicals. The seats and carpets would come out, I draped the carpets across anything I had, and used TIDE, a scrub brush and garden hose, and let things dry in the sun for a few days. Threadbare carpets received a misting of lacquer based touch up paint, then a brushing to cut the stiffness. Holes in the carpet under the accelerator pedals were patched using cut-up floor mats secured with construction adhesive. I had a technique of recoloring vinyl with spray on touch up paint that looked really good, and NEVER peeled. Rust freckled chrome received a wipe with hydrofluoric acid based rust remover that was marketed for the removal of rust stains on clothing. My cars, just like your cars, came out looking damned good.
That was an absolute filthy BEAST to work on! It was so so dirty. This is definitely the worst ive ever seen. I panicked at the sheer work that would be needed when i saw it, so good on you for keeping calm and working your method of steps as you always do. Mitch you are terrific! I really admire your work ethic.🎉
I have the same truck, so I recognize every nook and cranny here. Actually, what's impressive is the condition the paint is still in. It still has a gloss on it, a good buffing will really make it pop. Maybe the dirt helped preserve it? Also... the leather on the seats looks great. No cracks. The overall condition. while dirty to begin with, this truck has weathered pretty well.
The Subaru was great but I think this is your best EVER! I love that you talked about motivation. I only ever detail my own or my family's cars, so I have a vested interest in putting in the work - and it is a lot of work. Gives me a great appreciation for how much effort it takes to get out of a mess and gives me incentive to not be lazy about dealing with things as they come up instead of letting them pile up.

Can't believe someone leave the windows down and the sunroof open. An invitation for mice and squirrels to chew the wiring. Rain and snow too. Only thing I would do differently would have been was take the carpet out, just to make sure there was nothing under the carpet. Mitch, hope you charged him for your hours of work. Great job !!

He doesnt /usually/ "polish and wax" the vehicles he details from what I've seen, in a traditional sense. A lot of times I've seen, he does indeed polish the vehicle with a sort of "paint protector/sealant" that makes the car shine, and keeps the paint healthier underneath. And, your energy and diligence are remarkable. Only a perfectionist like yourself can understand why you are a solo detailer. Keep surprising us with your enjoyable videos. They're the first thing I watch on Friday's.
Sorry bud it’s very disappointing that you did not remove the carpet. It sat there for a year with everything open. There might be mold or something underneath the carpet.
Great work on cleaning this mess up!! Given how poorly some of these trucks run normally, the fact that it actually runs after sitting with the windows and sunroof open is nothing short of a miracle.
All I can say is WOW!!! You are definitely THE ONE AND ONLY DETAIL GEEK. To bring that out of the mud pit , awesome, love love your videos so much. Have a blessed weekend, get you some rest 🤗💙

This is kind of a special video for me Mitch, my mother had 3 Avalanches before they were discontinued by Chevrolet. First one was a red 2001, next one was a red 2002 2500 (3/4 ton Avalanches did exist believe it or not), and the last one was black 2013. Needless to say I grew an attachment to these vehicles. Glad you transformed it from a lump of garbage to an absolute gem! And for clarification, yes the middle section does fold down to increase the cargo capacity.
This is probably one of my favorite transformations! And goes to show that a lot of vehicles can be loved back to life! My dad has the same interior on his 2007 Chevy Duramax crew cab. It presents well, and pretty comfortable. Not the highest quality or best feeling with all the hard plastics, but it is utilitarian and they clean up well!
Whoever decided to make brush attachments for drills was a genius! I bought a set after watching your videos during the pandemic and it has saved my gands and shoulders. Great work!
In regards to the question of how you stay motivated when dealing with challenging detail jobs, I think it goes without saying that, at the end of the day, you REALLY LOVE what you do, and that will definitely get you through that challenge.
Hey Mitch! I just wanted to say that you are by far THE best detailer out there. You clean a vehicle the way I would want my own car done. Your attention to detail and perfectionism is amazing. We love your videos and all of your channels! Now that I've buttered you up....when are you gonna lift your suspension shipping to the UK?? I'm currently in the UK and wanted to get in on your Black Friday sale for some Christmas presents for my Dad, but was super bummed you're not shipping here. Keep up the great work though my man!
The fact that someone left that vehicle sitting with all windows open is very sad. Yet again, you saved it with your hard work. Great job yet again sir!
I love to watch an artist at work. And you, sir, are truly an artist and amazing at your craft! This is my favorite truck ever and it hurt me to find out that Chevrolet discontinued it 😢 and it's hard to find a used one too. It's a week made machine; and this one is proof of that. Keep up the awesome work, Mitch!

*This video is captivating from start to finish! Your effort deserves praise, and this transformation is nothing short of miraculous.* 😍😍😍💯💯💯
WOW! I can't believe how beautiful it turned. You make a very beautiful job and is looking brand new again!
I have no clue what you would charge for a project of this magnitude, but whatever you made, you earned every dime!!!!! That was amazing!
Fantastic transformation!! LOTS of hard work and sweat was put into getting that Avalanche clean!! Good job!!!!!
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. This was one of the best ones. Soooooo satisfying.
Mitch this was an amazing adventure. You took a vehicle bound for the junkyard and turned it into prom date spectacular. A true Cinderella story. Great job!
Thank you!
I'm so impressed! My first time watching! I've had my van detailed it was not even close to this!!! Brilliant work!!
The detail geek Made it again!!!❤ Another satisfactory trasformationa
