Subhankar Banerjee's keynote talk at Re-MEDIAting the Wild, the 16th Conference on Communication and Environment hosted by the International Environmental Communication Association (IECA), June 23, 2021. Banerjee argues that the emphasis on "extinction" - which we cannot see - diverts us from what we should be talking about and we can see, namely the widespread abuse of natural places and exploitation of wildlife.
