    Just remember, even if someone else is in a full body cast your broken arm still hurts. Everyone's pain is valid, never compare yours to someone else's because at the end of the day you still hurt and trying to suppress that pain because you feel its not valid only hurts worse! Take it in, feel it, and work through it.

    I totally understand those days
    When I have days like that
    I sit down cry for 15 minutes
    Scream yell
    Then the rest of the day if I can I chill
    So it’s ok to not blog or do anything
    We are not letting people down
    As the ones that love us understand ❤️❤️❤️

    With your pending hip surgery, you should consider creating an Amazon wish list of items that would be helpful to you during your recovery. Things like jogging pants, any medical items, art supplies, books, tops... you can always find really nice things under a certain price limit if you're concerned about that. Plus, you can hide your address as well if you choose not to have things delivered to your p.o box. Just a thought any way. 💜

      Great idea at any time! We, your subscribers would love to help in any way we can! If you were to make an amazon wish list and post a link in the video description, we could send things from your wish list that you actually want or need!This could also go for your medical supplies. We can help you with that in the same way! Talk to your supply providers and see if they can help you set something like this up!

    I'm having "one of those days" today. A part of me wants to crawl back into bed and pull the sheets over my head and just sleep the whole day. However, I know that won't help the way I'm feeling. Thanks for the reminder that it's ok to feel this way but I need to just push through it and do what I need to do. It's hard not having anyone to talk to that understands what I'm going through. I've pretty much lost all of my friends due to health and mental problems. You gave me the motivation to get out of bed, so thank you. Hope you're having a good day.

    We zebras and Spoonies seem to have more of those days than most. You're right! None of us are alone in that. As for being sick all over your passenger seat, febreze works miracles and so does baking soda mixed with a couple drops of your favorite essential oil. Lemon is great in the car! It makes you feel so good when you get in your car. Leave the baking soda mixture on the seat over night or for at least 8 hours and then sweep or vacuum it up. Also, to keep odd smells out, keep a bit of activated charcoal in your car in either the door pocket or cupholder. It absorbs the smells before you even smell them, most of the time.

Watching your videos is helping me except my own limitations and that’s it’s okay. It goes to show you the old or sorta old(me) can learn from the younger. Hey sweetpea, coming from someone that's struggled with mental health for a very long time I want to tell you about the Thrive Programme. It's amazing, will change your life and give you the skills to get through the tough times. It's an incredible book that you read and apply the exercises to your life. Note: It's not a self help book and is backed up by full scientific facts. Lots of love, you're so great. Xx

    I feel you with this. I have ADHD and a lot of people don't understand the impact it has but essentially I get intrusive thoughts and chronic anxiety from over worrying. Some days I just get so angry that I have to deal with it and don't want to do any of it anymore. Those days suck but they do pass luckily.

    I feel you girl, some days i wake up and my chronic pain is so bad that i just can’t gain the strength to get out of bed, even if i know that getting up and moving will make me feel better somehow my mind just wont let that happen. Sometimes it’s best to take a self care day if you can on those kinda days, but i also know it’s important not to just sit and wollow in self pitty (even though thats quite often what i do) because often that will make my mental health even worse. Keep being strong and just remember we all have those days ❤️

    I can definitely relate to the beginning. I've had joint pain almost all my life, and the past 5+ years it's gotten a whole lot worse and now I've got nausea for who knows why. So far no doctor has been able to figure it out, all labs come back clean and so it just kind of seems like there's no end to it and I definitely go a little crazy with it sometimes. Maybe one day I'll get a diagnosis of sorts or my body will sort itself out, but for now these are just the cards and some days it's harder then others to make the best out of it

    Your intro was so reassuring. Sometimes I feel bad for having days like that when nothing is wrong (I suffer from OCD but it hasn't been bad for a while), especially when there are people like you who do an incredibly job of facing whatever their personal struggles may be every single day. I try really hard to keep a good perspective of that, but some days are just rough for no reason and you're amazing for acknowledging that and helping everyone feel a little better about those days.
    Stay strong and amazing, Amy! ❤

    Why’re they not using your Hickman for the infusion? About the choking on the candy, that made me laugh so much coz I’m like that too I’ve survived 14 intimations, 2 cardiac arrest and one time being clinically dead for almost 30 min, and I breathed in some root beer and couldn’t catch my breath, I said to myself “this better not be what takes me out! A flipping root beer!” 😂 😂

    Hi amy I have a question I don’t think you’ve answered before but could you explain how your pumps work? Like why do you need them for tpn and fluids but there was none for the iron? It just spiked my curiosity a bit.
    I love you videos! Keep on being so amazing 💕

    • @amyslife4457
      @amyslife4457  5 лет назад +4

      ilivetobellydance with iron they just use a gravity bag and they can adjust the flow with the giving set depending on how long the infusion goes for but with my TPN & feeds it has to be a set rate so it doesn’t run too fast or too slow, so I use the pumps to make sure I’m getting the correct dosage per hour! Hope that makes sense. Technically you could use gravity bags for TPN & feeds too but it would be just too difficult to make sure I was getting the right amount 😅

    I would like to voice a concern I have had. I am not a germophobic, but, I do know germs are not your friend. Wondering if you realize, every time, anyone walks into your home, they are putting everything they walked on, on your floors. When you use your wheelchair, you are putting it on your wheels and your hands, if your the one rolling it around. I just see how important it is, when you do your TPN, yet your walking on the floors, with your shoes, socks ect, with all the outside yuck on them. You might, want to think about making everyone take their shoes off, right inside the front door. What with it being winter in Australia, and colds and flu going around (as it always does in the winter} just wanted you to take extra precautions, especially when your gearing up for surgery in June! Sending you nothing, but loving, healing energy!!

    Yes, they are called Monte Carlo. I love them! Don’t they have them in England? Kingstons are good too. I suppose Arnotts was an Aussie company...P.S. you are such trooper Amy. Best wishes for your surgery preparations. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

    What’s the difference between a infusion and a transfusion?

    • @amyslife4457
      @amyslife4457  5 лет назад

      Lucy x infusion means that the IV is infused from an substance so things like saline, iron etc and a transfusion is somthing that’s transferred from one person to another so for example blood. Hope that made sense 😅

    How come your central line can’t be used for the iron infusion too? Is that kept solely for TPN and fluids? Sorry I don’t have any experience of central lines excluding on person on TPN.

    I have been meaning to ask. I cannot remember if you mentioned it. Do you have autoimmune disease? The reason I ask is because the last few years I have anemia and take iron. But for a few weeks I have had unexplained bruising and they believe it has to do with that. And then I see your video where you need an iron transfusion.
