Mourinho layed the foundation for The Champions League trophies and basically gave Carlo the squad winning La Decima. If Not for him i doubt we would’ve won that much. He did the dirty work and big decisions without blinking in order to revive that winning spirit or better obligation to win.

    • @StrikeAxl
      @StrikeAxl Год назад +33

His issue was the fallout with the team. Had he never picked a fight with casillas and Ramos he would have gone to win the champions league. It also didn't help that Madrid was such a historic club with so many egos and legends in the squad. If you think about inter, those players would have died for him on the field. In Madrid, not so much since some players thought they were more important to the club than Mou. At least that's my guess. If the players didn't agree with Mou there was division in the dressing room. When you think back to other Mou teams, they would stand by him.
His brand of football was also not the best fit for Real Madrid. When I think back to the 5-6 back to back clásicos, he played an aggressive football that I did not agree with as a Madrid fan. In hindsight, he did lay the foundation that Ancelotti took to the decima.
Edit: lol, i typed this before I finished watching the vid. Iconic said the same thing during the video, about players dying for Mou in the field.

12:06MIN Iker Casillas has recalled Jose Mourinho was "one of the first people" to check on his condition after he suffered a heart attack in 2019.Mourinho revealed back in 2021 there is a secret side the world is unlikely to see.Mourinho called Pep wishing his deepest condolences to his mother. In February 2021, the Special One said: “Football matches, football problems if you want to call them - for me, I’m from the generation where what happens in a football match stays in the football match and I have only positive feelings and good respect.“There are moments in life where we don’t forget things.
“One of the things I don’t forget was when my father died he knew how important my dad was to me so he had a call.
“By the way, today would be my dad’s birthday, he would be 83 today and, of course when his mum died I replied the same way.
“So there are things that people don’t see, we don’t need to share.
Love or hate Jose, but there is no doubt that this beautiful game would be poorer without him.

Mou is a genius, his style of play during his madrid tenure was absolutely deadly, a goal in 13 seconds or less after dispossessing opponents was so frightening to tjr opponents that it ended up being our teams very own weakness itself. Also, just something to think about on his classico results, it should be noted that it was prime golden barca back then, majority of their players were in their prime age of 29-30s, only messi was young. Real's average age on the other hand was barely 25, playing with huge pressure to face against that midfield trio + messi. Mou compelling them to be not only be fearless challengers but also into a team first mentality was simply a masterclass.

His tactical prowess is unparalleled, and he can outwit any opponent with ease. He's like a footballing wizard, conjuring up strategies that leave his rivals scratching their heads in utter bewilderment.
Not to mention his larger-than-life personality! Mourinho is a fire-breathing dragon of a manager, fearlessly taking on the media, referees, and even his own players. He's got the wit and charm of a sly fox, and his sharp tongue can cut through his critics like a hot knife through butter. He's the ultimate troll-master, always ready with a sassy comeback or a snarky remark that leaves everyone in stitches.
And let's talk about his trophy collection, shall we? Mourinho's success is off the charts! He's won league titles in multiple countries, conquered Europe with his tactical genius, and even secured domestic cups like it's child's play. He's a serial winner, a footballing colossus, and his track record speaks for itself. Who needs humility when you've got Mourinho's unapologetic swagger?

The best way I have to describe Jose, is he is the Napoleon of football, he came from nowhere and changed the game radically, why enraging all of his rivals (both personal and Chelsea’s) but like Napoleon, teams and tactics caught up with him, wether he can adapt if he decided to leave Roma? Who knows.

He calls out a lot of the bureaucratic hell that is football. Everyone within the teams in whatever league sees it, but they're not allowed, or are to acquiescent, to call it out. So that is very refreshing.

I can't like him with Blaugrana in my veins. But i will say, he is such a terrific troll. Me and my mates call him the 'A55hole one' instead of the special one.
But ya can't deny he had a good run although I personally don't like his footballing style.
Like the video showed, it's very hard to be a fan of him when you are a Barça fan. The history this guy had with us goes back deep.
But yeah, good video. Do more of these. On managers, coaches, private investors etc. Maybe for every 3 videos on a player, do 1 on these types. It's a good side content I say. Cheers

Interesting that Mourinho was an assistant and interpretor for van Gaal at Barcelona in the beginning of his career, and both use the same press room tactics (and antics ;)) to deflect attention from their players ;)

Honestly it's true, while he's been pretty rude and seemingly half petty. I'm still scared to see what he has in store Thursday. Legit one of those managers where it genuinely seems that the inconsistent AS Roma wins might just be to confuse his opponent into underestimating him just that slight bit. (Although thankfully our coach still acknowledges how insanely tough it will be Away from home despite winning 1-0 in the first leg.)
