I have a water globe that I put flowers in and I’ll just say, smaller flowers tend to look better, just cause the globe magnifies the flower. So if you start with a large flower, it almost gets blown out/distorted. But lovely pieces! I can’t wait to see what’s next 😊

Hello EVERYONE, (OMG these videos are so cool!) I have a resin question and thought I’d look up the coolest resin channel on RUclips...and here we are! I had a bar made and the top is wood framed resin with beer bottle caps. Buuuuut I just went outside and it’s CRACKED! Do any of you creative geniuses know how that can be repaired?

I'd love to see this again with more different colored flowers! I'm imagining pink roses with purple and white wispies and starry glitter
There's no such thing as too much glitter! (But it would be cool to see it added behind the rose instead of in front maybe!)
I agree I like dark flowers but the way the sphere shape bends the light it just doesn't look great. (On camera anyway. No idea how it looks in person.) Brighter colored flowers and probably smaller ones that don't cast such a dark shadow underneath would look better for that particular mold. Spray painting some flowers metallic colors would be good for the sphere's light refraction too.

My mind has gone into over drive thinking of what you can do with this mold.
My partner and I often watch your videos so we have you playing in the background quite often. We heard your intro bit wasn't watching the screen and saw you holding a circle mould. We are both like didn't she say spear? So for like half the video we thought you were making spears not spheres 😂

Do a sphere with a dandelion, so cool
I watched a video where they use uv resin just to “glue” the two part molds and to prevent from having also spilling resin as that annoying excess of it, making it easier to clean it up; I actually never tried this technique but, who knows... love your work of arts. :D
You should make a Dino landscape inside a rectangle prism. Have grass, sky, Dinos, maybe a water place, clouds, etc. or maybe with wild horses or deer.
Wouldn't soapy water work to get those out the molds too? It's a cool process but I think a smaller rose would have been looked better. No shade but I don't like the fact the rose lost the black color but you love it so that's all that matters! I love watching you do resin crafting and you are the reason I have decided to try some small things and most certainly nothing as big as some of the items you have done like the giant sunflower! I'm scared! lol Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
i would think that using a flower half the width of the widest part of the sphere would yield the best results of viewing because spheres do magnify the object inside.

Interesting that you dont see layers between the different pours. I understood resin always did that if allowed to cure between pours. Cool pieces.

try putting neat washing up liquid on the outside of the mould so it slides over itself easier...great video

Doesn't the resin just Flow out of the flower again once it's placed upside down and the mold not being filled some more?

Beautiful! I don't know if it would work, but if you managed to do your alcohol ink magical drop swirl thingies (clearly I have a FABULOUS grasp of the technical terms here!) you could make something that would like like a crystal ball from a Disney movie or something. All purple and black and green swirls and you'd half expect Maleficent to appear. But maybe it might not work in layers. I don't know. But anyway, fabulous work, as always. Happy New year.
What if you did a flower in the smaller sphere and then put that into the larger sphere by suspending it?
Did you leave the resin to completely dry before putting another layer ? X

Would using a pressure pot to pull out the air bubbles be something you could do for your type of casting? I don't do any resin myself but I've seen other crafters use a pressure pot to reduce bubbles in deeper or larger pours.

Ok... So where is the paint that was on the rose going?! It's not mixing or floating in the resin.
You're such a joy to watch -- I love your videos! Thank you for this one -- how sweet that they sent you treats that we get to enjoy too. In watching you do this, I wondered if putting the flower closer to the bottom and more layers of resin above it would make it more visible?
So glad to finally see you do a sphere with a flower in it. That has been my objective since I got into resin. I currently only have the two piece molds and it is a constant struggle to try and eliminate all the air bubbles and get rid of that ring around the seam. I recently changed up the brand of resin I am using and I'm having slightly better luck with less air bubbles, still have that darn ring around the seam. The best way I have seen people polished these fears is on a lathe, which I do not have. Sanding and polishing Spears by hand especially if they contain air bubbles is an absolute absurd task. Glad to see you had some success with this and I will go look for these molds now. Thanks for the video

You are supposed to hot glue the seam of the sphere lol.... when you are done, the hot glue peels right off.

Love your videos, explanations and especially your sense of humor! To pop resin out of molds, I loosen the silicone mold all around the top and put some diluted dishwashing liquid in. I just squeeze my finger down between silicone mold and resin to work the soap down. Then I keep squeezing the mold and the resin shape usually pops out easily. Be careful because the resin shape will be slippery.

This is such a good tutorial! I may follow this but I have a question. I’m a cosplayer and I’m trying to make a prop to where I need the resin sphere. But, do you have any ideas how I can do two colors and MAYBE a symbol inside?
You look like Wyonna Judd. I am looking at your video for the first time and that’s who I though you resemble. I know we bought one/ordered one from Hallmark special moments for like $40.00 or more for a coworker. It had a picture of her deceased sister. Great video.
When I did a resin rose 🌹 I flooded it. Let it harden. To avoid the bubbles. Then did the layer. It worked for me. Forgot I did make a few resin pieces besides our counter top.

Did you know you are in a commercial for brightmodest.com website for “resingle ar scratch remover? It looks like you, just for one second you are holding a brilliantly polished resin item with I think it is an orangy colour flower. I’m pretty sure it is you. Your face is partially hidden. They have a couple other artists on there too. It is about half way through the commercial. Just thought I’d let you know. If it is you, you should get paid for your hard and wonderful work!
