- I Found PARADISE in the Philippines!
Many Filipino islands are beautiful, but this region of the Philippines exceeded my expectations. Anda is a region of Bohol, Philippines that instantly became one of my favorite towns in the Philippines. The local Filipinos share their sea urchins with me as I tour this beautiful property in Anda, Bohol. Thanks for watching!

Hi Jonathan, I'm Filipino-American based in NY.. was born and raised in Manila... the scooper or water dipper is used for many things, bathing ,washing hands or washing ourselves after using the bathroom. Filipino in general doesn't use toilet papers ...we use the dipper to wash ourselves. However, we don't use the same dipper that is from the bathroom and bring it in the kitchen. 😊
I know Sam he is my wifes brother... Its a small world i just happened to be watching on my other channel and seen him. Have a wonderful time in Paradise
It truly is a small world. Even smaller with social media.
here in the Philippines you can talk to almost everyone because even the kids know how to speak in english . Im so proud of my Country ❤ thankyou for staying by the way .
true! It makes traveling around meeting people much more enjoyable being able to communicate!
thank you for welcoming us foreigners
That water scooper in the bathroom is called "tabò" in Tagalog or "dipper" in English. Filipino households always have a few of that, used for almost everything when they need water for the plants, laundry, etc. But it's mostly useful when there's no shower head or bidet in the bathroom😁
Kabo in bisaya, since you're in Bohol. The reason why we did not have toilet paper shortage during the covid outbreak. 😅
actually the 'tabo' could help conserve water in comparison to the westerners way of wasting much water when taking their baths/shower.
I am currently in Cebu...I have traveled by motorcycle,..your content inspired me to come.
I am amazed by the people I meet...they, in my opinion, make PH paradise.
Safe travels kick ass have the best time ever tip well dance on a beach have a drink of whatever to salute me I turned 68 16, may! I’m living vicariously thru you all lol 😂 BLESSINGS🙏🏻❤️
Southern Cebu has the best spots, get out of the city.
@@WhackashitCollaborations thanks..I have been to Carcar, took the ferry from Oslob to Dipatan..Dipolog..sunset boulevard is awesome. Going south is great advice..
@@slavetothegrind872 I'm talking Moalboal, Badian, Alegria.
I will be back in Cebu, in August.
Hard to believe places like that still exist but having people with positive attitudes even makes it more special.
What are the odds someone would run into a place like that.
Happy for you .
Hi Johnathan, I love your videos. I live in San Diego California and planning to move to the Philippines next year. I was watching a video of an expat in Dumagette this morning and he was asked a question, Of all the places he had visited in the Philippines what city was the best he had visited, His answer was Anda in Bohol. Hope to see another video of Anda from you soon. The biggest problem for me is deciding where to live in the Philippines.
I can't believe I saw how beautiful my country is 😭😭 thank you for visiting us and we will welcome you with all our hearts❤️❤️❤️ I'm just in here watching u seeing the beauty of the Philippines
its nice to see more foreign vloggers appreciate the beauty of Philippines.. thankyou for the compliment for the filipino people and the country itself... thankyou for promoting good tourism in my country as well, it's a big help
This is what you love about our country. The People. Talk to them and you get an amazing interaction.
You’re on the road to 100k now Jon, the channel is growing fast! Keep it up! 🇵🇭🇺🇸
Thanks for loving our Filipino people
Wow what a beautiful location by the water for just $30.00 a night. It is amazing that even the children in the Philippines are so friendly and respectful. They seem to interact with strangers so easily. In America the young kids would be scared to interact with someone they didn't know.
Well, your kids are taught "Stranger danger". In PH, kids are taught "Be charitable to strangers. Feed them, offer drink, give shelter esp. to travelers." It has both its pros and cons. But having this assumption that all men are good, I'm glad PH kids are taught excellently.
i mean, even picking up a stranger (like hitchhiking) these days isn't not safe anymore, cuz you don't what kind of person that stranger is .... there's tons of cases where the hitchhikers ended up kidnapped (or if you aren't lucky) or killed the owner/driver of the car ..... so it's better to be safe than sorry .....
@@johnnier.o.d4746 in the philippines it is already imbedded in our gene the value of bayanihan where every one help one another, its another way of saying filipinos minds each other businesses in a helpful way, if you hurt just 1 of the children you'll be "KUYOG" or the whole community will take action against an intruder.
@@ramonguevarra856 ... whatchu talkin' 'bout willis ??? I'm a noypi,i know what i'm talkin' .... if you haven't lived in canada or u.s ,then you don't know why ...... I've lived in the u.s & canada & growing up in viasyas area ..... you can ask your friends or relatives if you think you're smartass ..... 😂🤣😂🤣-🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 .....
I had to watch two “interesting” ads without skipping, but whatever helps the channel, man!
Thank you so much John!! It’s really appreciated!
Thank you Jonathan for touring us in our beautiful country thats full of wonderful creations of God..
About that dipper"tabo"in tagalog at timba..not all houses here in the philipines specially has a shower..but has all that in batroom o in kitchen..to put water..thats why,you can see that in all bathroom..enjoy your tour..
New sub here brother... It's nice to hear that you enjoyed your time here in the Philippines... I watched your previous uploads and find your compliments about the places you've been and the locals you interacted with so authentic and heartfelt... Continue with what you're doing brother... Just spread good vibes and positivity 👍😉✌️

My husband and I have been watching your channel and I am thankful that you have been doing this. Many Filipinos only know their place when they went to other countries. Now by watching your channel they can see more of the beautiful spots of the Philippines and at the same time you are promoting the Tourism if the Philippines. My husband is already a big fan of yours. You are so adventurous in trying to eat some things you don’t even know. You are funny😀
When i was a kid we Live in Bohol until Grade 3, theh we left after and live in the City currently in Pasig, Manila. I know that Bohol is an amazing place to visit for its tourism but what you are showing is beyond expectations. Honestly, i learn to swim when i was like 5 years old because our old house was located near the river, i miss the simple life tho. 😊 This is the kimd of place you wanna wakeup in the morning 😢city life is not fun anymore. Here it's buzzzin', hot and humid, with air pollution 🎉🎉
Anyways, keep safe and enjoy bro❤
Jonathan you are so familiar the attitude and charisma of the locals it might be teens, the old and children youve captured thier smiles and every time you are with them gives you wisdom and know more about thier culture and sports. 😅
thank you!! I taught English to kids for many years, so I think that helps with being able to chat with them as well as adults!
Watched all your videos without skipping any adds just to show my appreciation and respect and also to support your channel sir Jonathan. You're really a good man, Filipinos loves you. #teamAmping😊

Yay! Been waiting for your next upload! I’m a filipina living here in Los angeles and because of your videos we’ll be planning a trip to go there hopefully this year 🤞🏼🙏🏼. I’ve watched all your videos in 3 days! I enjoy watching you enjoy my country! Stay safe! 🥰
Thank you so much for watching!! I’ve got a few more from the series coming out soon!
I feel so bad, I’ve never been to those places you’ve been in your videos. I’m missing out so much of my beautiful country. You have a very a natural way of talking to the camera and to my fellow filipinos like your friends with them.. I don’t usually watch blogs but you’re very good. 👍🏼😊
@@Idontneedasafespace Don’t feel bad please❤️🙏🏻the honest truth is most all of us don’t! Lol there is beauty all around this world and often, we don’t get to see it. I live in Arizona, the Grand Canyon state, which is only ever seen on television or magazines, never dreaming to be here! Yet there’s an even prettier place I got to live in here called Sedona. 23 years I maintained in beauty spectacular! But poor🤣🤣🤣enjoyed every minute anyway. Dream. Travel. First chance you can 🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
The beauty and warmth of that place is surpassed only by the people there, I can see why you jokingly said you wanted to move there!
100% agree! Everything about Anda is so relaxing.. the nature and the locals
5:05 i feel like this dude has been in the Philippines for a while... The way he answers reminds me of the locals. "yeah, yeah.." the laid back reaction and especially the eyebrows going up and down when he said see you around lol
hahah yeah, super chill
I truly appreciate you captioning the trade currency from Peso to USD. Great work!! And those kids were just so sweet and kind. They represent the people of how kind and welcoming they are 🤗
NICE PLACE AND QUIET..YOU HAVE A BRIGHT BLUE EYES..SO BEAUTIFUL. YOU CAN DIVE THERE TOO?WONDERFUL!I WISHED I CAN VISIT THAT PLACE TOO.I'M FROM BACOOR.
Jonathan, the black small scooper is called TABO in Filipino. In English, we call it a water dipper. It is used to wash our behind after poo poo. We use water and soap to clean our behind every time we use the toilet. We only use toilet tissue to dry our behind after washing with soap and water. Afterward, we wash our hands with germicidal soap in the sink. Then dry them with a towel or tissue. We are not satisfied cleaning our behinds with just tissue paper. Most Filipinos take a shower or bath after using the toilet.
This place is AMAZING !!
It is! I love Anda in general, but this was a bit outside the town, not walking distance to the town.. but because of that it had its own little private beach. Such a great spot!
What a beauty so clean water.amazing beach ❤😮
Yeahhh! Later in the series I go to the public beach, probably the bluest water I’ve ever seen!
Hi Jonathan enjoy vlogging thank you for sharing new Beach in anda nice clear water
Shout out to R&D Travellers Inn in Anda. Not on the beach but really nice rooms with AC and pool. Excellent prices and they have breakfast. 3 minute scooter ride to the beach. I stayed there twice in February. Really nice family.
I actually saw that as I was driving in!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL I agree with you on Anda, I mentioned it to you before. I would settle there in a heart beat but I have health issues and it is a long way from good medical care. If I were young and healthy it would be a no brainer. I am here now looking around. On my way to Leyte soon. I will give you a report. Cam
The one being sold in Japan restaurants is from a specific type of sea urchin which is kind of hard to harvest because it is not commonly found, that is why it's expensive. The sea urchin you will commonly see here in Philippines is the cheap one but still very tasty. Also, we just simply say 'enjoy' but if you really want to know the Bisaya translation of it, it is 'Pag Tagbaw'.
Idk. 'Pagtagbaw' is more like eat all you can. But can come across as the same, he can also say ' pakalipay mo ana'
The thing in the toilet you want to know in basaya is called kabo
Tabo in Tagalog
Almost there my friend! Silver button is waving. 🎉 Bisaya usually say "Enjoy", "Lipay-lipay mo diha", "Happy-happy mo dira". If you wanted to say I've enjoyed it just say "lipay kaayo ko!" , "nalipay jud ko".
Sir.Jonathan 😊 i loved 😍 your eyes 👀 ♥️ and those beaches ⛱️ is really amazing 😮 😊
hahah thank you!
Kid in a candy store with those eyes. Have to tease my wife cuz she has the same name as the poster.
Oh no! On top of everything else, you look like my wife's favorite, Jason Statham. Hmm.....
Thanks for this video and for your other ones. The scenery there is just gorgeous.
The small bucket is called the "tabot" its used to wash your bottom after you take a poop
From Springfield Illinois I watched your vedio every day.
Hi pare Jonathan, this is my favorite vid here! Enjoying it from the US ...miami fl! I miss it
Congratulations! You Found Anda Town! It is better than Panglao Area. Its crowded there already. But Anda is Peacefull
Hi Jonathan, I grew up in Jagna so Anda was our go to beach. There are so many beautiful places to explore in Bohol. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for your vlogs.
I was just chatting with someone from Jagna yesterday! Must have been a great place to grow up. So beautiful all around that area
From Ubay, Anda is only around 45 minutes. we've been there on 3 occasions. it's paradise.❤
I can tell you a quite unknown sandbar which is very beautiful along with people who can bring you with the boat. Its not so far from Anda, yet the people from Anda get more tourists. Lets get people from neighbour towns a bit more business :)
In the Mabini area.. Lumayag Sandbar during the day and nicely illuminated TSEDI Highlands & Bayview Park in the night :)
Wow! Love watchig ur vlogs. New subbie here, bruh from riyadh
Thank you for the sub!
Youre the best jonathan! Keep it up and more more videos to come!
paradise is in a beautiful place with important person in your life.
Thanks again for sharing your amazing video
We call it Tabo in Tagalog, but since you are in Bohol the Visayas region it is called Kabo. Kabo and a bucket or pail or we call it Balde is essential in every Filipino household bathroom. Bathroom shower doesn't work especially if the water pressure in faucet is low.
Wow that's awesome
Glad to see you there sir Amping
It's been a long time that I have not visited Bohol, such as Baclayon, and Garcia. My grandparents were Boholanos. They migrated to Camiguin island, however. Mother used to take summer classes at Divine Word University in Tagbilaran for her teaching degree. If you happen to go to Jagna, just hop in a ferry boat to Camiguin island; it's just few hours away. Our boat made a regular "stop-over" for an hour or two in Jagna onto Cebu. Try Jagna's kalamay---a delicacy which is always a pasalubong (Tagalog) or tinabuan (Bisaya) as homecoming gift when Filipinos travel. You can make Panglao or maybe Anda as your base point.
Very relaxing
It is!
Hello jonathan
Have a great Day always
Just drive safely....
The little scoop we call "TABO"😊 very common here in the Philippines in every filipino houses😊
Oooo I didn’t know the name, thank you for your response!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL that thing called Tabo were we use to take a bath and wash our butt after we poop😊
After we pooped or after were deposited 💤👍 because mostly Filipino people hardly to buy a tissue especially on that area so goodluck 🙋🙏atsuuup 👍

Another great and interesting video.
Daaammn!! I LOVE PHILIPPINE TABO IN THE PINOY BATHROOM!!❤❤❤❤❤
That small scooper is called “tabo”, very common in Philippines as most of houses here don’t have a shower and also most of Filipinos don’t use toilet paper after poop, washing our butt with water and soap using “tabo” 😅
thank you for the explanation! I've seen them but never knew how to use it 😅
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL the dipper is also useful when you only have a bit of water for bathing. you can easily control the amount you pour
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL but now mostly hotels have bidet and rich Filipino household have bidet on their toilet
Jonathan that bucket is called "tabo" most of fiilipino use it to take a bath.. since most of us dont have showers..
The small scooper is for showering
YO! Mad respect Jonathan, you made the long journey to Anda. 👍
Very nice! Hoping we can visit Bohol again and see Anda this time.
My family and I are always watching and waiting for your journey videos. Take care and be careful always! Good luck!😎
The scooper or dipper. We called that in tagalog "Tabo" we used it for everything because not every househould do have showers. So for taking a bath, if you don't have glass we used it when brush our teeth and ultimately we used in to wash our a** after taking a s*** , since not all household again do have bidet
You may come interest as well some of street vendor, mostly what I see they used it for scooping soup (I am not sure if you ate the Street Pares/Mami but it is a clean one bought new not the one use on the bathroom LOL)
ENJOY Jonathan!
Shoutout if you can on your next vlog! More power!
Wow bro love to going there soon for diving my favourite place in Philippines 🇵🇭 so stunning and beaty ilands not others Asia only the Philippines so beautiful
