    I get on average 500-600 mbps! I’ve had up to and over a thousand! I do have a 5g mast about 100 meters away in direct sight,so I’m guessing that makes a huge difference. I couldn’t be happier.

      Wow! I thought they capped it at about 300. Nice. Yes, been just over a month now, and very happy.

    I've had it for about a yr now - I'm on a 2 yr contract, which costs £20 pm and I got the first 3 months for free. I get 4G most of the time with a speed of 40 to 50 Mbs which is fine for streaming and most of my needs and sometimes late at night it flips over to 5G and the speed goes up to 150 ish. My data is unlimited. I also have my mobile phone contract (sim only) with 3, which costs me £5.50 pm and 1Gb of data. Overall for about £26 pm I'm quite happy and I've had no problems with either mobile broadband or phone - but having said that I know some people have had problems, especially if ordered online as opposed to going to the Three shop.

      Thanks for the info. About 3 weeks in now. I get 200mbit + all the time. No down time yet. Yeah, I've got a 2 year contract as well, £24/month, £12 for first 6 months, but also used topcashback, that was £76 back (gone up to £90 odd back now). Very happy so far. Fingers crossed! Got mine online, so hopefully no issues! Cheers!

      @@robz16 Hi there, 3G is a fair bit slower than 5G, and 100GB is the amount of data you get - this is unlimited data at 300mbit (speed) - On home broadband, you download one game, and these days that's 100GB gone! Cheers!

    Hi mate, I'm in a similar position in terms of the distance away from the mast. This router sucks for WiFi. I'd recommend trying to put it into modem mode (which it does support) and getting a good WiFi router, I can pull 1 Gbps from it using my own WiFi 6E router. Give it a go on ethernet and see what speeds you get.

      Nice! Unfortunately all my ethernet ports and cards are 100mbit - not got a gig card to try. I'm now discovering my network is a bit antiquated! As I've been on 2.5Mbit ADSL for so long, that's been the bottleneck, so not been worried about the network as it made no difference. My main PC was still using a WiFi G card until I got the three broadband! Time for some upgrades me thinks.... Cheers!

      @@Tech-NerdromeYou can get a wifi 6,6e or 7 card for a pretty reasonable price from Intel, for a Intel wifi 7 card it's around 30 to £50 a wifi 6e card is around 30 to £40

      Guys, are you using a better router with three one through cable to get faster speeds?

      @@tiktokeruwunok4640 hi, no, just the standard router 3 supplied, over WiFi (not using a wired connection). Cheers!

    Although yes there is an RJ 11 socket for a phone, even if you do use a phone sim three simply block incoming calls

      Yeah, figured they might. I guess they may implement it later.... Our maybe they are worried about eating into their own market if it came with a functioning phone ability too.... Cheers!

      @@Tech-Nerdrome Or try plugging in a lagacy phone to see what happens, it may take a minute for a dial tone. I have an unlocked 4g modem with an O2 sim and a legacy phone that works 100%

    Hi, be good to also know how much power it uses, if you have one of those cheap pass through meters?

    • @Tech-Nerdrome
      @Tech-Nerdrome  Месяц назад +1

      Hi, no sorry, I don't. From the shot of the bottom, it's input is 12v 1.5A, so I guess the max power draw will be 18W. I'll see if I can find a power meter though, as would be useful to have ..... Cheers!

      @@Tech-Nerdrome Also good to compare with last router, to compare overall powerusage and power usage per mb/s or whatever? Also, can it have pfsense installed on it??? :D
