Should you buy that house? There are subtle ways God speaks to us to give personal direction in our individual lives, but it all starts with the Bible. One of the biggest examples of God speaking to me through a circumstance I wished He would change is when I was desperately asking Him for answers and clarity on a situation, but He didn’t immediately bring it. Instead He showed me something POWERFUL in it (I share more about it in this video: ruclips.net/video/odlWnSWEaRY/видео.html) to this day it is one of the most profound lessons I’ve learned…and learning it required me to stay in the circumstance I wished would change longer than I hoped. My wife is 8 months pregnant and today while driving she was in a terrible head-on collision. Her car was pushed 15 meters while she was inside. She was transferred from the driver's seat to the passenger seat. I thank God that she survived without any injuries except the swelling. After checking, the baby is 100% okay. God is great
If God is your fortress, the enemy can't touch you. That baby is protected by God :)

One revelation God gave me concerning my romantic life two years ago. At that time and even now, I have not been in relationship. There was one moment I cried out to God with my concerns about how it felt like my romantic life was a barren wasteland. Nothing had or was changing for years. The Lord spoke to my heart to look into how long it takes for plants to grow. Eventually, it lead me to a site talking about slow-growing plants and why they are beneficial and perfect for a patient gardener.
The Lord then spoke to me saying "You see, I’m not trying to reduce your love life, I am trying to reduce the pain which comes through it”.
All this time I thought I was being punished, when rather I was being divinely protected.
Because to remove painful pruning and cutting, slow growth is necessary. And God, who is the patient gardener in our lives knows what we need even if we can't see it.

I feel like God is showing me closed doors everywhere I look lately. It's frustrating. It even makes me doubt at times and wonder why I believe, but maybe that's the purpose of God acting in ways we don't understand and showing us his power.

It definitely isn't always easy to accept, but later on when I i reflect on it I can clearly see God's hand.

Kaci, will you please pray for me? I completely ruined my relationship because of my insecurities. I’ve been praying and fasting. God has been telling me (through His Word, Sunday sermons, and in prayer) to have hope. Praying things will work out for us in the end in Jesus’ name.

Kaci, I’ve said it before but I know the Holy Spirit is working through you. When you read about Paul’s thorn in his side and how God’s glory shines through our weakness I immediately started crying. I keep having various medical problems that usually affect women decades older than me. I have felt the “best years of my life” I being affected so negatively and my poor family pays the price, but I have to remember not only is God using it for my benefit, but for me families too. “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice”!
I can relate to everything you said. I've been dealing with a chronic condition since my late teens. I'm now in my late 30s and it's only gotten worse over the years. Years of prayer and closed doors from medical help (they say I'm too young for surgery) made it hard to understand why God hadnt healed me yet. However I'm seeing that God has been using it to grow me and my ability to love Him throughout the trials. At times I have felt like the best years of my life have been robbed from me, but I'm still hoping God will make my latter years better instead. I hope and pray that He does the same for you also, God bless you 🙏🏾

Hi Kaci...I believe God is speaking to me through this painful circumstance of my son and his wife alienating us from their lives by showing me after 2 1/2 years of pleading with him to change it...he is calming me to trust in him and give it to him because I know he has a plan and he wants me to wait for his Glory to show up.. to be marveled by his goodness and power. The thorn in my side is still there but I know God will remove it in due time. He loves my family and wants us to be reunited but he also wants all the Glory so we can PRAISE HIS GOODNESS AT A LEVEL THAT CAN'T BE EXPLAINED ❤
That has got to be such a painful circumstance...praying God moves in the circumstance and also continues to show you how He is working and speaking to you in the waiting 🙏🏼

I'm excited as well for the wrong reasons
Here's a question about the Romans verse. I have a very severe case of "Moral OCD" and can't tell the difference between real promises to God and intrusive thoughts. On June 14 I had a thought that went, "I promise God I can't write". I'm scared that this thought is an accidental promise therefore I can no longer write or type anymore, so even typing these words sends me into a panic. To make things worse, I'm trapped in poverty and need to write a resume to seek work. Would it be a sin for me to text mental health professionals, write grocery lists, etc. because of the "doubt"? Or does this not count? Sorry if this seems like an absurd question. I just don't know how to interpret the Romans verse in light of this.
...I think this counts as a "thorn in the flesh".
[edit: Wait, did you say a discount for Christian counselling?! I mean, I probably won't be able to afford even that, I'm one-step-away-from-homelessness kind of poor. Sorry if this comment is rather glum.]
I would like to offer some advice from a similar experience I had. I had a different form of the "Moral OCD", as you call it (love that term btw). I was struggling, thinking that every single thought I had of something theoretically "good" to do (ranging from very momentary tasks to bigger things), or, funnily enough, just something that I didn't want to do, was something that God was *telling* me to do. Needless to say, this would have been exhausting and unhealthy had I followed it to the letter, but it also made me feel guilty, thinking "Am I disobeying God?".
What I have since learned is that, God doesn't conceal what he wants to say to us. If he needs to say something to us, he will make it crystal clear in ways that we can understand it.
Now, in regards to your problem, I would tell you that God isn't an oppressive lawyer. He's not going to hold you to the whims of a random thought. He will only hold you to an intentional oath, where you go to him and deliberately make a promise to him.
@@gamingbud926 "Moral OCD" has literally existed for centuries. John Bunyan had it, Martin Luther had it. They called it "Scruples" back in the day. My problem is that I cannot tell the difference between intrusive thoughts, "pseudo-intentional" thoughts, and real vows. Similarly, the great John Bunyan sadly struggled with blasphemous intrusive thoughts and he was scared to death that he committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit - remarkably, later he realised that he had not sinned at all, and he knew God forgave him. But as for me... the trouble is, in order to teach myself that the thoughts aren't real vows, what I did was purposely "play" the sentence "I promise not to write" in my head. Since prayer can be made silently - see Hannah, the mother of Samuel - I panicked. If I purposely thought it in my head, beginning with the words "I promise", does that make a difference? Ugh, now I can't even type/write without worrying about sinning, I know God tests us through trials but STILL.

@@norikokomikado With any intrusive thoughts yell out God’s Prayer “ Our Father who Art in Heaven and say it as many times as you need to! Do this every time an intrusive thought comes through your mind!
@@cathyandresiak Isn't that a compulsion in of itself though? And Jesus says we're not supposed to repeat prayers like a mantra if I recall correctly. I'll say a simple, "Lord, help me" instead.

I haven’t, felt, hear or seen signs in over a year.
I donno what I’ve done wrong.
I also was in a relationship with a Jewish girl, and a few months in found out she had multiple sexual partners before.
And I called it off as I was wanting to wait until marriage.
(I don’t know why she was ok with it? Seems mixed opinions in Judaism on this subject.)
Should I forgive her?
I know couples who chose to remain together despite one's past with other sexual partners. While the one who had no previous partners wasn't thrilled with the partner's past, they chose to work through and accept it. They also chose to wait until marriage to honor the virginal partner's wishes. That's a sign of tremendous respect. No one can tell you what to do, but forgiveness is never wrong. Taking her back is up to you, but that differs from forgiveness.

I only acknowledge the written word of God and Christ. I do not acknowledge any extra-biblical prophecies. There is so much prophecy going on the internet, but I do not pay attention to them because the scripture is already available. I only listen to the scriptures, never to what people are saying even it may sound favorable.
