Welcome. Thank you kindly and thank you for being part of our awesomely kind Community! May you have a wonderful day! The Natchez tree is majestically beautiful, glad you also enjoyed it!
Wow that is amazing. What a blessing to enjoy such beauty everywhere. Well at least for me That is awesome, for some not so much. This tree can be considered invasive because of how quickly it can spread. Thanks for sharing your kind comment and being part of our kind Community. May you have a wonderful day!
Hi! I have not seen many pollinators attracted to this tree, the trees that get the most pollinators including lots of bees in our garden are the chaste tree ( this tree gets lots of bees, that’s why we planted four of them close to the orchard for more pollination) also the butterfly bush is a classic tree that attracts butterflies and bees and the one that people usually don’t think of the holly tree ( they get full of bees in spring, that’s we transplanted four of them to the orchard). Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment and thank you for being part of our awesomely kind Community! May you have a wonderful day!
The Natchez tree bark falls off every autumn. Hopefully you have a lot of lichen because of the great air quality in the area and the dying tree bark. The lichen does not take any nutrients from the tree but in certain trees it can be an indicator that the tree is dying. The lichen just loves the dying bark of the trees. Hope this helps. Thank you for your comment and for being part of our awesomely kind community. May you have a wonderful day!
That’s a gorgeous house and tree. I have this one and I love it. Only problem is that it is one of the last trees to start blooming in spring. Around late March is when it starts leafing out. I’m in 8a. Quick question, do you deadhead the seeds (the dry brittle branches at the end of the tree) before spring or do you just not touch it and let nature do it’s thing? Great video brw
Hi Rafael. Thanks for the kind comment. I am so happy that you also get to enjoy this majestic beauty Yeii! Congrats on having your own pretty Natchez tree! As for the seeds I just let them be. The Natchez tree can spread like wild fire and specially the seeds can germinate and create it’s normal cycle and next thing you know you have a few trees growing around your main tree, so is important to remove any new growth that you may not want. What I do is at the beginning of summer and end of spring when I am doing that deep garden clean up I check for any new suckers growing and just pull them that way I don’t have lots of Natchez crape Myrtle growing right on top of each other. Hope this helps. Thank you for being part of our kind Community! May you have a wonderful day!
Hi, I would say the month of May or early June at the end of spring and beginning of summer giving you a few months of long sunlight, and nice weather for stabilization before the harsh winter. Hope this helps.
Yeiii! I love this! Thanks for sharing! It makes me very happy to know Natchez is also your favorite! Thanks for being being part of our kind Community! May you have a wonderful day!
Thanks for the comment! They are considered invasive and if they love the environment that they are in, it can spread like weeds… so that means that the Natchez tree that you have loves you lots or at least the environment it is in! Just make sure to keep it clean around the main tree, and remove any new shoots when babies. Prevention is key. That is what I do with ours and thank God is doing great and none of the new shoots have grown to a full tree. Thanks again for the comment and for being part of our awesomely kind Community! May you have a wonderful day!
Thanks ..... Regards from Serbia (East Europe ) .... Tamara !
