  • When you're golf ball is around the green, it can end up in different lenghts of grass. Next to the green you have the fringe, very short grass. Next to that is the first cut. Normally that has the lenght of the fairway. Behind the first cut is the rough and in some cases, next to the rought is the deep rough with thick grass. How can you play the ball out of those different types of grass? Watch our video and check it out!

    Which wedge is your favourite?

Great breakdown of the way to approach each shot!
My favorite is my Cleveland CBX2 54 degree wedge. I can use a simple stroke to get it to roll out,or I can open the face and get it to pop-up and stop.

    great videos!.
do you have one on getting out of packed sand in bunker.
I play municipal courses, not always fluffy sand, sand sometimes very compact and hard. brief video description of how to get out would be great.keep up good work!

You make it look so easy Tom, Chipping has never been my forte, so I chip like Raymond Floyd, time for a change maybe 🤔

Tom! I only carry a PW and a SW. Could I play these shots just by opening the face and use the bounce on one or the other to obtain the same results?

      Hi John!
Thx for your question, yes you can adjust your Pw and Sw by changing your ball position or lie and loft of your clubhead

    You are confusing the golfers!
A Chip shot is a low-flying shot where the ball flies a short distance and rolls more than it carries in the air.
Three of your shots were considered Pitch shots; a Pitch is a high-flying shot where it carries more than it rolls. You use higher lofted clubs and want more spin to control the amount of roll, after the ball lands on the green.

      Hi Ric Moore Golf,
Just to make things very clear: a chip shot is considered to be a movement without using your wrist in the backswing and downswing, you can use all your clubs to make that type of shot. And yes, many golfers associate a chip shot with a chip and run.
But it can also be played with lots of loft and spin if you use your lob wedge from your front foot
I will make a special video for you and all the other golfers who are confused.

@@Weplaygolf I am very clear! It’s obvious you should practice what you preach, in you last two shots I detected wrist hinge!

Sir, why's the weight and hands towards the left

    • @Weplaygolf
      @Weplaygolf  Год назад

Hey Daniel, thanks for your question, the more you keep your hands and body weight towards the front foot the more you will get a steeper angle of attack in the downswing, so you will hit the ball first and the grass after the impact.
This is needed to make great contact in all our shots.
