Your helper is better then mine!!!!
Your video was very informative,BUT you forgot to talk about the síntomas of bad functions 😮
Great video man, thank you. I was looking for some background info before I do this job on a 2000 Pathfinder SE 3.3 V6. I laughed when I saw Randy, he looks like a great assistant haha. I'll try not to drop the horseshoe nut into the abyss down below.
Thanks for the feedback, hope it saved you some headache!
thank you for your help I really appreciate it
A big Thank You. I had the exact same problem. Watched your video. Sure enough my 2003 Xterra has a same broken vacuum hose as yours. Changed it and everything good so far.
Awesome, glad to hear it helped!
@@averagedudeproductions5650 So the EGR code went away. I'm now dealing with a P0171 code.
💪 thank you so much Me and my bro will be working on this I let you know how it comes out 👍
I'd be curious to hear, good luck!
I just removed cleaned and reattached the EGR valve on my 2004 Xterra with code P0400 and found out that the back bolt bracket of the 1st bolt is at the bottom of the EGR not at the side...hope it helps somebody as is not shown in the video.
LIke other people, Thank you for a great video and for the tips about the U-nuts and the tubing. Keep doing this.
how do you remove the big nut on the EGR valve? what tool did you use?
does anyone know where the egr valve for the 2000 xterra 6 cylinder is located because it's not like this one in this video
What size socket or wrench for the big bolt?
Thank you !! Just like you i watched the video after making the mistake of dropping the back bracket,,is only solution removing the intake??
I was able to remove and replace the back bracket without doing anything to the intake.
What size wrench is the big nut?
I have a 00 4 cyl frontier that keeps throwing me the p400 code. I've replaced the egr valve n the celluloid but the code keeps coming back, HOWEVER recently since I've moved to the east coast where it's much colder, randomly the check engine light will randomly shut off for awhile, then randomly return. Having problems figuring it out I'm wondering if it's the temp sensor, dirty lines, or even the intake manifold.
Did u figure out wat is causing the code?
@@marauder3026 nope, so my guess is the temp sensor or clogged vacuum lines but I'm not mechanically inclined nor have the money to throw to fix it truck runs fine as is
I think I'm having the same exact problem you had. What was the name of the hose you replaced and where did it connect? Thank you so much, I feel closer than ever to solving my egr code issue
Man, I wish I knew the precise name of the hose part, but I'm sorry, I don't. I used a section of high heat, silicone hose from a 10' role that I ordered from Amazon because no store or dealership near me stocked the hose part I needed. If I remember right, it was only a 5"-6" section in length, and it was 5/32" (4mm) thickness. The original hose wasn't a specific mold so any after market should work fine. If you look closely at the location of the blue hose in the video, it's pretty easy to pick out where that specific hose attaches. Good luck, hope that helps?
The hose I used...............www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YZ24RGQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I’m having a similar problem on my 03 Frontier. No codes but high long term fuel trim. Spraying carb cleaner does not indicate a vacuum leak but I suspect the hose you found may be the problem. Thanks for the video
Yes I have a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder can you show me asap how to put hose back on it right if you can may God bless you
Can this information applied to a 2.4 Nissan frontier xe?
What made u replace the egr valve? Did u have a code pop up? I got the same make and model, my check engine light jus popped on code P1491?
Yes, the code specifically pointed to the EGR. All signs pointed to that being the issue. Unfortunately, I had missed the split hose prior to changing the EGR, but did end up finding it.
What tool did you you to get the big bolt off ?
How did you get the horse shoe part back in place?
Tedious Labor
what were the symptoms??
Didn't really have any that I could tell, other than the engine light coming on.
Wat code did u have?
Sorry, I don't recall the specific code as its been awhile, but the code specifically pointed to the EGR. All other signs pointed to that being the issue as well. Unfortunately, I had missed the split hose prior to changing the EGR, but did end up finding it.
Get a stick. I have no egr. 😂
I have a 3.3l manual, can I just do an egr delete? What would be the result?
