I have a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder with 113,000 miles. It also stopped while idling. I changed the spark plugs, changed the camshaft sensor both bank 1 and 2. It still turned off. Then I changed the crankshaft sensor and it seemed to fix the problem. Original sensors from Nissan is what I bought.
Scotty i need MAJOR info assistance from a Pro and your on top of my PRO list. I can't get a data link connection on my 2013 Nissan NV 3500. The vehicle cranks but don't start. I hope you see this soon
Hi Scotty I am a Technician at Nissan, the problem is with the Camshaft sensors at bank one and bank two, the oil passes through the connector and shorts them out, eventually you will get the check engine light on for those sensors… When replacing the bank one (right side cam sensor) make sure you remove the Cam and not the Crank sensor because they are close together.
@Luis, my Xterra is dying randomly and getting worse. I'm assuming it's the Cam and/or Crank sensors from what you and others share, but don't have any codes yet. Today when it died it struggled and wouldn't accelerate in drive, which is new. Have you seen that as a symptom also with those sensors going out? I've been waiting for codes so I know which one(s) to replace but may preemptively replace all three at this rate.
@@JamesValentineBaja1000 what a weird response. She is asking to come to you not asking for free help. And I'll tell you that I've seen plenty of unlicensed people work better than professionals.
@@adamgwyn85 The dealership recommended changing all three at once. I changed the one for the code I got and it worked. I will order some cheap on line parts and replace the other two. The Bank 1 sensor was expensive from Nissan dealership, $140
Found a local mechanic who is like Scotty. Tells me the truth and doesn't over-charge me. Had a problem with my transmission. With OBD II device I figured out it didn't need a new transmission. But it still might need a new computer module for around $300 plus labour. My mechanic hooked up his expensive scan tool. Did some tweaking. End result, $65 labour and the thing is fine. A good mechanic is worth his weight in gold.
Regular oil changes help the timing chain last a long time. My Xterra with a 4.0 had about 230k miles when I sold it and the timing chain made no noise at all.
I've had my 2005 Pathfinder since it was brand new (same color as this one) and it would occasionally run rough and suddenly stall out on me. I finally got an error code and it turned out to be one of the two camshaft position sensors. Other than that, it's been a good truck. They have lots of horror stories but, I've been somewhat fortunate. Fingers crossed!
i had an 07 Frontier with a similar problem, turned out it just needed new ignition coils. that was a GREAT truck! made it 300k miles without any major repairs aside from this before i wrecked it
Had a family at my old hometown I used to work for. Always a running joke that I worked for the mob, because they were Italian and they were all either chefs or mechanics! I always gave'em my money, had my vehicles last for EVER!
Ironically the only Nissan that has been reliable is the Nissan versa. It has no technology what so ever, a physical key, and an analog stereo. Mine has 425k miles and still runs like new. 2012.
I thought he was going to find the IAC valve (if present) or throttle valve was going to be gunked up, my experience with rough idles at a red light or stalling on decel usually have to do with the air intake and dirt.
My 2005 pathfinder had same thing around 150k miles 2019 had to get rid of because it was total in unrelated car accident, it lasted up to 275k miles and was still kicking. Loved that car
They can last a decent amount of time knew someone with a decently high mileage one over 250,000 miles i think the main issue he had was a alternator lol. But I ain't a big Nissan fan generally Toyota for the win if you want the best engine and best transmission. Hyundai is also decent so is mazda
No repairman is ever going to recommend the easiest/cheapest solution. That is not how businesses stay profitable. Trust no one, especially when money is involved.
Most Mechanic's find it easier to replace a motor 💵 than actually work on one. Ask any Ford owner of a 5.4 3 valve from 2004 to 2010. Many of those engine's could've been saved by updating to a better oil pump and doing a timing kit O.E. of course. The labor is extensive and it was more profitable and less hours needed to just drop another motor in.
It could also be the crank and camshaft position sensors. When they go bad the vehicle will stall and occasionally not start at all. It’s common on these and every other truck and suv that Nissan produced during this time period with the VQ40. I replaced all 3 on mine.
Yeah, it's kinda hard to charge a customer for just resetting something. The dealers probably don't want to do something that doesn't get them much money and doesn't really help get rid of old inventory, it's why they'll say they want to replace lots of things.
I had a 2003 Dodge Neon, and after 40k miles, developed a clank clank clank noise at low speed from the driver's side front wheel. Took it to a chain store mechanic who charged me for a new half shaft and install. Didn't work. Refused to give me a refund. Went to the dealer who charged me a hundred and fifty dollar diagnostic fee. They determined the bushings were shot on the control arms, so the control arms would need to be replaced. Maybe the steering box, too. Minimum $850, up to $1700. Before I committed to anything, my Dad, an electrical and mechanical engineer with thirty years in the job, with a lot of crappy used cars under his belt, insisted I bring it by so he could give me a second opinion. As he was getting the floor jack and jack stands together, I went to loosen the lug nuts. I fell flat on my face, they were so loose. The chain store mechanics who charged me for the half shaft took off the wheel during inspection for some reason, and didn't tighten the lug nuts when putting it back on, and they became looser and looser until the wheel began to clank. Neither the chain store idiots or the dealer who charged cash money for a diagnostic bothered to take off the wheel to take a look before scamming me hard. Take my vehicles to local business who have customers I trust, now. Also do a lot more of my own maintenance and repair.
I'm so sorry to hear. At least you've gained more skills and can help yourself. Your Dad is awesome. This happened to me...alot! Mechanics NOT tightened something. Never fails. 😅 all the best to you ...and anyone else reading this. ❤
My 2010 Pathfinder (146k) was shutting off whenever I came to a stop. Had the intake manifold cleaned and did the timing relearn. So far so good. I also heard that the cam sensors can be the culprit for the random shut offs.
I have a 2019 frontier and got it really used with an accident report but it was cheap and never had any issues. She’s powerful, solid, reliable I love my little Nissan ❤
My 05 Le with 300,000 + miles is running perfect. I replaced the radiator at 50,000 miles before it killed my transmission. I did the timing chain tensioner kit at 180,000 miles along with the water pump. I replaced all coil packs at 200,000miles along with the cam & cylinder heads sensor's. I also replaced the valve covers every 100,000 miles. My Pathfinder pulls like a train.
Man, this is great to hear! My wife acquired a 2011 LE before we met. It's encroaching 140k, I can tell the timing chain tensioner and its other components are going to need replacement based on symptoms. It also has the proverbial Mass A.F.S. issue and needs to be taken to the dealer for a ECM/ECU flash. Was going to handle the timing chain tensioner but if you could, please explain the radiator killing the trans issue and why replacement mitigates the problem. Thank you in advance!
@@Etownstomp09 I believe you don't have to worry about the cross contamination issue after 2011 models only on 05 through 2010 have the problem with the radiator internal oil cooler leaking oil inside of the radiator and mixing up with coolant which would eventually find its way into the transmission and cause major damage. I also believe that after 2011 models don't have the timing chain rattling issues. Just go to some pathfinder forums online for some informative help.
I love these recent videos with the fancy scan tool and hard to find problems, I’m getting into mechanics myself and these are packed full of very good information!
Hey Scotty I love you show I have a 05chev Colorado 3.5 also does after trove awhile won't start for around 30min replaced crank sensor cam sensor ?? variable cam solenoid
I bought a 2008 Hyundai Tucson that randomly died and wouldn't start. After several trips to the repair shop, they finally caught it in the act. The crankshaft position sensor was bad. It's been a year since they replaced it and no issues.
Same thing here with a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The dealer even claimed they couldn't find any codes. I pulled the codes using the ignition key and a series of off. on cycles per repair manual. Gave me a crank position sensor code. Replaced it. Was good from that point forward.
My 2008 Mercedes A-Class had the same problem. After 4 month I ingored it, I went to a shop and after 3 days they told me my ignition sometimes loses connection to the key and the car would go into "anti-theft mode" and die. Luckily I got rid of it in January this year.
GM Ecotec 2.2. Crank position sensor is behind the starter. If the starter goes out, spend $20 on the sensor since your already there. And for good measure, do the oil pressure sending unit for $16. Both are right behind the starter. I used OEM, Delco parts from the Zone.
My wife’s car did the same thing. Before I have finished the video, I’m saying throttle body. That’s what my wife’s car was. I figured it out after replacing the fuel pump, cleaning throttle body, clean MAF sensor, and changing spark plugs. My last thing was to replace the throttle body before taking to to a mechanic. And it worked! Man it felt good fixing it myself!
@@aesa3628 I was just happy I could fix it without getting it towed and spending 2 weeks and $1k in a shop. I ended up spending about $150. And I could’ve spent less than $70 if I would have just started with the throttle body.
It's an intermittent cam sensor. Probably the one on the driverside. A replacement at the local auto parts store is $10. Ten-minute repair. That 4.0 engine is a tank if you know how to repair little things. Mine has over 212k miles and still gets 19-20 miles a gallon. I often pull a small utility trailer with mine all the time, and no oil leaks.
100% agree. Seen it before as well, sometimes the cam sensors just stop working (i think when they get too hot or something, tbh no clue) but when it happens it pretty much never sets a code. It's really hard to duplicate as a tech, but 2 new cam sensors and it almost never happens again. The rest is near bulletproof with proper service and care.
You should replace both camshaft position sensors and the crankshaft sensor at the same time. If you can replace one in ten minutes and find one for ten dollars you are a magician.
How's yours holding up if you still own it? I've had a 2012 since brand new with 221k miles on it now. Doesnt burn or leak oil / coolant, trans shifts smooth, and fires up first try every time.
VQ40DE engines tend to idle reallllllly low and vibrate. I bumped it up 100 rpm now it idles with a smooth purr. I LOVE this engine. I have a 2015 pro4x xterra with a 6 speed manual trans!
There is a TSB out there regarding Nissans turning off while idling. Apparently, some of the ECMs were replaced believing it was heat that caused an intermittent issue. This did not apply to every Nissan, but some Versas, Altima and Maximas were affected. Some dealerships replaced the ECM under warranty and others performed lesser repairs.
My fiance just traded in 2016 Rogue 60,000 miles. Vibrated at idle like crazy, windshield wiper selector switch kept blowing fuses. Wasn't covered under warranty. They wanted to charge her $700 for the part plus labor. The dealer treated her like crap! Long story....She said no way! Drove it down the street to the Honda dealership and traded it for a 2018 Honda CRV and couldn't be happier!
Bad from worst CR-V no better think got the Nissan Security + Plus warranty she would had been fine some of those 2016 Rogues are junk, know somebody has one the CVT is piece of crap. I have a 2015 Rogue still working good not sure what happened in 2016.
@@bigpriv3762 well you get a 2022 Pathfinder it doesn't have a CVT thank God 🙏. That's going my next car wish they throw away the CVTS though they don't bother me.
@@ramoncarter6585 I don't know to much about the Pathfinders. I wouldn't buy any Nissan with the way my fiance was treated at the dealership. Plus their cars are just junk. Nissan trucks are ok. I wanted her to get a RAV4 but she wanted Honda lol! Oh well!
Many of them can run a detailed analysis. But if there's not enough money to be made from doing it, they won't. Honesty is one of those things you either have or you don't. It's not something you can teach. Well, actually you can teach it, but it only works if the individual will practice what they have learned.
I had a similar issue. Truck wouldn't start, but there was no shaking. It was a cam shaft positioning sensor. Happened to me at around 170,000 miles. Other than that, my 2012 Pathfinder has been GREAT. 187,000 miles and he still runs like brand new. Wish they still made the body on frame Pathfinder. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Love the size and that VQ40DE engine.
My 04 nissan armada 5.6l has been very reliable so i kept it cause it still runs good. My 08 toyota tundra 5.7l is a very good truck very reliable to. Only reason why I haven't bought anything new is cause they run good and haven't had any issues. I'm not to fond of the newer vehicles cause they just don't seem as reliable.
That sounds quite similar to the 2005 Altima (2.5 cyl) my wife had - intermittent weird idle and would occasionally die in off throttle situations. Turned out it was a single bad injector - after replacing that we never had another issue with the car.
There’s a TSB regarding engines dying. It is suspected that it’s the ECM will overheat and cause this problem. Its not consistent enough to initiate a full recall throughout the Nissan vehicle fleet. Typically, after the engine cools down as well as the ECM, then the car runs like normal again.
Wow. Same thing happened to me. They could not figure out, after 3 attempts and bunch of free work, they figure out the issue. I say free work because they refunded all the first 2 services and part as the issue was not fixed
Another thing to look out for with grinding sensation when driving is the driveshaft support bearing if its a two piece driveshaft. They're usually bolted to the frame and when they start to go, you definitely feel it.
My xterra did that.Randomly shut off at idle or after heat built up. Nissan revised the crank sensor with a metal shielding and made it cylindrical. Changed the cam and crank sensors problem gone. Had no CEL.
These older, mid-2000's to early-2010's Nissan Pathfinder's are still in great shape with the 4 L V6 engine and the five-speed automatic transmission. They handle a lot better and they are not as boring as the late-2000's Toyota Camry with the four-cylinder.
@@md2k8 hahahahahha they are junk since the 2012’s stopped production. I had Nissans, the last two 2016 Maxima, 2016 Murano. Junk. We have 4Runners now 2020, 2021. No more Nissans for this family.
For the 4.0L VQ engines, you’ll know the timing chain is ready to go when you start to hear a whining sound almost like the sounds of a supercharger. I had a similar issue with my 2019 frontier where is was a little shaky at idle. Raised the idling rpm from 675 to 750 and the problem was fixed.
He had the same Nissan Pathfinder and we found that one of the Throttle Position Sensors was bad. So I just changed both Throttle position sensors and it fixed the problem.
Alot of nissans I've worked on and infinite's had the same issue. Problem was the throttle body was dirty! The metered amount of air that was needed for idle was clogged. It would run rough or die. Also no codes for it. So clean your throttle body with a rag and some brake clean. Probably will fix it!😎
Hey scotty i just picked up a 350z 2006 soft top but it has lots of issues i only have one code p0463 and thats it but the cars problems are Cluster doesn’t work does not show check engine light or any light thats yellow AC controls don’t work doesn’t show what gear I am in when the wipers don’t work stuck in limp mode no power Sunroof/soft top does not go down or up passenger window doesn’t move that’s about it
i have a 2006 pathfinder with over 200k while on a trip vehicle stalled very hard to start but did get it running but very rough ( nothing seemed to be working correctly ) got home took it to my local mechanic was diagnosed cam position sensor & replaced both sides. problem solved ran like a dream....
Nissan engines are usually built very well. This one maybe not? Check for water in the gas. I owned many Pathfinders, Frontiers and others, never an issue.
One of my family members has an 05 Nissan Frontier and they’ve never had a problem with it it’s got 170k and it runs really good she’s an older woman and she took really good care of it she’s never once pushed it hard she’s really gentle with it treats it like a princess
Hey Scotty, my 2012 Frontier Pro4X did the same thing, just randomly die. Turns out it was the camshaft position sensor. Changed it out and haven't had a problem since.
Just a heads up, those pathfinders had a defect in the radiator where it would crack and allow radiator coolant to contaminate the transmission fluid. Once the transmission was contaminated the car would shake a lot. The car would still be drivable for a while until the transmission completely fails. Until then the car will feel like it wants to stall at times, and you will notice abnormal shaking. Check your radiator and transmission fluid for signs of contamination. I think it was only certain years that were affected, so you would have to check google to see if the one you have might have the defective radiator.
Not a defect just a horrible design to separate the coolant and tranny oil in the radiator by a gasket first thing I did was plug the trans cooler in the radiator and install a remote trans cooler it will wreck your tranny if that gasket goes
A lot of mechanical shops in Australia say they can’t fix a car because they charge around 130 dollars an hour ,lol, had a Ford Focus, needed engine mounts, 2004 model, 4 cylinder, anyway took it to Ford stealer ship , lol , it was 1,500 , to supply and replace engine mounts,, more than the car was worth,,did them myself, pulled them off cleaned them bought a tube of polyurethane and filled them up with that , racing engine mounts now , cost 35 dollars and my labor,,
Actually you do have to worry about a flood. I bought a brand new car from a dealer and found out it was flooded and they cleaned it up and sold it to me and didn't tell me. If the damage is under 10% of the value of the car they don't have to disclose it
You won't. They had perfected this engine by around 2010 to 11. Change the oil every 5 to 6k with full syn and clean the intake system with seafoam (the spray can type) every 50k or so. That engine will run forever. I have a 4.0 in my Frontier with 220k on it. They are a solid engine if maintained.
This is known as the 4.0 shimmy. Got a 2010 pathfinder in 2015 with 40k miles. Have noticed the shimmy since 2016. Now has 210k and still has the shimmy. You can watch the tach when you come to a stop as it drops below 700 to 500, that's when the shimmy hits, then the rpms go back to around 700, and the vibration smooth out some.
The V6 VQ has a hit or miss reputation, but the V8 VK is absolutely phenomenal for reliability and provides more than enough power. I routinely tow 11,000 lb with my 2013 Armada. Literally have almost 100,000 towing miles on it. Full synthetic oil, of course, and I straight piped it. My Nissan has never given me any problems except the dual climate control stopped working so the driver side can only blow cold.
@@naveenthemachine Altima / Maxima VQs are more 'reliable' because the machine they power has less inertia than the Pathfinder, so there's less strain on the engine
@@SvenQ45 I put the basic $80 Firestone Ride-Rite airbags in the rear coils, and no fancy compressor, I pump them up with a bike pump, yes indeed. Obviously my dump trailer has brakes on all hubs. And I don't go over 55 mph if I'm fully loaded.
My 2008 G35 does the same thing, and only when warm. the dealer saw a spike in the exhaust valve timing and said the magnetic timing retarder has gone bad, and it will cost a lot to fix. usually happens when coming to a stop in a parking lot, and only about 1 time every 1-2 months. The MAF and TB were cleaned and new plugs are in.
I had a similar problem with a 2001 V6 Dodge Dakota. My problem turned out to be a questionable battery. The truck would start just fine. The problem would show up intermittently when slowing or stopping for a red light. Mechanics couldn't find anything wrong. I had a 6-year-old, original battery. The problem was solved when I replaced the battery. Who would have thought?
Mr. Kilmer I am a loyal watcher I have a question. My Nissan engine is driving me crazy It doesn’t leak oil the check engine light is on but the smoke oh my goodness the smoke if the vehicle,e pitches forward smoke if you turn smoke oh by the way it’s a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder
After Nissan merged with Renault they turned to trash. If you're going to buy Japanese buy Toyota or Honda. I had a 2006 Nissan Xterra and just finished paying it off and around 75K miles I started to feel the transmission shudder slightly. I go online and first thing that pops up is class action lawsuit. I look in my transmission fluid and low and behold there's radiator fluid floating at the top. Nissan screwed over everyone with a 2005-2010 xterra, pathfinder, and frontier. Cheap design caused the radiator coolant to leak into the transmission fluid and destroy the transmission. They settled (what should have been criminal) the class action lawsuit that still screwed over every owner. The terms still had the owners paying a 2K "deductible" to have the tranny fixed. I then bought a 2016 Jeep in haste and had transmission problems with it as well (at 35k miles). Scotty's and many others videos and reviews convinced me to bite the bullet and just pay the $50K for a 2021 toyota 4runner. Dealership stands behind toyota so much they offered LIFETIME warranty on the engine and transmission.
I had an Altima with that problem, but it still ran great. I know somebody with a Pathfinder that had that problem, and also low oil pressure. Oil pump is part of the timing chain assembly. So is the water pump. Expensive to repair.
From experience, this can lead to much more problems than you initially started with. I had to get a mechanic to use their scanner to reset. Tried a million times to do a relearn on my own with zero success.
I am a mechanic. For over 20 years. Overtime debris builds up around the throttle plates and allows less air to flow through when the plates are cracked open. The computer learns overtime to compensate for the build up. Ideally use a product like BG and inject it into the throttle plates and also cleans the intake runners. Now that all the junk is cleaned out the computer can relearn the way it was originally. I do use a scan tool for this
Cam position sensor. Happened on both sides on my 4.0 with less than 100k miles. Dealer tried to sell me on new chains which was not the issue. On both sensor failures it took a long time before the code was thrown.
Drive a 2008 Pathfinder LE V8 4 x 4. Tasteful mods such as a Volant CIA, Bullydog tuner, and airbags in the back. It's retro boxy design is back in fashion 😎 Driving it is pure enjoyment👍Yes, its tech is woefully outdated. All is forgiven though by it's nibble driving manner and the buttery smoothness of the 5.6 V8 😊
My 2012 Pathfinder has done this since I got it with 20K miles. Its never stalled out, just drops RPMs at idle. Had it in the shop under warranty twice where they said they did some update but at 165K miles later it still does it.
Sometimes when you hook up scanner to the obd2 it won't shut off at all. It happened to me before. I kept the car for one to drive around to see if it happened while drive. I removed the scanner and started driving after I drove about 20 minutes it started shaking to shut off. When I pushed the gas car shut off but if let off from gas it shakes and picked up from there.
Scotty Love the help, just brought 2019 Rogue to Dealership, I've had a lifter knock since new 14 km,now has 16,000 kms, reported it to Dealership 3 times, yesterday they told me that its the lifters tap till oil gets to the top, last 3 secs, then goes away. They said no bulletins have been issued for this issue, although if you turn the key on without starting it, then start it no knock, so the NISSAN engineers could reprogram software, I was wondering if they ever found the CEO. Great Job Scotty
That idle thing towards it slowing down is kinda normal especially with a worn timing chain tension I have a 06 pathfinder LE and it clatters like crazy at start up but settles after a min or son and it has 168k miles and has had timing chain problems since 90k miles and it really doesn’t affect much other than a vibration when idling after a long time
My jeep grand cherokee with the 5.7 does the same thing but I smell gas when it dies. Always when coming to stop, shakes and dies. Replaced VCG and it was line for a few days. But the problem came back. Most of the time it happens when braking hard when coming to stop. Every machanic that has seen it just says its a bad ground wire since its a jeep.
Hey Scotty just turned 18 and looking to buy a new/used car been a huge fan of the Nissan z370 what’s your general thoughts on them, like how reliable are they are parts cheap how easy is it to MOD stuff like that
He will say they are nice when they're low mileage, but once over 100k they're no bueno. Imo find a nice 6 sp with lower mileage and you should be ok. Don't rag on it though lol.

@steve FACTS! So true
This one was really interesting. I liked seeing the process of actually checking layer by layer where the issue might be.
Trouble shooting
Oh scotty you're such a breath of fresh air!
Exactly 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Was good from that point forward.
intermittent issues are hard to diagnose!
My 2008 Mercedes A-Class had the same problem. After 4 month I ingored it, I went to a shop and after 3 days they told me my ignition sometimes loses connection to the key and the car would go into "anti-theft mode" and die.
Luckily I got rid of it in January this year.

My wife’s car did the same thing. Before I have finished the video, I’m saying throttle body. That’s what my wife’s car was.

do throttle bodies go bad when cheap gas is used? kroger gas, sam's club gas?
@@cutehumor it do not bro. All gas is about same .unless you let your tank goes to empty and old trash gasoline goes inside the engine.

That sounds quite similar to the 2005 Altima (2.5 cyl) my wife had - intermittent weird idle and would occasionally die in off throttle situations. Turned out it was a single bad injector - after replacing that we never had another issue with the car.
Hmmmm think you’d get this in the V6 Altima’s???
There’s a TSB regarding engines dying. It is suspected that it’s the ECM will overheat and cause this problem. Its not consistent enough to initiate a full recall throughout the Nissan vehicle fleet. Typically, after the engine cools down as well as the ECM, then the car runs like normal again.
I've heard multiple times that Altimas die like this and then won't restart....

I had an Altima with that problem, but it still ran great. I know somebody with a Pathfinder that had that problem, and also low oil pressure. Oil pump is part of the timing chain assembly. So is the water pump. Expensive to repair.

Hey Scotty. How about giving The throttle plates a cleaning first then doing a relearn?

Cam sensors replaced at 100000 miles new design is less plastic but costs more. 01/24 fixed date.
Thank you for teaching us for just our time.
I've heard of Nissans that die at idle. I haven't experienced that yet with my 2014 Xterra but there is a vibration when I come to a stop.
Mine stopped vibrating when I changed the cam sensors.
I’m like at 550-600 rpm at stops and start vibrating.
I have 2018 maxima and mine runs bad and died once but only in the cold.

My Nissan Pathfinder lasted for years and years and years, and I loaned it to friends and family, and the guy I sold it to is still driving it.
They have engine problem because the cars are designed by the accounting department. The engineers just follow orders
My 2012 Pathfinder has done this since I got it with 20K miles. Its never stalled out, just drops RPMs at idle. Had it in the shop under warranty twice where they said they did some update but at 165K miles later it still does it.
Hey Scotty how was your trip to Rhode Island?
My Mazda mvp jerk when I change gears, automatic. Mainly to reverse
Imagine my mechanic trying to figure out an issue like this one; I can't.
🤣🤣🤣i feel the same way. Forget about it.
The old CEO is hanging out in Lebanon his home country
@@chrisito245 You are so spot on. That's should tell us everything about Nissan.
VQ40 engines had a problem with the plastic timing chain guide and they'd need to be replaced with a metal guide. They had recall open for this issue
That idle thing towards it slowing down is kinda normal especially with a worn timing chain tension
I have a 06 pathfinder LE and it clatters like crazy at start up but settles after a min or son and it has 168k miles and has had timing chain problems since 90k miles and it really doesn’t affect much other than a vibration when idling after a long time
Scotty! I bet they cleaned the throttle body and didn't reset it. Vq motors are sensitive to this! Worth the check next time
Parabéns Scotty pelos 68 anos de idade! Felicidades e tudo de bom! Abraços do Brasil! Frederico
Hey Scotty just turned 18 and looking to buy a new/used car been a huge fan of the Nissan z370 what’s your general thoughts on them, like how reliable are they are parts cheap how easy is it to MOD stuff like that
Why are you asking Scotty? He’ll recommended a Lexus or Toyota only
He will say they are nice when they're low mileage, but once over 100k they're no bueno. Imo find a nice 6 sp with lower mileage and you should be ok. Don't rag on it though lol.
Worked at Nissan as a tech. The manuals are great fun. Change the oil and stay on top of maintenance, they last.
Lots of mods available,.
18 and looking at a z370, your insurance should be around the $5,000 mark!
