He was a lovely man and shame we never got to say goodbye. :-( He isnt forgotton and stay in touch and spend time with aunty when she flys out to see us in new zealand.

Thinking about the real victims of stalking...one can't help but wonder how hard it must be for them. This is touching especially because it's based on a true story. Actually real people went through all of that, but I'm glad that in the end it was solved.

I know what you mean! I have had it happen years ago also and it's so entertaining , well no it's not because I still, every time I see a blonde woman I think back to it and then the ptsd takes over 🤗I guess it will be somewhat healing to tell the whole world what happened 🤣
I had a miscarriage which did take me a little time to get over actually a long time I don't know why I said that anyway as I left the hospital and drove up to my little house on Wheels, my husband was at work at the time and I went to open the door and there was a padlock on the outside and I was very confused to say the least and escalated to angry just simply because I heard my music playing and I never leave it on so ooo

Good Movie! Some people are seriously disturbed/down right crazy and scary. I can't believe the Debbie character had to deal with all of that only to have the man do her so wrong, too. That man's a real narcissist for sure. They will even and lie and make up ways to justify their horrid behaviors. Known a couple of them in my days, sad to say. They really don't care who they hurt or even destroy as long as they get what they want. Thanks for sharing!

I worked with Maria Marchase on the cheese counter at Selfridges for a few years. I liked her. She was quirky but funny. Always well presented and poised. Accents vary depending on when (at what age) the person learned to speak the language; also if the learner does not have a "good ear" for language he or she will have a heavier accent; besides the fact that not all Spanish speakers sound the same in Spanish. It depends on the country of origin. That has been my experience.

    1) Hopefully it raises awareness of stalking and helps stalking victims get taken more seriously.
    2) He's a cold-hearted prick for telling a woman who is close to being murdered that she is weak & betraying her while they are supposed to be getting married. He didn't deserve what Maria Marchese did to him, but what a bastard.

Well well Jan was a piece of work, he didn't want to talk to Debbie when she was getting all the crap dumped on her because he said she seemed weak but when he became the victim he certainly didn't waste any time crying and complaining to his new lover about all of it. It's quite funny how people perceive someone until the same thing happens to them. Jan was the weak one turning to another woman because he didn't want to deal with Debbie's so called weakness when she was going through all this because of him. As Debbie said: be careful what you wish for. Jan and his new wife deserve one another, there both a cheating SOB.

Facts about this movie 1. Not all man who will promise to marry you, will really do it. 2. Cheaters are the evil one 3. The stalker is brilliant. 4. You'll know if your partner is faithful when both of you encountered terrible situation. Over all I salute that woman, a very strong woman despite having lot of death threats and worst his soon to be husband cheat on him on the day he needs him most. Thanks to Maria for showing David true color.

Seriously? That stalker woman is bat shit crazy and ruined three lives...not to mention almost sending 'the evil cheater' to prison for a crime he did not commit. Crazy stalker lady came into their lives and messed with them long before he cheated...nobody can predict how one will act in whacked out situations like that...not to mention not everybody thinks cheating is reason to end a relationship. Being harassed 24/7 and being sent to prison for something you didn't even do is NOT ok just because this guy cheated on his girlfriend. This movie is based on a true story, you should read more about the extent of crazy this woman put this couple through; she's totally nuts and has done this to multiple people.

      @e.d.e.8137 8 лет назад +3

      Hedgehog's Right of Passage
Technically/legally speaking, no, it is not. However, honestly, it depends on the couple. Some people have open relationships and don't care about that stuff...other people who commit to monogamy do care. You need to make your wishes and expectations known to your partner *before* getting married so hopefully you avoid these types of situations.

As much as you wanted to despise Maria, you have to admit that she did one heck of an acting job in this one.
And as far as the doctor is concerned, his girlfriend certainly didn't deserve this: "Because I slept with an airhead tart who didn't love me enough to go on the pill." My jaw dropped and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. First of all, the pill is NOT without side effects and a condom would be the healthier option. I wouldn't blame a woman for that at all.

How many men are punished because of injustice by someone of the opposite sex just because it is assumed that the man is the criminal just for being the man? This happened in my case, where my now ex-wife had me arrested for domestic violence and because I am the man, I am the one in the wrong. Later when I was being interviewed I was asked if I wanted to prosecute my wife, based on the evidence, for assault but I declined and accepted a caution. Little did I know that this caution would appear on the National Police Computer of UK until I am one hundred years old. This now stops me from getting a resident permit to live abroad with my new wife who is a national of that country, it stops me from working with elderly people, it stops me from working in schools with children. I have appealed against the decision through ACRO, I have written to two MPs, one of who passed on my letter to Home Secretary Pritti Pittel and whose administration just referred me back to ACRO. I have contacted the Chief Constable of Lincolnshire Police in whose jurisdiction the misfortune took place, I have contacted the Police Commission Office and an organisation that deals with people's data being held inappropriately and who said that my name was being held on the NPC for a disproportionate length of time. I was a teacher by profession and have worked abroad for many years and still I want to help people in Africa who need new knowledge about sustainable development relating to agriculture but all this is made impossible because of what I feel is an injustice where the woman's testament is believed over the mine....so about the film: I was happy to see that justice was done...but sad that the woman did something like that for some unknown reason and hope she would receive help and support in prison or later.

Dumps his fiancée because she wasn't 'tough enough' or whatever to ignore constant death threats. Has an affair and runs off. And then has the gall to stew and fret about his reputation: "For the rest of my life, people will think I'm a rapist."
I would just like to find him on facebook or something and let him know there's no worries. Nobody thinks he's a rapist. But we all know he's a complete A-hole! Would any patient suffering from mental and emotional issues really get good treatment from a bastard that treats a person the way he did? And at such a terrible time, going through such terrifying and constant stalking.

Stalkers are usually people who are unemployed or have a lot of spare time on their hands. I went through it with the son of a couple who lived in my apartment building. Lucky me - he had a key to the front door. He would threaten to kill me at my apartment door at 3:00 a.m. and shove notes through my letter box. It went on for six months. I lived in constant fear, couldn't go anywhere without him following me, harassing me with phone calls at work and even calling the police to tell them that I had killed someone in his garage. He followed me to a restaurant a friend of mine took me to and then followed him home. He then called me at work the next day and told me that he had killed my friend. He was an unemployed mental case who was funded by his parents, who were also terrified of him. He was adopted and had caused them a lot of trouble. He had a record for stalking and harassing many women something the police would have known if they had bothered to check. Instead the first police officer my boss called wrote in his report that I was crazy and had made the entire thing up. In the end I waited for this guy in front of my apartment building and we fought it out. I let him hit me so that I had something to report to the police. He was caught after a week of hiding out and thrown in jail. I'm wondering how this woman who didn't seem to have a computer in her apartment was able to have her calls skip around and be untraceable. She didn't seem to be friends with anyone who could have done this for her. Were her phone records even checked?

She got out in 2013 and she sounded exactly like the woman on here. I know this is an actress, but she must be emulating the real Maria, so it made me think it was her.
