You had me when your sonorous voice uttered, "None of that ashiness." You're doing the Lord's work. Also, if your skin is your business card business better be booming. You're skin looks fabulous and thank you for the information!
For those who are seeing this in 2022 like myself, I'm here to tell my fellow brown girls that the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer w/ SPF 50 is THE BUSINESS. I'm so glad I saw this video and took a chance on that option because it really does absorb clearly and does not leave me feeling/looking like an oil slick. It has that initial tackiness of any moisturizer as it's settling in, but nothing outrageous. This is my new go-to and even at $19ish, still well under the $40 I'd have to pay for the bigger brands.
Ive been using it for three years and never looked back, it dries down nicely and leaves a beautiful glow (not grease) with no cast at all. I hope they never discontinue this.
Wow, the Walgreens Zinc Sunscreen actually shocked me. I thought it'll remain ashy but it actually absorbed. I'll have to try it. Thanks for this video.
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been looking for affordable mineral sunscreens for brown skin and I can not believe the prices on brands recommended by so many influencers and websites. For something that you are supposed to continuously use everyday… forever… how on earth can I afford to keep up??! I really appreciate you. Thank you.
Omg im sorry that sucks, I was thinking about buying Neutrogena because my Korean sunscreen rounds to $31 (shipping included) and I don't want to drain my back account all the time:,) at this point I just wanna go to a drugstore and grab a non-whitecase sunscreen😭 but may I ask, do you have oily or dry skin and did you use the spf 25 face version or the body version?
This Doctor Deserve 100, 000 plus Subs too ! Finally A Straight to the point video ! No rambling No extras No Ads Just NICE / Informative.. Thanks for the Education on Sunscreen / the Authenticity 👍🏽
Thank you so much for not just showing affordable options, for something we would need to buy repeatedly, but for the demonstration. Know which I will buy, now.
Hi sweetie, this was such a wonderful video, for the gorgeous black sisters who are looking for "AFFORDABLE" sunscreens. I love the fact that you took the time to explain how important it is skin health wise , than to just jump into suncreens options , thanks a million. The last 3 tends to always be way too strong for me the nuetrogena brands , but I,m going to try the one in the black tube , can't recall the name......lol........GREAT VIDEO.....well done to perfection 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for the information it was very informative. I actually never use sunscreen because I am dark-skinned and didn't realize I needed it. I actually love the Neutrogena especially the one you use for your face
Great info! The Black Girl magic and Neutrogena was not a hit for me and irritant my face a lot. I think the mineral works best at this point. I am using Cerave and okay so far. I thank u for the Korean info and Walgreens samples and will check out.
Your video was very helpful. I have been looking for the best AFFORDABLE mineral sunscreen for a week now and it’s been stressful. I am glad I found your video because I just made an amazon order for the Australian Gold! Super excited ☺️ Thank you!
Guys, I'm from Italy. A black friend of mine doesn't use SPF 'cause she can't find an SPF without a white, gray, or blue cast for body and face. So if anybody has suggestions, please write them down below. Here I can find easily La Roche Posay, Uriage, Nivea, or Rilastil.
I have very sensitive eye and most sunscreens irritate my eyes. So I have been using a zinc sunscreen which makes me looks like Casper the friendly ghost. Can you do a a review on sunscreens that are good, but won’t irritate the eyes. Thank you.
Good video. I don't wear sunscreen, I will try a few if these. I burn so easy, I get three shades darker in minutes. It's caused face discoloration, makes me look tired and aged. I need more moisturizing too. Florida sun is no joke.
Love the Apieu and Netrogena lines. But since my eyes are getting too sensitive, I'm opting for a mineral sunscreen, so from your video - I'll be trying the Australian Gold. Hope it don't look like I have on too much makeup with the tint. lol
I'm was so glad that I ran across your video... been looking for a long time in the market on which sunscreen to purchase for my girls and I.... and now I can say you made it so much easier and now affordable for my pockets thanks Advance 🤗🙌🏽🤩😍.... p.s.... born and raised in the 305 til this day🙂
When you said, "Nobody wants a sunscreen that's gonna make them look like Thanos.." I died!!! I need a mineral sunscreen or at the least a hybrid formula to avoid an allergic reaction. Thanks for this video!
What a great presentation. Thank you Dr Pennicott. Easy to follow and to the point. I really liked the Black Girl sunscreen although I wish there was a mineral option. I also liked the Neutrogena Hydro Boost City Shield for face, and the Hydro Boost SPF 50. I'm going to try them all.
Great question, SPF means sun protection factor. SPF 30 blocks 96.7% UVB rays vs spf 50 that blocks 98% so as you can see the protection level is very similar. So go with the brand you like. I tend to use SPF 50 if I know I'll be at the beach or park with lots of sun exposure. Most important is to reapply sunscreen every 80 min or the interval recommended on the bottle instructions.
Thanks I live in Poland and finding products suitable for black is very hard .I found surprisingly the Australian one in my shade I can't thank you enough I never wore spf because of the white cast i can also find easily the neutrogena blue i would have never thought of looking into neutrogena..last time i was told by a professional they told me to buy anthelios and i literallyleft the brow shop looking like casper ! I thought like Never again ! thanks so much for this fantastic video it was very helpful
I have a quick question which one do I use for dark marks on face from accident. A doctor told me to get fpf 30 above do you know what is that and how does it look? Please respond back to me
What’s your opinion on activated ingredients percentages in sunscreen? Does is really matter? I tried the Walgreens ”baby” mineral sunscreen and it’s amazing but only has 3.1% titanium dioxide and 4.0% zinc oxide.
3:54 13$ Australian Gold - Botanical 50 (3 shades)
6:30 4$ Walgreen - Clear Zinc 50
8:05 15,99$ Blackgirl Sunscreen 30

Neutrogena tend to break my skin out, I'm gonna try the Korean sunscreen.
Because that works well for dry skin amd normal skin but not for oily skin

I have white skin and I don't like how the white cast settles into lines and rubs off on my clothes. I found this vlog helpful, thank you!
Thank you for the information it was very informative. I actually never use sunscreen because I am dark-skinned and didn't realize I needed it. I actually love the Neutrogena especially the one you use for your face
Honestly the Neutrogena sunscreen would work even better if it had no fragrance.
That Neutrogena Hydroboost is bae!
So glad you focused on drugstore brands! Thank you for the informative video!
Will be buying the Walgreens one. Thank you!!
I’m going to purchase the Neutrogena Hydro Boost City Shield. Thanks for this video!
That’s my favorite sunscreen, especially for my sensitive skin!
I use the Black Girl sunscreen, it absorbs completely without the ghostly look. I will be trying the Korean sunscreen.
Glad to hear it!
Thank you for giving us more options for sunscreens for Darker Skintones that’s also affordable. This video is so helpful and needed.
Great info! The Black Girl magic and Neutrogena was not a hit for me and irritant my face a lot. I think the mineral works best at this point. I am using Cerave and okay so far. I thank u for the Korean info and Walgreens samples and will check out.

Hi, I heard the Neutrogena Hydro boost has alcohol and fragrance. Throughout the time you have been using it, have you felt your face get super dry?
@@alanisarroyo3109 No, it’s actually very hydrating to me. My skin is also very oily.
You are beautiful. Your skin is radiant. Thanks for the tips.

I NEED a sunscreen that is NO WHITE CAST, MATTE FINISH, SPF50 AND IDEALLY UNDER £15.00

Extremely helpfull 👌🏾
Many thanks Dr. Pennicott 👍🏾!!!

Thank you! Hopefully BGS will be coming out with a mineral option soon.
I quite like the BGS kids, around $10 for 3 ounces.
which of these are good for oily acne prone skin?
Our faces tend to be darker than our hands anyway
Thank you for the reviews
What spf # do u recommend? Does it depend on how dark your skin is? For reference my foundation shade is 322 warm honey FIT me! by Maybelline
30 spc is fine but if you find a higher one that you are happy with then go for it!

Mineral sunscreen -
thank you so much for this video i just bought the korean sunscreen
I always get darker and sunburned with an orange burnt after. Which won’t make me darker or burned if I’m dark skin tone ?
I will try the Walgreens zinc sunscreen.. does it work well on oily skin ?
Love this video!! I have 1 question about the tinted sunscreen. Will the tint rub off on my face mask? Or get on my clothes?
When it is fully rubbed in, I haven't noticed an issue with it rubbing off on my clothes/mask. But that also can depend on how much is applied.
Great review!
I have a quick question which one do I use for dark marks on face from accident. A doctor told me to get fpf 30 above do you know what is that and how does it look? Please respond back to me
Which one is good for oily skin?
Oh for ashiness
Which one is good to use for all day
Which is good for both men and females pls?
I think that black bottle sunscreen rubbed in the best it looked look lotion tbh
