- In a world with one bad remake, after bad sequel, after bad reboot, can Tim Burton and Michael Keaton do the (mostly) impossible??
Come along as we figure out just how bad...or good...this undead monster is.
Be warned! We have avoided all major spoilers, but some smaller ones are still hanging around.
Beetlejuice 2 & GoTG 2 shares the same merits of overcrowded yet has aesthetics we love. Difference are Beetlejuice 2 doesn't have emotional weight needed to be. Specifically, Astrid, Lydia & Richard storyline I'm like "Let me cry & cherry that scene, Burton"
Also, I can't help other plotlines felt disconnected from 1 another. In way they're resolutions are too isolated despite nothing bad about it while GoTG2 has 5 storylines came into fruition.
I felt like the subplots were just to get the characters where they needed to be for the main plotline, which is Beetlejuice/Lydia. I would have preferred the movie solely focused on Lydia's relationship with her daughter and Astrid teaching her the lessons she had to learn. Which they did, in a very limited way.
The third part should have Eugene Levy as a ghost lawyer for Delia and
Charles while a paranormal investigator like Jeff Goldblum along with
a psychic partner Johnny Depp could get rid of Beetlejuice.
Or Jeff Goldblum and Johnny Depp are competitors trying to one up each other in an attempt to get their show picked up over the other's. I would love to see a 3rd film
Loved the review, def gonna see it!
Yesss king 🤴 🙌 🤣🤣
Nice video, I think Michael Keaton would like people to start knowing him by his real name, Michael Douglas. But I could be wrong.
Thats unfortunate for him considering there's literally already a guy who is very well known as Michael Douglas in the same industry (Kirk Douglas' son, I think he was in Fatal Attraction). Kind of a peril of the trade. But good to know! How do we differentiate the two Michael Douglases? I'd like to respect MKD's wishes for sure
Thanks, and you are correct. I wish I had considered that
I loved this movie. ❤❤❤❤
I am glad I watched this video because I wasnt going to see it because I was afraid it went all PC and woman empowerment like every other new movie.
I certainly didn't think so. It's just good old-fashioned fun.
George Lucas did Not Respect his Previous “Work”.
Not a prequel fan i take it? 😂
@@iWannabe the 1997, 2004 & 2011 “Special Editions.”
Ahhh...yeah. I've never been bothered so much that he made the changes, but that there's no way to watch them in their original form. Unless you're brave enough to try your VHS copy in a questionable vhs player 😬 I lost my cassette of the original soundtrack for ANH to that
@@iWannabe you need to get a old, heavy, metal top with vents, Made In Japan 🇯🇵 VCR those are the Best HQ VCRs!! LaserDisc 💿 is also another Great Option!!!
"Well that's just lazy writing"
Al and Miles work well together they also did Smallville
Boy, i sure miss Smallville 😞 And yeah, they're a good team.
@iWannabe have you watched talkville Tom and Michael recap every episode next episode they are reviewing is lexmass when lex wakes up married to Lana
I think I made it all the way through their 1st season episodes. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for reminding me though. I should go back and listen to more
It's so trendy to knock Jeffrey Jones.
It's not a trend. He's a pedophile, and also, fuck him.

The Cake lip sync and children's choir singing Day-O were both unnecessary moments and indicated that Tim Burton literally forgot his own lore. Considering hes admitted he didnt wach the first movie before developing the second...maybe he should have to be honest.
Connecting Day-O to the Deetzes is not in keeping with the mythos bc...the Deetzes were NOT the Harry Belafonte fans.
Making people lip sync to music is...also a thing the Maitlands did, not Betelguy.
I just wish hed kept track of his own lore idk idk idk idk
I wonder if any of them use band lab
I think the lip synch was obligatory. It almost feels like a studio thing that had to be included so it could be in the trailer.
I read the use of DayO as an indication that the Deetzes truly came to terms with the situation and further showed the growth between Lydia and Delia
@@iWannabe (Abt the Day-O moment at the funeral) oh word! That's rly sweet actually, I can totally accept that reasoning. I liked the movie a lot other than those two things
Well that was boring. You take to long to get to the F'n point. And leave the comedy to the professionals. Thumbs down.
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. I don't really remember making many jokes though. But, hey, I appreciate you giving it a shot
