A Flying Dog variety pack got me into craft beer years ago. Snake Dog and Doggy Style were two of the beers in it along with several others.

For £2.15 you can get a big bittle of victoria Malaga in lidl. 1.79 for that size bottle doesn't seem that much of a bargain..

I bought the last bottle at my local and it was great. Good recommendation.

Funny story there about cutting and burning the tree. Beer, is there anything it can't do?😂

I tried this for the first time a couple of days ago and agree completely about the flavour and value. Back to Lidl!

Tree stumps I ended up hiring a caterpillar digger as had three large ones to remove and even then it’s not easy so well done for your perseverance and beer deserved 🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️ I hated cutting them down but it was for an outbuilding music studio building area 🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️

I sympathise with your blister. I have one twice the size from digging out bamboo. But afterwards I had what I like to call an Andy Dufresne beer ( in this case only an Estrella Galicia) and it was delicious.

Hello my friend, that is no Birrificio Italiano, i checked on Untappd. It’s kind of brewed specifically for Lidl.

Surprised you didn’t mention where it was £1.79. I got mine from Lidl.

Isn't beer in the UK / Europe still commonly sold in 1 liter bottles? So 33 ounces or so? The typical bottle in the US is 11-12 ounces. That Italian beer bottle looked to be a standard US size beer bottle .... so 1.79 pounds * 3 = 5.37 pounds per liter? Seems expensive to me.

660 ML = 22 ounces or so... 3.58 pounds for 660 ML bottle? Maybe a fair price for premium IPA in the UK?

No, 1 Liter bottles aren't that common. There are the famous 1 Liter cans from Faxe and if you are very lucky you can find the 1 Liter bottle of spanish brewed San Miguel. It's only very common in eastern europe to have 1 Liter, 1.5 Liter and 2 Liter plastic bottles. Like Breznak, Zlatopramen, Branik and Krusovice from Czechia; Timisoreana and Ciucas from Romania, and dozends of brands from Ukraine and Russia. Most of that stuff is very good by the way.
It's mostly 330 ml and 500 ml bottles and cans for the rest of europe. I think the UK also has 600 ml and 660 ml bottles / cans (correct me if I'm wrong).

In the UK beers cans come in 330/440/500/568ml. Beer bottles - 300/330/500/660ml mainly but also 250/275/284/568/600/710ml on occasion.
