    Ordered this May 2021 for the wife. It is in Delaware now. So any day now. She laughed as you both have S22 Ultras and the car in black. Thanks for the video, there is so little footage of the V60 2022.5 Polestar.

      Thanks for the comment Shawn.
      Be warned, the S22U is a snug fit, with a Spigen thin fit case it is very tight, any bigger than that and it won't fit at all.
      Enjoy the motor, they are rare and lovely beasts.

      Did they "fix" the shifting thru the neutral with a single tap or do you still need to double tap P-N-D? Was hoping this was resolved in this refresh.

    Thanks for a great, informative video. What month/year did the new battery start? I'm looking for a nearly new V60 with the longer electric range.
    Also, are the rear calipers on the PE, Brembo also or just standard Volvo?

    OMG have they take away the passengers seats electric adjustable options and the memories, No paddles (Removed on MY21), No adjustable drive mode roller in the middle console, No electric headrest. But I think you paid the same price as it cost before. I am surprised they still have the Exhaust Pipes 😀 I think my 2020 will be a Keeper it's the last real one hehehehe....

      I'm in absolute agreement. That's a lot of deductions & minuses for what.. 17 more hp, 1/2 the battery, missing fogs ? Missing sunroof ??
      It's almost a stripped down Polestar..if there ever is such a thing ?
      I own an S60R with the 5 cylinder turbo. It has adjustable driving modes w/matching adjustable suspension settings.
      Electronic passenger seat & electric 2 position sunroof.
      Included, a "tiptronic" shifter with an additional Sport button !

    Thanks for the video. Questions from the US, where wagons (estates) are an endangered species. Why would the battery be empty, it doesn’t recharge through braking, etc? I did notice you have an Android phone, but what is the wireless Apple CarPlay situation? How are you powering the dash cam - OBD port? 12V? Thanks again!

    • @MrBenjaminHDM
      @MrBenjaminHDM  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching.
      The battery is never truly empty but once the battery has discharged from use the car maintains a buffer through regenerative braking and acts more like a Toyota Prius than a Phev.
      In this car and older models the smartphone pack includes WIRED Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The new Android Automotive infotainment doesn't have car play yet but supposedly will soon.
      I use Fuse Piggy Backs for my dash cam, for this particular installation I have a dash cam battery in the back of the car that charges when the ignition is on and allows parking mode on the camera without taking power from the cars 12V battery. Again this is piggybacked from a fuse in the rear fusebox.

    If you slacken off the Ohlins, how does the ride and handling compare to a standard v60?

    • @MrBenjaminHDM
      @MrBenjaminHDM  2 года назад +1

      In my experience you can't get it as soft as the standard car, you feel the road more but the steering is more direct and it stays flat and holds the road much better.
      I got hold of a standard V60 and I've got a video in the works comparing the suspension.

      @@MrBenjaminHDM thanks for sharing the honest first hand experience! Could you test the pure electic range as well? Many reviews say that with the upgraded electric motor it is driveable on the highways without the petrol engine kicking it. Can you confirm? Asking those questions to find out if this car can be treated like an electric car for person that lives fairly close to the city and charges it over night. It would be the best of both worlds if one really could drive on the battery on a daily basis and use the range that petrol gives you for the weekend trips. Could you please comment on that idea basing on your experience with the car?

    • @MrBenjaminHDM
      @MrBenjaminHDM  2 года назад +1

      @@fpspiter Thanks for the comment.
      This is an easy one, The car has regularly indicated 38-46 miles of EV range, I've yet to test electric range fully but will be sure to do that.
      In terms of drivability in EV mode, if you set to PURE the engine won't come on unless you hit the kickdown switch on the pedal.
      With the new motor and battery it will happily drive on the motorway with spare grunt for overtaking, I've had it up to 90mph on electric only.
      I intend to use PURE to do a 36 mile commute to Leeds, charge up and do the same on the return journey, I will let you know how this goes in a later video.
      For the weekend jobs like shopping and seeing local friends I leave in in PURE mode, it's actually surprisingly usable, reminds me of a mid spec hatchback in terms of acceleration but smooth with no gears.
