shame on modern day volvo, when volvo first created the 5cyl turbo, it was know as the turbo and t-5 (for 5cyl), same as d5. now you have volvo calling 4cyl engines after 5cyl, modern day marketing bs.

5 cylinders sounds like a MAN, 4 cylinders sounds like a boy.

You are saying that the engine is being warmed up in hybrid, while not actually using the engine? That would be good news for longevity

An horrifically boring video of a traffic-filled, soul-sucking drive, BUT... also very informative and useful. My V60 T8 is due in a couple of months. I had wondered about the possibility of setting the final destination back to home on a round-trip. You say it works! I have taken my V60XC on one 2500 mile trip. The seat hurts less after long hours than many others I have had. Well done, time lapses and all.

Great vid. I’ve got a late MY22 V60 Recharge T6 and really like it. Like you I came from a V90 D4 RDesign but don’t miss it too much (apart from the electrically powered parcel shelf!!)

Good videos. I have the BMW 330e at present, but am looking for something with some more power as the 330e only has around 320 on dyno runs. Does this Volvo have the ability to recharge the battery using the engine whilst driving? This is a pretty important feature for me as I don't plug my cars in - and only have hybrids to benefit from reduced tax.

It's great that you got the updated version. I assume that with the removal of the supercharger, a little of the drivetrain complexity is removed which is good for long term. Now it's just a turbo plug in hybrid instead of a turbo-supercharged plug-in hybrid, still making loads of power. Great choice, look forward to more videos on how the Volvo is treating you and what you are doing with it.

My question is why did Volvo lie about the performance? Great looking vehicle I have to admit. But it doesn’t deliver on the acceleration times. Several RUclips videos showing the Polestar models getting crushed by just about all other competitors.

Waiting on hopefully some good news on getting a MY23 V60 PE here in the states. Great videos you have explaining everything. Hope to see more from you soon!

I am really torn because this Volvo looks simply ravishing .... so I really do not know which route to take. But thank you for answering many questions that I had with this Volvo along with many questions that I never would have thought of ( Regen Braking on this Volvo ). Thank you again.

Thanks for the review. My understanding is that this is the only wagon model now available in the US. I have a V90xc that I really like and want to trade for a newer wagon but am concerned I would be disappointed given some of the features they have taken away.

Thanks. I'm sorry to hear that they won't be available in the UK anymore. I am thinking of swapping my V90 out for one here in the US and hope this fall when I am intending to do it that they are still available here.

Great video ! I have the 2020 model. Question: when driving on AWD(rainy conditions)the battery gets quickly drained on the highway. Does the AWD system keeps working after it indicates a empty battery? Can not believe we only have that few miles available on a long rainy trip !? Thanks in advance

Nice review. OMG have they take away the passengers seats electric adjustable options and the memories, No paddles (Removed on MY21), No adjustable drive mode roller in the middle console, No electric headrest. But I think you paid the same price as it cost before. I am surprised they still have the Exhaust Pipes 😀 I think my 2020 will be a Keeper it's the last real one hehehehe....

I am here watching this, with a confirmed delivery of my new V60 T6 Recharge Inscription (New drivetrain with sensus) in Crystal White this Thursday. But boy, I enjoy this video. Never test drived the new drive train, and I caaant wait for the delivery. Have not seen the Hybrid mode video yet (if it is uploaded as of writing this), but I guess you will use the navigation to gain the maximum out of the Hybrid mode. Edit: You explained the adventage of it one minute in. Great stuff! 👍 Thanks for a great video!

Again another brilliant vid I have enjoyed and appreciated. Thank you. Bonus for you to pass near my house. Was this vid on a softer suspension setting than the hybrid one? I noticed the wheel and dash looking a little nervous on that one and this looks more settled and less harsh. If so appreciate ‘number’ you had each on.

These are great videos you are making. Thank you. I am looking to buy a Volvo XC60 with this more powerful electric motor. I've driven the old 87hp motor and it was not enough for that vehicle. I'm interested in how the powertrain behaves in unexpected/unplanned situations. You mentioned that full power is not available when the petrol engine is called upon from Pure mode. It would be interesting to compare acceleration of pure electric vs electric+cold motor vs electric+warm motor.
