Blessings and great Video definitely needed this I have a code P0203 fuel injection 3 and P0303 cylinder misfire, I put in the new spark plug and coil but, same codes will change fuel injector 3 and pray and hope that fixes the problem, I did put some fuel injectors cleaner and that stop some of the rough idling and was running ok but still not a lot of acceleration, so here I go back at again doing homework lol 😂, just have to make sure that I locate fuel injector 3, any comments or help will be greatly appreciated thank you much and God Bless
@@swood248 yes I’m not sure what code reader you have but I think it will tell you which one needs replacing. It’s not hard to do and the injectors are pretty affordable. Just make sure u have towels to catch the fuel that might spill out and be careful with the clip on the fuel injector harnesses
Also at 3:49. What im doing is with my index finger pushing down on the plug at the same time pulling up on the orange tab. This way im not pulling on the orange tab against the locking piece.

My daughter has a 2014 dodge challenger that the check engine light flashed on today. Had a mechanic check it out and he told me that one of the injectors was bad. I asked him if i should change all of them he said it was up to me. It has ran perfect up until now. It has 160,000 miles. Replace all or just the bad one? Also, would it make sense to go ahead and replace the spark plugs and fuel injectors?
@@missb8577 its one of those things where cost is a factor. But also kind of the situation of since your already inthere for one, can replace the rest for the peice of mind. On this job i just replaced the messed up one and the other were fine for another 10k miles before the car was totalled.

I’ve got a 2012 dodge charger 3.6 L pursuit having troubles getting it to start. It will start, but it takes quite a bit Turning the key on and off and cranking it to get it to start and then when I’m driving down the road if I try to accelerate fast it spits and sputters and pops I’ve replaced spark plugs, fuel pumps, alternator, and crankshaft position sensor all in one day I looked at the coils and they looked fine. No arc marks. But I’m stomped on what to do
@@davidp1913 sounds possibly like a bad map sensor or o2 sensor. But sounds like you have already thrown a bunch of money at it already. I would have a shop diagnose the problem for a peace of mind.
Whatsup bro, I did this.. replaced all spark plugs, all ignition coils, and the fuel injector for the cylinder that was misfiring (p0301).. had to jump it to restart it, the code was then cleared... no check engine light.. But after about 50 miles of driving.. (smooth by the way), the code reappeared... idk what do you think it could be??
Last time I was in to have my oil changed in my 2018 Daytona 392, my Dodge dealer said to think about having a fuel injector service performed the next time I’m in. How often does a car need this service. Mine only has 47,000 miles on it and performance still feels great in the car. Just not sure if this service is really necessary right now. Thx for any info you could provide.
It was probably a preventative maintence service. As in your car wont run like crap out of no where, but to be ahead of any problems you can do the service. Orrrr its a money grab lol. But if they legit do the service, it can delay any injector problems way down the timeline.

Do they actually replace them or just “clean” them? The Car has always performed really well, starts up strong each time. Fuel mileage has been right on par since I’ve owned. That Hemi motor is an awesome engine, and I do what to take care of it, if it’s truly needed. Just trying to get educated a bit about these things. Thx you!

Did you make sure that the fuel injectors fit on the engine? If yes, did you torque down all of the bolts? I missed a bolt but it ran fine after. Did you check the spark plugs?
Hello did you find out the problem? I am having same problem now, researching I found out that fuel filter location is in fuel tank maybe this could be it? I am dropping mine today as well as six injectors
I’m guessing this was an Open circuit in the fuel injector… Conversely would an open code inhibit the mis fire code from setting? I was looking around for an injector balance test method to run at home. I only have a simple AutelMax Pro scanner right now and a P0302 lingering here and there after changing the spark plug and coil. Seemed to set right away when ambient temp was 95F.
Is the procedure the same with the R/T’s ?? I have a 2022 but i have been getting really low gas mileage i used to get 19 on the city and now im getting 14 and i promise ya’ll im not stepping on the gas like crazy i drive chill since i always have my newborn with me, but idk whats going on. It all happened after an accident i had like 6 months ago.
So i changed all my spark and coils and gaskets on my challenger 3.6 yet cylinder 3 and 6 repeated misfire i talked to a guy that said maybe my injectors are the issue
I am hoping this is my problem, I can feel the engine shaking from inside the car, spark plugs were replaced and swapped out coil to to another cylinder but scanner still shows as cylinder 1 misfire
@@jacobking3694 good! My car still misfired afterwards, it turns out fuel injectors must have been dirty/clogged with ethanol, I started to use premium gas and after a couple of tank cycles, check engine light came off and my car stopped shaking, runs very smooth again!
So I got one on the number 6 cylinder. With the intake manifold covering the fuel rail what’s a good way to check for a leak? Also, mines currently idling at 500 as well but I’m not getting flagged for an injector, could this drop in rpm be an indicator or an injector?
@@jameshau7408 ands its only isolated to that one cylinder? seems like it would be an injector issue. if it was a whole bank then it could be anything from an 02 sensor to a vacuum leak.
Hello, i unplugged the connector from the injector and the connector was wet with fluid and is all stained yellow. Haven't tested the connector but would it more than likely need to be replaced ?
@hyr0llr it does seem like that. The whole injector is covered with gunk, and I'm not sure if it's oil or gas. When I disconnected the connector, it was stained yellow, and the female input of the injector looked like it had gas inside. Just wasn't too sure how that happened. I was doing an oil filter housing replacement cause the housing failed when i noticed the injector. The car also has a flashing check engine, but I haven't retrieved the codes due to no scan tool aha
@@joelrojas8256 oh yeah. I forgot that these motor are known for the oil housings to leak. I would check the code and see if there is a misfire. Does the motor stutter at all?

@@hyr0llr Just changed fuel injector 5 on my 2018 1500 with the 3.6L. You can access the fuel rail for injector 1,3, & 5. Little finesse involved getting the tubes and electrical out of the way but not too hard. However, I Let it die with the pump off and took the fuel rail off and took a gasoline shower lol. I think I needed to cycle it an extra time or two after it died to take any excess pressure out. But thank you for the video. Trying to get more savvy with my vehicle for minor repairs and this was a big help 👍
@@hyr0llr Oh one factor I switched out the air intake previously so I do have more access to everything than the factory air filter. So for the tru ck I'm not sure if you would have to disconnect the air intake to get the fuel rail.

Sounds like you replaced everything already. The coil packs and injectors are good quality parts?
Might be another fuel injector. It’s always good to change them all at once to avoid random issues again

I just so happened to be working on my buddies R/T this morning cuz a rat chewed his injector plug, and it looks alot easier on the v8s

Driver's side injector plug is not as easy. Totally different plug release and facing back towards fire wall (atleast on 2012 wrangler)

you have a code for cylinder 6? but not a code saying the injector itself?
@@hyr0llr correct. Long term fuel trim on bank 2 is at 11.7% if that’s important as well

Does it look like fuel is bypassing the injector? There shouldnt be any fluid there lol. Make sure theres no corrosion on the injector side

A small one. A 1/4" one that goes by inch pounds.

Did intake have to come off for the number one replacement? Looks like you can access the fuel rail bolts but probably not. Nothing is easy anymore

youll probably be able to pull the screws out. but lifting the rail up and out is unlikely

My fuel injectors did not just pop out they seem stuck i cant get a single one out!

if you do the replacement yourself, i guess you can tow it to the dealership to have them flash it.
So tow plus cost parts costs = might as well pay someone else
