You did not see the end. Carrie was crying. She said in an interview that the Holy Spirit took over during the guitar solo and she did not even remember finishing the song. This is one of the best renditions out there.
Too bad she wont listen to the word of God, when He said homosexuality is an abomination. Also, she doesnt pay any attention to the Ten Commandments either, where it says that murder is a sin. Carrie supports both homosexuality AND abortion.
I will never forget watching that performance when it first aired!! The performance gave me chills, not only because of the incredible talent displayed but that it was being broadcast on the secular, national CBS station. I could literally feel the holy spirit touching souls that just happen to be watching that show on that particular night!! It was powerful then and powerful now! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Vince and Carrie took the world on a journey and absolutely transported us with that performance. Carrie was worshipping the Lord - we were just given the privilege of witnessing that glorious vocal masterpiece. The Holy Spirit shone out of her so brightly it was mind-blowing! How she punctuated every verse with her arm and held those impossibly long notes - absolutely breathtaking! There will never be another performance of How Great Thou Art that will top that PERFECT performance. It affects everyone with a beating heart the same way! The Holy Spirit took over and Carrie said she doesn't even remember singing the last half of the song!
I've watched this performance probably 100 times. I cry every time. You should check out Vince Gill. He is a famous coubtry great with the voice of an angel and the most talented guitarist. In this same tribute, right before this song, Vince sings Carrie's song, "Jesus take the wheel" and it is so beautiful. God bless 🙏
That is Carrie telling the world of her love of the Lord. Vince Gill grew up 2 blocks from my home church in Oklahoma City and married Amy Grant. Amazing Christians and musicians all 3
Goosebumps!! Every time I hear Carrie sing this in this video! And the arrangement of this is absolutely GORGEOUS! Vince Gill on guitar is haunting and beautiful.
This is one of my favorite gospel songs. When I was saved in a little Baptist church, they sang this song. I was with my grandmother, and I could hear her singing her heart out to God. Even tho she is no longer in this world, she is singing this song in heaven. Every time I hear anyone sing this. I STILL hear her fragile, sweet voice singing her praise of how great God is. I know some day I will be singing this song with her again! Praise the Lord Jesus!
Wynonna is a historically amazing country vocalist. The Judd’s (the beautiful redheads in the front row), was the top duo country group of the 80’s and 90’s, a Mother and Daughter team. A must “witness”: Wynonna - I Can Only Imagine. Her passion for the Lord will move you to tears.
Carrie and Vince took everyone in the audience to church. There will never be anyone that will ever sing this praise better. No other proof needed that there is a God. He made a masterpiece with Carrie Underwood.
As I mentioned before, I'm not a huge fan of Country, but there are always exceptions, and this is one of them. I heard this when it first aired (I was with my mom, a huge Country fan) and was blown away. Carrie and Vince are both amazingly talented.
Kathy here - I think I recommended this one to you. It is my favorite hymn and my mother used to sing it in church, and then I joined in when I was old enough to be part of the choir. But then you have Carrie Underwood singing and Vince Gill accompanying her, as he is a great country singer in his own right. His wife is a gospel singer, and they often sing together. And to see the audience start a standing ovation before she is even done with the song. And Carrie is a very religious person, so when she sings a song like this, you can tell in this performance she believes what she is singing. And yes, Vince can make that guitar talk, sing. Thank you for such a thoughtful reaction. Have a blessed day.
Really LOVE this song! 2 beetles and a squirrel could sing it and I would love it…BUTTTT…these two??? For me, this is the greatest rendition…EVER!! And, if I may…Youze Two are wonderful and I thank ya for sharing 😎 God Bless ya and hold you close always 🙏💕
Carrie is always amazing, but this is just breath takingly beautiful. That audience standing are her peers. For a TOTALLY different side of her, check out 'The Champion' with Ludacris. It is inspirational, in a totally different way. And Vince is a star in his own right He has a voice like a angel as proven in his biggest hit 'Go rest high on that mountain' which I have heard at a ton of funerals. Just beautiful.
Vince Gill is someone that you should check out. He is an amazing artist . He started out with a rock group Pure Prairie League. Aimee was one of their biggest hits. He went on to a country and bluegrass career, currently touring with the Eagles.
Vince Gill wrote a song after his brother died, It's called Go Rest High On That Mountain. Please check it out. I know you reacted to Home Free's version, but Vince wrote that song.
I have to double down on requesting the version of Go Rest High on that Mountain from the funeral service for George Jones. The pain in Vince's voice and guitar and the loving humanity of his dear friend, Patty Loveless, supporting him through the rough part will reach out through the screen and touch you, as it has so many others.
Thank you for the most part not stopping to comment on this beautiful performance. I happened to have been working on this and during the first time in rehearsal Carrie and Vince barely got all the way though it. I wept and it hard for me to believe you didn't. Listen to her sing "Jesus Take the Wheel" but listen to the words and DO NOT STOP TO COMMENT UNTIL IT'S OVER.
I am not a Christian man, I can count on 1 hand how many times I have been to church in my life. When I hear this version of the song I weep like a child; I just did watching your reaction. I’m not sure what this triggers in me but it hits my soul every time.
So I have lots to say! That is Carrie Underwood. She started her career winning American Idol. Alot of the country supersatars used to give Carrier Underwood a lot of crap for trying to sing in the country genre after winning American Idol. This particular performance was at the American Country Music Award show and most of the people in the audience are famous country superstars in their own right. And they were standing for Carrie!!!! I guess they were eating their own words that night!! Also, anytime the audience is standing before the song has even finished you know you are witnessing something TRULY SPECIAL!!!! Vince Gill is not only a famous & fabulous singer he is one of the best guitar players also!!! TRULY SPECTACULAR performance!!!!
There is a lot of Country "royalty" in that audience! Vince Gill himself, keep checking out his work. The redheaded ladies are the Judds, Wynona and her recently departed mother Naomi, and Martina McBride.
Great reaction guys! Absolutely love Carrie Underwood. She has another beautiful song called Something In The Water. Would love for y'all to reaction to it.
I watch your reactions often because, like myself, you are a lovely Christian couple, I am a devoted Christian (Catholic) woman. When I go to Mass on Sunday, I pose this question to you, when Hymns are sung are there pauses to comment on the choir? I feel this beautiful Hymn (as we call Gospel songs) are sacred and like The National Anthem should NEVER be paused to comment. Comments should be after the sacred song is over. This is just one opinion of a 63 year old woman. Stay Blessed!!!
I'd love to see you react to "Stryper". A Christian rock band with phenomenal vocals, instrumentation, and lyrics. Songs; "More than a man" "Free", "The Way, "To Hell with the Devil". Just to name a few. 😇
I’ve only seen 3 of your videos. I may hate everything else you’ve done but I doubt it. I just needed to comment and say that you both are sort of surreally beautiful.
You should totally react to Vince Gill song featuring Patty loveless and Ricky skaggs "The rest high on the mountain" It's It's about his brother's death if I remember right My family used the song in many many funerals Started back in '94 when my papaw passed away suddenly from a heart attack my mamaw used it for his funeral in remembrance and also when she passed away in 2004 my daddy used it for her funeral and in my parents will they want it at their funeral when they pass they have not passed yet still living strong and set in their '70s God willing It was also used in And my husband and I in our wedding as a remembrance for the people in spirit that was not there but their in spirit
2024 no way that would be excepted in a fourm now!!someone would be afraid of offending someone!!but someday they will bowl on there knees and say how great thou aret!!
My daughter described this performance perfectly - "She's singing this song like it's her first day in Heaven!" I would have to agree!
Amen!!!! And Vince is an Amazing Artist and one of my favorites. But she absolutely crushed this song!! Goose Bumps
You did not see the end. Carrie was crying. She said in an interview that the Holy Spirit took over during the guitar solo and she did not even remember finishing the song. This is one of the best renditions out there.
And as she was crying she also chuckled like she couldn’t believe what she had just done
Too bad she wont listen to the word of God, when He said homosexuality is an abomination. Also, she doesnt pay any attention to the Ten Commandments either, where it says that murder is a sin. Carrie supports both homosexuality AND abortion.
This is not only one of the best renditions of this song, but I believe it is the single greatest performance of a song ever.
You could tell the Holy Spirit took over
@drew6479 hard to disagree with that assessment!
And even after the very first time it aried.
Vince and Carrie took the world on a journey and absolutely transported us with that performance. Carrie was not just singing , she was testifying.
God blessed Carrie with an awesome singing voice.
God bless 🙏
I've always said this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever recorded.
We should send it into space as a beacon so *THIS* is what aliens here when they fly by.. I'm not kidding when I say this.
When she was on American idol I voted for her 24 times
There is just not enough words to described how great Carrie is !!
She preformed this at a music awards show. Those standing are her peers. When you can bring your peers to their feet you've done something amazing
That is Carrie telling the world of her love of the Lord. Vince Gill grew up 2 blocks from my home church in Oklahoma City and married Amy Grant. Amazing Christians and musicians all 3
It doesn't matter how many times I see and hear this rendition I get very emotional and get the sniffles. Oh my Lord this was for you!!!!
Goosebumps!! Every time I hear Carrie sing this in this video! And the arrangement of this is absolutely GORGEOUS! Vince Gill on guitar is haunting and beautiful.
It's one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen. Simply incredible.
Vince Gill is insanely gifted as a guitarist... very under rated.
This takes you to church....
Everytime.
Praise God!
Wynonna is a historically amazing country vocalist. The Judd’s (the beautiful redheads in the front row), was the top duo country group of the 80’s and 90’s, a Mother and Daughter team. A must “witness”:
Wynonna - I Can Only Imagine.
Her passion for the Lord will move you to tears.
Did you know that Wynona had a long friendship with Michael English. He'd stay with her during some of his rough patches
Top country duo of the 80s and 90s? Brooks and Dunn would like a word with you
The Judd's didn't dominate the 90s. That would be Brooks and Dunn. The Judd's dominated the 80s and had retired as a duo for most of the 90s.
I love this one. You can tell her heart is full when she sings it.
The Lord spoke through her that night
Carrie and Vince took everyone in the audience to church. There will never be anyone that will ever sing this praise better. No other proof needed that there is a God. He made a masterpiece with Carrie Underwood.
Yes HOW GREAT THOU ART...OUR LORD AND SAVIOR
As I mentioned before, I'm not a huge fan of Country, but there are always exceptions, and this is one of them. I heard this when it first aired (I was with my mom, a huge Country fan) and was blown away. Carrie and Vince are both amazingly talented.
Country artist’s never shy away from showing their love for the Lord.

Not too many artists get a standing ovationn when they're in mid song. She was incredible ❤
Especially from their peers. Recognition of true greatness and heartfelt testimony.
I’ve seen this clip so many times and I still get chills every time
Country legend VINCE GILL ON THE GUITAR and BACKUP VOCALS!!
The organ and pedal steel in background just blends well.
I come back to this video every couple months to refill my soul
She can sang sang and he can pick pick with beautiful harmonies too. This performance makes me tear up every single time. 🫶✨️
To me there is nothing better than "God given talent" praising the One that talent came from. God bless Vince and Carrie, and God bless you two.
This is what an angel sounds like
Carrie said she doesn't even remember the last minute or more of
this performance, she was filled with the Holy spirit.
Carrie is always amazing, but this is just breath takingly beautiful. That audience standing are her peers. For a TOTALLY different side of her, check out 'The Champion' with Ludacris. And Vince is a star in his own right He has a voice like a angel as proven in his biggest hit 'Go rest high on that mountain' which I have heard at a ton of funerals. Just beautiful.
I always cry involuntarily when Carrie sings this.
Wow the feeling. Has me crying ❤
Thank you Jesus praise God🙏🙏
Vince Gill is someone that you should check out. He is an amazing artist . He started out with a rock group Pure Prairie League. Aimee was one of their biggest hits. He went on to a country and bluegrass career, currently touring with the Eagles.
This song has been around for many years, but it reached its absolute pinnacle with this rendition. Pure magic
Love it !! thanks Vince is a great guitarist, vocalist, who is married to a
great christian singer, Amy Grant.
The Holy Spirit is in the room when she sings that song!!
I’ve seen her sing this song a hundred times and still get goose bumps.
Vince Gill wrote a song after his brother died, It's called Go Rest High On That Mountain. Please check it out. I know you reacted to Home Free's version, but Vince wrote that song.
If you choose the version where he is singing it in tribute to George Jones, be prepared...
She killed it.
She has the voice of an angel. God blessed her!!
Wow! Couldn’t wait for y’all to get to this one. 😊
I am so glad y'all reacted to this!!
I get chills every time I hear her sing this song 🙏
Praise God. I love listening to both of you in your video. Carrie is good too.
Yesss.. mam . She did that!! Praise God!!!
Goosebumps the whole song! Carrie is amazing
You guys have a wonderful vibe. Thank you for sharing your content.
IMO this is the best version of this song, and that last part was EPIC!! Thanks
I am not a Christian man, I can count on 1 hand how many times I have been to church in my life. When I hear this version of the song I weep like a child; I just did watching your reaction. I’m not sure what this triggers in me but it hits my soul every time.
I've never heard anyone sing a bad version of this song. We all have our favorites. Mine just happens to be Jackie Evancho.
Stoping in the middle of this performance was inexcusable. Please pray about that in the future
You two are such a beautiful young couple. God Bless.
So I have lots to say!
That is Carrie Underwood. She started her career winning American Idol. Alot of the country supersatars used to give Carrier Underwood a lot of crap for trying to sing in the country genre after winning American Idol.

Vince Gill is not only a famous & fabulous singer he is one of the best guitar players also!!!
TRULY SPECTACULAR performance!!!!
Something In the Water. She blew me away with it. Also, I Will See You Again
I knew you guys were going to love this one! There are a lot of people who love this version.
Temporary Home and Something in the Water by Carrie are good also.
Vince Gill is a magician unto himself
What a great song! Love your reactions
There is a lot of Country "royalty" in that audience! Vince Gill himself, keep checking out his work. The redheaded ladies are the Judds, Wynona and her recently departed mother Naomi, and Martina McBride.
This was a great performance and song
Her Something in the Water is uplifting
And vince sings harmony and plays so beautifully please add him
you'll also love her song "something in the water"!!
GREAT REACTION. GOD BLESS YOU.
Amen! Praise God! In Jesus' name! God bless. SHALOM! 😀
“When Christ shall come with shouts of acclamation and take me home…” This part of the song is about the rapture 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
I reckon someone got bitten today by the country music bug outstanding!!!
You broke the golden rule. Lol. Never stop a video during a guitar solo. Lol
Isn't this just awesome?!? 😲 💞
if you can see her live....do it. I also think gospel is her best genre-as she was raised and learned to sing in church.
Great reaction guys! Absolutely love Carrie Underwood. She has another beautiful song called Something In The Water. Would love for y'all to reaction to it.
Something In The Water by Carrie is amazing.
Champion with her and Ludacris is awesome. Video is a must
Absolutely recommend "Something In The Water". Absolutely gorgeous music video. Oh and "Love Wins".
I watch your reactions often because, like myself, you are a lovely Christian couple, I am a devoted Christian (Catholic) woman. Great reaction! The contemporary Christian music is good but you can’t beat the old southern gospel music and the old hymns.
Carrie is singing to the God of God"s .. the king of kings and lord of lords
I'd love to see you react to "Stryper". A Christian rock band with phenomenal vocals, instrumentation, and lyrics. Songs; "More than a man" "Free", "The Way, "To Hell with the Devil". Just to name a few. 😇
I would love to hear your thoughts on Carrie doing Softly and Tenderly. She has an amazing voice and her love of The Lord is obvious
❤❤❤
Carrie has another song, “Temporary Home” that will touch your heart. New subscriber! You two are precious together.
I’ve only seen 3 of your videos. I may hate everything else you’ve done but I doubt it. I just needed to comment and say that you both are sort of surreally beautiful.
hard to believe her start was on American idol
You should totally react to
Vince Gill song featuring Patty loveless and Ricky skaggs
"The rest high on the mountain"
It's It's about his brother's death if I remember right
My family used the song in many many funerals
Started back in '94 when my papaw passed away suddenly from a heart attack my mamaw used it for his funeral in remembrance and also when she passed away in 2004 my daddy used it for her funeral and in my parents will they want it at their funeral when they pass they have not passed yet still living strong and set in their '70s God willing
It was also used in And my husband and I in our wedding as a remembrance for the people in spirit that was not there but their in spirit
She's amazing. You might like "Something in the Water" by her also
This is my go to video when I'm hurting beyond belief, I believe Jesus is my savior!
2024 no way that would be excepted in a fourm now!!someone would be afraid of offending someone!!but someday they will bowl on there knees and say how great thou aret!!
I am so surprised you haven't done Just a Dream, because I know you love videos that are amazing..
Please react to Vince Gill singing
The Warmth of The Sun
Can’t wait till you go down the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole. His lives are crazy , the best male singer of our generation.
Weep ... Everytime!! Love her and Vince is a legend. Maybe you want to check her video for Jesus Take the Wheel! 🩷
