🍂MY LAST CANNING/FOOD PRESERVATION MARATHON OF THE YEAR!!!🍂
HTML-код

- I cannot belive that this year is almost over! I will be sharing an occasional canning recipe here and there throughout what remains of this year for a turtorial but THIS will be the last canning marathon of 2024 for me. The pantry is stocked with a ton of staples to get us through the fall, winter and the holiday season. In the first couple months of 2025, I will probably do a restock "can with me" video to replenish what we ate through. Until then, I hope you find this video both motivating and inspiring to get your pantry stocked up for the fall/winter months that lie ahead!

We are still harvesting tomatoes and peppers from our gardens. Today I canned green tomato relish. Tomorrow I will be canning chicken and potatoes since we are going through alot of what I had canned. I'm still pulling bacon and beef from the freezers and getting that canned up also. I love using my dehydrator for peppers and tomatoes skins.
The color of the salsa is so vibrant! All your filled jars are going to be a beautiful addition to your pantry!
My mom used to make cream style corn. Once she passed the knife over the corn the first time she would use the back of the knife and do it again to get the milk and the rest of it out of the cob. She would put it in bags and freeze it then later when she was going to cook it for a meal she would add thickener and milk and make it into cream style corn. Talk about something yummy! She didn't have eight kids but she worked a full-time job, would come in from work and change clothes and go back out and work in the garden she says that was more relaxation than sitting in front of a TV. There were many times she would send my sister and I to bed and she would stay up working on making pickles or getting stuff ready to can the next day.
Thanks for sharing that! Your mom sounds like a wonderful person. I have to agree that I find doing things that are productive with my hands much more relaxing than watching a show. I'm happy to hear that you have such wonderful memories of her! ❤️
Thank you for sharing.😊
Loved watching you prepare and can your vegees and salsa. Takes me back to watching mom and dad canning in the 60's and 70's. It's so worth it! Thanks for sharing.
I'm so happy to hear that! 😊
I love to can things my first time for canning blueberry pie filling
@@DebraMason-d2e Awesome!
Do yourself a favor, if you build on the exercise room add a room with windows facing where you get the most sun, add lots of windows, put gutters on chain or nylon cord and make indoors vertical garden. Only if your greenhouse does not have a small wood stove to maintain an indoor growing temperature. The house temperature stays warm enough to grow finger carrots, fresh greens, green onions, chives, spices, and for the lowest layer edible flowers. Put on end of lowest 2 rows plants cats don’t like to prevent catastrophe! 😊 I found the work out space was perfect for this it gave me something to focus and think on other than how hard the work out was or how hard I was breathing!
I would love to see a video on tomato paste and sauce made it your tomato powder. You are one smart cookie I have learned so much from you!
Great video! I use a nutribullet and magic bullet to grind tomato skins, depending on amount.
Great video
Your family going to very delicious meals this winter
Your family and you have a great weekend
Be safe😊
Thank you!! Have a wonderful weekend as well! ❤️
Just found your channel. New sub. Beautiful home and love the recipe ideas.❤
The bowl with the bear on it that you’re putting all the salsa veggies in…where did you get it? I need that in my life lol
I got it on Amazon last year. I just checked and it looks like its no longer available amzn.to/40ncuaW
The only other set they have under that same brand is this

Oh my goodness are those veggies from your garden? They are beautiful. I don't have a garden so I need to buy mine to can. I rent my house and cannot have a garden but I do a few potted plants. Thanks for sharing
Everything except the corn, onions, and the celery! This was our first year growing in the greenhouse my husband built this summer. I have to buy what we can't/ don't grow ourselves as well. 😊
Enjoying your channel! Have you done a pantry tour? I know you were working on it. Maybe I missed it.
I'm so happy to hear that! I did one about 6 months ago. 😊 ruclips.net/video/ErTUnJnYVVc/видео.htmlsi=w0chnFD9UnrtkVgx
Good video ! I liked it ! Thank you !
Angela could you or have you shared a 30 day meal plans?
💜💜💜💜💜
I make salsa but do t cook it. It cooks in the canner so it's not nearly as mushy done that way. How long does it take you to cook dehydrate the skins and what temperature do you set the dehydrator at?
I still want to know what food mill you have and love so much!
I have a Wondermill! It is currently on sale on Amazon amzn.to/4f6jkph
I just seen
Parts of Colorado are under a winter storm
Warning. If it’s you I hope you are prepared
Thank you so much! That's not our area, but we did have some snow in our mountains yesterday with some freezing temps and flurries. I'm spending this weekend getting everything winterized and ready for our animals because I know the snow is coming soon!
@@rockymountainhomesteadangela I know this is a busy time for you. And I really want to make salsa. I love salsa and chips, salsa on my eggs, it’s so yummy
@@pamharton6059 Those are two of our favorite ways to eat it! It's amazing on an omelett casserole I make as well. I feel that's one thing I never have enough of on our shelf 😅
@@rockymountainhomesteadangela I would love to have your casserole recipe.
I'm sorry, did i miss the celery salt recipe? I didn't see it. Would you share that with me? Thanks the awesome video.
Thank you for letting me know! It must not have saved. I just added it to the description.

How spicy hot are those salsas I love salsa but I can’t handle a lot of heat
I wish you had explained more about using a pressure cooker??? Did you water bath some of the items? I enjoy you channel but you go so fast maybe you can slow down a little:) I just ordered my large jars to make the different dry mixes:) tfs and God bless:)
@barbaraharrold5361 Thanks for letting me know. I do have some videos that are more in-depth and step-by-step for using a pressure canner. When I do individual tutorials, I try to take my time and go through the steps thoroughly. For the marathons that are voice-overs, I just cover the basics or else they would be extremely long. Feel free to let me know if there's a type of video you would like to see more thoroughly, and I can make that happen! 😊
Angela created a playlist for us called Canning and Food Preservation which has all her canning videos in one spot! I recommend watching that for more in-depth videos 😊 you can also search the channel name along with whatever you want to can “Rocky Mountain homestead with Angela canning potatoes” for example to find her video on canning potatoes! Hope that helps!
Do you get help? That’s a lot for one person.
