I did this expierement. Small 4 pole motor. Nominal speed is 1500 rpm on 50 hz. With vfd on 220 hz and 7000 rpm, torque so low. Rpm go down becouse motor cant spin its own blower
Lesson learnt: use steel brushes if you are overvolting your brushed mother. They lasted longer, just beware of the molten steel flying everywhere. :^)
Thank God, Finally the Video I Wanted Came. I Do These Kinds of Experiments All the Time. I Like Burning Small Engines. Where Did You Get the 400-500 Volt Supply? I'm Waiting for More Videos Like This
can anyone explain to me why the amps go up too when increasing the voltage? In electric cars, if I have a full battery, the motor gets more volts, less amps and with an almost empty battery the motor gets way less volts, but much more amps (at least for a short time until the BMS caps the amps drawn.) Cars with an 800 Volt system do use only half the amps as compared to the same model on an 400V system. But with half the Amps, the losses of the engine are only 1/4. But in all cases, the motor uses the same energy, but just adjusts amps to hold its target power / target rpm in comparison to the voltage available... Why the heck to all those tools spin until doom and just increase the amps drawn even if the voltage is risen?
because if you increase the load of the motor the amps will increase in a higher rate too. you can see that current draw is steady until comes the overvolt and the motor rpm doesn't climb as fast as he can. that's when the motor needs more current to keep it turning.
The Saw Sounded like a Jet Engine Impact Wrench sounded like a 4 Stroke Engine and then Throttled up 9 in Grinder is not known what they sound like in overclocking the power Drills sounded like a Jet Engine (Same as the 1) Rotary tool is not known what they sound like

A request: try overvolting a drone motor that spins at about 50000rpm at 3.7 volts, that motor is a tiny motor found inside of toy drones see if you can reach 100000rpm! Even if your meter says too high, still keep cranking up voltage until it gets damaged. Then post the link to the video.
I'm working on a video like that, I hope to release it in a month or so. I made an attempt a few videos back, it's called something like "Overvolting bldc motors/ pc parts" but my controller had trouble switching that fast. I got a much faster controller now to reach extreme speeds
I was expecting those angle grinder discs to fail and cause mayhem
i watched this with safety glasses on
i watched the grinder squinting like i always tend to do 😅
@@casemodder89 do you expect the blade just throwingn out of your device intno yor face
@@MrCoolOfficialYT a man who squints at angle grinders is a fool on all days except one
@MrCoolOfficialYT you literally wear safety glasses in your profile pic :^)
Those angle grinders made me really anxious.
Haven't had any accidents myself, BUT I keep thinking of it as ANKLE Grinder,
Because angle sounds like ankle (yikes).
I chuckled when the rev meter started creeping away😂😂😂
here’s me watching motors die on a Thursday night with nothing else to do 😂
same how
Literally me right now.
The Biltema "dremel" tool DID make it's speced top speed....At 430 volts! LOL.
there was something not right about tha one. something dragging probably the bearings
It was 420 volts so 🌿
I thought the reader just looped around whenever it hit its top amount. Like it would actually be 130000 rpm
i want to see this with induction motors & a VFD, and incrementing the frequency until they burn up, that would be insanely funny.
Yeah that's on my to-do list, but it looks like I have to build my own VFD... Or do you have any suggestion on a suitable pre-built one?
@@Cskirt They do exist, Zuked has them on Aliexpress. But only 2.2kw.
I've tried this but the electromagnetic field collapses around 3 a 4 times the frequency, so above like 160hz the motor only spins down

Vfd cand produce so high voltage need for this frequency. For 87 hz need 380v insteed 220 for 50. And how voltage need for 200hz and same torque?))))
1:30 Starting Up
This is wildly satisfying and cool to watch what happens at such absurd levels
1:25 The 1.9 PD TDI in the work van on a cold winter morning..
The cutting wheels seem to have a much better tolerance beyond their ranges than the grinders 😂
I think I just found me my new favorite .I like it. it's amazing how tough they actually are
230mm grinder accelerated to a speed of ~650 km/h ☠️🌚
Must have been an expensive video to make 😶
All my videos are expensive 😅, this wasn't too bad, mostly old used corded tools no one wants

@@VIPPotato Oh, well i didn't see that. Thanks!
In the day and age of lithium and brushless tools, you can often find corded tools in the trash or at the flea market for a couple bucks per lol.
Man seeing those grinder discs spin like that made me have flashbacks of when one exploded on me
Need to do it again but with brushless power tools
Holy moly that impact gave me welders flash😂
Same

I knew exactly what to expect with the steel "brush" on that impact but still gagged when I heard that startup
Getting into Photonicinduction territory, I see.
I wish photonicinduction was still active 😢
bro took "playing with electricity" to a whole new level
When you were testing out the Black and Decker and DeWalt angle grinders, I was expecting them to surpass their exceeded limits, and they sure did.
That DeWalt was especially impressive wow.
Liked, subbed, and lifetime follower before watching. This is home.
What power company you got there? Mine got my TV, speakers, PC PSU, washing machine and water heater shot after releasing three-phase current

443V to fail that old school saw, old tools were incredible lol
Ahh, asmr to my ears🥰
These power tools are universal motor can run at DC and burnout way more powerful! I recommand try this next time!
What kind of power supply are you using to blow these things up!?
The impact wrench became a jackhammer 😂
Awesome! Keep up the good work! 😊
Photonicinduction would be so proud :D
If he'll be ever back
Well that settles it- I’m upgrading all of my corded tools to steel brushes
Did the commutator explode on the black and decker grinder?

Yes, swedish
