Also. Man one of my main reasons I love your channel. Is that you put the prices of the stuff you talk about and where to get them and stuff.. that’s such an awesome detail that you do even tho I’m sure it’s time consumin for you.. it’s totally worth it man!!
My little tip for tool storage is using old springs as wrench holders. It’s all I have, they are free if you look for them and keep everything nice and locked together.
Hands down the best keychain light is the OLight IMINI 2. Super small and magnetically detaches in half which makes it convenient and how the light is automatically turned on and off.
I have those Caplugs in my Amazon wish list after watching that video! I was hoping they'd go on sale for Prime Day. Hopefully, black Friday. If not, I'll just have to buy them at full price. Here's my latest tip: Hack saw, smaller hack saw, miter box saw, wood saw... How to store 8 saws in my tool box? I used a pair of desktop letter organizers ($14 on Amazon) to stand them on edge. They don't cut into my drawer liner or my hand and they fit perfect in a deeper drawer. I have most of my c-clamps on edge, clamped to a piece of wood in the same drawer. BTW, I've had one of those big baking sheets in my garage since sometime in the early 90's. I can't even remember where I got it! I used to keep it under my old Blazer that leaked from every gasket, and now I use it for all sorts of things. It was super handy a few weekends ago, when I was pressure bleeding my brakes and the catch bottle fell over... on the baking sheet...
We get our pry tools from places like yardstore. We use poly y scrapers as soft pry bars with the metal spoons from brown. Theyre a sealant scraper. Im putting mine back in their shadow right now.
One of my favorite channels on youtube. Absolutely love it when a new video comes out. Thanks for doing these - I've picked up some many tools and ideas because of your channel haha
I have that stool and it is fantastic my wife bought it for me, I highly recommend it. The cookie sheet is a great idea, definitely going to outlast anything else. Great video with a lot of good ideas thank you
I previously recommended medical shears on this channel. Glad that you finally got some to see how practical they are. I always keep a set or two in my garage and have saved me many time. I also have had that zip tie gun, another life saver when doing big projects that require zip ties.
I love those line plugs. Come in super handy on equipment with hydraulic lines and manifolds. There are times where I do wish I had a screw on caps to hold back more pressure. But those rubber plugs work for most things and they work really well.
Fantastic assortment. I have a couple, The Leatherman shears, the Boruit keychain light, but a variation with a UV Light, and the Zip Tie Holder. Thay Oxygen Sensor Removal thing looks like a definite "I need That" thing!
Awesome video! some great little gadgets to make life easier. My wife is a chef so we have stacks of those baking sheets. Well ... she might have a few less than she thinks now. 🙂
For zip tie storage I buy bungie cords from harbor freight and stick the zip ties in the container as it has a lid, and fit even the larger zip ties bungie cords for brakes etc
I have the top scan with me in whatever vehicle I’m in, it’s a powerful tool for the price. And I saw those shears when you did that tour and immediately put it on my list, I’m thinking next paycheck:) thanks great video, need to pickup those line plugs to go with my lisle set.
Those sheers are awesome There goes another hundred I picked yp a busboy cart years ago it worked so well I picked up a biger one easy to clean nice to store projects on 👍😎👍
Jack pads are useful especially the kind that are made with a deep slit/channel for jacking up cars along the pinch weld without bending and boogering them all up
Hey really love your videos and all the content. Just asking maybe next time you are doing a video in your garage if you could just give a little run down on your s2000. I also own a s2k and would like to see more of yours. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Another great video. I learned about the aviation spoon from one of your videos, and picked one up from my snap on guy and really love it. I love tools, i love collecting them, i love buying tools that maybe will shave 30 seconds off a job, and your videos really hurt my bank account lol
That oxygen sensor air hammer adapter is neat. Do you know if anyone makes an adapter with a socket drive and a divot like that to get a hit on the side. Or a wrench adapter that lets you boost with an air hammer. I know they have stuff like the Mayhew bolt breaker but that requires a lot of room sticking out and doesn't work for every scenario.
I gave up on scan tools using the phone. One huge complaint is that thing is slow! The ThinkDiag version is ok, but dongle died 9 months in and I tossed it in the trash. They are sort of a gimmick since the ALL car yearly subscription renew is crazy expensive! This combined with the problems above, I don't recommend it. Some tools I use pretty often are a combination of 3-4 fan clutch tools from Blue-Point which I purchased on eBay. One is like a hook for those fans pulleys or clutches with studs and nuts. The other one has the pins and one with two different sizes large open wrenches for GM and Chrysler. Another for like Ford Rangers. That and air hammer with long Mayhew tapered punch is all you need. I recently purchased the high torque DeWalt 1/2 Dr and it's huge and heavy. Also bought the updated 800 ft lbs DeWalt mid torque which looks same as older version. I don't recommend either of those impacts. The Milwaukee version is smaller but I didn't want to change battery platforms. I do think Snap-on has the best cordless ratchets, but they not worth the money. The Milwaukee M12 work ok and you don't have to get grease all over your hands on a weekly basis like Snap-on. Tools keep you broke even after you retire and don't need most of them. What I should do is open a pawn shop in town and use my tools to kickatart my business. But it's very difficult to let go of what took a lifetime to get! Probably what I end up doing though in the next year or two. I really need to stop buying tools. I did buy a chainsaw after the hurricane hit. Not cordless but tried and true 2-stroke gas engine, can't beat it! I don't like buying big batteries 😳
Yeah those massive batteries cost quite a bit! Sucks you didn’t have much luck with the bluetooth scanners. I’ve had mine for 3 months or so and it’s been great so far. 🤞
I rebuild small engines and carburetors all the time I use disposable baking trays keeps all the fluids they fit underneath most of the small engines to drain them and when they get nasty, I’ll throw them away
@ToolBoxTour I'm kind of an NPS addict. I think most of my shopping happens there and they have those distinct labels. I've found a lot of good deals on Proto Tools there, even Cornwell, but I've only seen knipex there once, and they were cutters for a very niche application.
Im kinda mad, I bought a Thinktool scanner that had birectional controls for $260 and now they went away with an update. While this thing is $60 and has that.
I think every man should carry not only a pocket knife, but a pair of trauma sheers! You can literally cut a penny in half with my Raptors! So i bought 3 pair.. one for the wife and my tac-bags, and the other one i carry everyday. Edit: carrying a knife isn't for personal protection.. That's what my Glock 19 is for.
Hey man can you please tell me what app you use to edit your videos ? I’m trying to make a video on my piece of junk diesel scanner I bought so people don’t waste there money like I did but I can’t figure it out it’s not a tool box your just want to share some wisdom for other guys looking for a scanner like I am and this thing is the worst thank you
I heard that the leatherman shears... are just rebranded.. the knock-offs are made in the same factory. Save some cash, buy the cheaper ones. 10 year warranty, what do you do if they break in 5 years. Send back to Amazon?? Lol
The Leatherman are made in the USA while the others are not. But honestly, with all of the great reviews, they look like a solid set for a fraction of the price.
Hello, we're ONOWTE, a manufacturer of Camera Systems. Now, we are looking for partners to test and review our camera system. Are you interested in getting a sample to review and working with us? I had emailed you some further details and looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
I know you used ti eremch profesionally have you ever thought about becoming a tech again? Or miss it? O guess RUclips is full time now, but before that or at the beginning?
I’m planning on making a video about my transition out of the field. But long story short - I would only ever get back into it if I absolutely had to in order to keep food on the table. It’s a big reason I’ve kept all my tools.
@@ToolBoxTourI'll keep an eye out for that video but honestly even if I quit working on semis I don't think I'd ever get rid of my tools either just in case I ever started my own shop or went mobile never going without tools again lmao
I was going to say the same thing. Sometimes you can’t run. Mentally you have to prepare for the possibility. I will do whatever I have to, to protect my kids.
Brother can you just stop making videos, my bank account sucks because of your videos! Great content as usual! Cheers!
Dude past moth ive spent about 1500 on random tools i have seen on this channel i love it tho lol
😂😂true
Makes me want more tools

Hi from Russia, dude. Thank you for your expertise. I really appreciate for your videos.
I’m adding that scan tool to my list. I didn’t know you could have something like that be bi-directional. Thats awesome!!!
Video idea: hutch accessories. Homemade and store-bought.
If you have a local restaurant supply store, that's a great place to buy sheet pans of sizes you won't usually find in regular stores.
Love your channel but my bank account doesn't 😂
Great stuff!
😅 sorry bout that!

The dedicated light you keep on your body is very important.
Ya, better than killing your only communication device in the middle or no where. Paired with a Solar battery brick then you're set.
You’re on point with the edc shears. I carry Victorinox Super Tinker for that same reason. Scissors are so useful
We get our pry tools from places like yardstore. We use poly y scrapers as soft pry bars with the metal spoons from brown. Theyre a sealant scraper. Im putting mine back in their shadow right now.

THE VIM BIG BOY SEAT!!!! Hell yeah lol those seats are so cool. Super convenient too for more than just mechanic stuff.
I bought a full sheet baking sheet pan for this exact reason. It works great and it was super affordable. I use it as a catch pan too
Thanks for the video. I seen more stuff I need to buy. I love tools too.
Cool. A punch also works great for plugging smaller lines. Also, that is a clever idea using a baking sheet to contain fluids.
When I saw you light up about the Raptors on the other video I thought 'He will have that scissor shortly' lol.
😂
Just picked up a topdon to monitor a bunch of stuff while I was working on my car's ZF transmission. So far it's worked out pretty well

I noticed the convex spot mirror on the wall, that’s a great idea!
Thanks! Comes in handy 😅
The cookie sheet! Dang, what a good idea.
I'm going to order that top scan now, looks great
It's so good!

Grip edge hex sockets are fantastic. I’m a cnc machine maintenance tech. They don’t strip out socket head bolts like regular Allen sockets.
Did you need college for that?

Missed the video this morning. But I’m here to see it now 😎 keep the videos rolling my guy!
Rope ratchets are super awesome, my worker had em and I'll never use a bungee strap again
Nice! I’ll have to look into those.
