- Ethan has been around the block a few times. He knows where he wants to be, and it’s not a mistake that he landed himself here working on Sprinter vans. Ethan has grown with this company and you can tell he’s not looking to leave any time soon. I was so happy to be back in that shop and Ethan’s tour made it perfect. Sorry for all of the fork lift action in this one, but that’s an element I couldn’t control! Thank you so much Ethan! It was so great talking to you and I enjoyed the tour so much! If you enjoyed the tour that Ethan took us on, give this video a Like!

I’m not sure which was better his tool box tour or his general upbeat attitude and personality. I loved how he had names for everything. 👍🏻 👊🏻
He has a sensational voice. I enjoy, very much
I assume that’s what you mean? I’m half hard
Every mechanic should have this guy’s attitude!! Great video.
Every RUclips comment should be just like yours! Shut up… refrain from absolutes, and do you work in the industry? yes it is important to be positive, but such a weird statement…🤫 there is a selection process and some of those old curmudgeons you can learn the most from. Strange statement. Everyone is allowed to be different.
@@sydneykillian3685can’t tell if you’re mocking him or agreeing with him? But yet you tell him to shut up ??
The hook is called a rafter hook. It's for hanging your tool off rafters or, it works pretty ok for ladders too. Also, if you are wearing a tool belt, you'll usually have a few loops or d rings the hook can also hang off of as well.
Loved this guy's sense of humor. "You could charge a potato with this thing."😆 I appreciate all your work and providing all the links in these great videos!
Thanks for watching!
Love this guy's attitude! Super cool
This guy knows what he needs to get his job done professionally. Great video, thank you, Ethan.
Good video, this guy was very happy showing his collection. 😄
Yeah it was a fun tour!
You have the ability to find good tool collections and more importantly great inthusiastic upbeat people thank you both
This guy is great. Definitely has his mechanical/tool priorities in order. Great boxes!
What a nice guy. Some great ideas too. I'm going to steal that tire inflator air fitting trick!
Enjoyed this one that man just seems so happy it would be so nice to be around him all day it has to rub off not to mention nice tool collection 👍😎👍
Couldn't agree more!
“It would charge a potato” this guy cracks me up 😂 he said a bunch of hilarious things in the video
Haha!
This has been my favorite video so far I love seeing people that love tools like I do and you can tell this guy has an addiction to tools like I do love it
I’m sure this has been said many times, I’d like to add my compliment to the pile. I love the way you put the name, part number and price of the tool that is being discussed. That adds so much to your videos. I like them over any other toolbox videos. Knowing part numbers and prices Really hits home with the viewer because they know what to expect when they get on the tool truck. If I walked on the tool truck looking for a Snap-On half inch impact gun and the guy told me 600 bucks I think I’d fall over. Watching your videos and knowing the prices first is a big help.
I’m glad to help! Do note - all these prices are list price. If you walk on a truck, they will usually give you a little better price. 👍
Awesome video! I love watching all the toolbox tours, they gave me so much great ideas and inspiration. I’ve been working at a local car care center for almost 3 months and I’ve invested a lot for my career. Right now I’m a lube tech and so far I love my job, I’ve learned a lot from my boss and my coworkers. I will be learning more soon. I recently bought a smaller service cart specifically for oil changes for other side of the shop to buy time when the customer is waiting during oil change rather than walking a lot, waste time and energy.
Greetings from state of Utah 😁
We’re in the same state 👍 thanks for watching!
He seems like such an awesome dude to work with!
2:11 Sounded like a stereo when I asked it out loud at the exact same time you did! 😂
😂
yes, i love the finish on that box. My husky has similar, its so small but it looks brand new even though its been smashed into it
Yeah super durable
Finally something I have I see someone else use. Out of everything it was the damn Doyle set.
They seem to be some solid screwdrivers
I am not a mechanic, but a software engineer, loved seeing this week’s episode. This was a lot of fun.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
The hook fits over a 2x4
Thanks!!
Nice boxes! Using your gifts wisely! I used to buy Matco in this area from Richard Bentzgen. I wish I had been able to stay in my old position. Rich was a stand up tool dealer and was no BS.
The finish on that box is soo unique
the techs at this shop seem like very good people to work with/be around
Very well spoken individual. Super professional. Great setup. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for your hard work. I understand the feeling of seeing your products out in the real world. It’s a great feeling. Thank you Dustin. Your an inspiration and the greatest person I know.
“Greatest person I know”
😂 don’t make me laugh John!! But yeah it’s cool to see cars you’ve worked on out in the wild. Thanks for watching John!
@@ToolBoxTour Cars. No. No. No. Sounds of American 🇺🇸 Freedom.
Your still the greatest.
Dude was cool. You can tell he loves what he does and appreciates all of his stuff
Dude needs some Tub O Towels in case he does get those yellow screwdrivers dirty.
The clip on the heat gun is for your tool bags. In most of the other trades such as electricians and plumbers we have bags on and those clips let the tool just hang on it. Or on your belt
Or a 2x4
The point of the feeler gauges is they should be green and red handled so you can have go and no go setup for making adjustments.
So many acorns, it drove me nuts. I'm here for this guy.
Haha!
I also have a Matco triple bank with a hutch and total height it's around 5ft tall. Luckily, I'm not that tall, so I don't mind it. He looks pretty tall, so he should at get the matco top drawer add-on or even 2 of them if he really wants a hutch on that box.
Yeah I think that extra drawer would be perfect
Hell yes best channel on yourube
Haha thanks!
33:05 I don't have that brand of one but I've used that same kind of tool to suck out water from the inside of cabs
It's nice to see a guy getting it done with the tools he has that didn't cost a fortune. Give him another 10+ tears and he'll probly have a fortune invested lol.
I have that same roll around battery charger, we call it fire hazard instead of dumb dumb though 😁
😅
Another great one! Love the matching box/cart that color has always been one of my favorites
Yeah! I love the matching part too
Farm equipment toolbox would be cool
Super cool dude with nice tools and boxes !!
I’m sold , I have to have one and the shop , this is a good Idea, I want to partner with these guys and bring them up here , Seattle Tacoma (SeaTac )
I had this playing in the background and after about 5 minutes I asked myself "Why is Scottie Pippen talking about tools? " Kind of disappointed it wasn't Scottie
I like this guy, great tool collection. Now I have to go shopping for a foot booty box
😅
Nice kid, “you could charge a potato” lol nice set up !
Haha that got me when he said that. Thanks for watching Daniel!
weird the Milwaukee inverter has a joist hanger. guess that that one off job might need it and there it is when you need it.. but I cant think of any reason id need a small inverter clipped to the side of a stud for any around the house kind of work id be doing with a low wattage tool.
HAHAHAHA that old school Pittsburg 3/4" socket set is awesome, I have the exact same one, when you need it you need it
What a good dude. I could work with that guy all day every day
He’s super chill!
Love that pink snap on pilpers. Who doesnt like stickers lol. I have a bunch on my box
thank you for all the interesting videos
The hooks are generally used for latching onto ladders or hang the equipment on something that is not on your person.
Good to know!
Great video. Seems like a cool guy. Super friendly. 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Ryan!
Ethan gang rise up!!!!
He has an awesome setup.
Yeah he does!
@14:07. That’s a rafter hook. Framers use it all the time on the side of nail guns, it slides over a 2x4 so they can secure their tools safely.
In those tools case, it’s so you can let them cool down without melting whatever it’s resting on
Good to know!
Awesome set up thanks for sharing. 💪🏽
I love the cookie story. Outstanding
Haha yeah it was an entertaining tour for sure
Love the silver vein. Have the 2s in that color. Wish Snap On had something similar
Snap on has a Storm Gray color thats pretty close.
@nathankisner8332 its not textured though like the Silver vein
What a cool dude
Ethan aint messing around hes totally set up
Great video and great guy ! Awsome set up! Rafter hook on Milwaukee tools
Thanks 👍
Milwaukee was more construction focused then they are now so they added the hook that fits over 2 by material like a rafter or joist or saw horse
Thanks!!
Great video, thas for sharing Ethan!
8:10 what’s that horrible beeping❓Little dog watches u-tube with me and HATES beeps😊. Great set up really like this guy.forgot to mention he has great shoes‼️
It’s a motion alarm on the scissor lift in the back ground.
Whenever the guy working moves the lift, it beeps for “safety”
@@DarkKnightBusa 👍thanks
Really wanted to see that creeper hanger on the left side there and what he used to hang that creeper. Also the pry bar holder on the side the camera was hitting it the whole without talks about it either. Great video but show us those things. We want to know what they are too
Marco sells it iirc
i actually made the creeper holder myself, the ones they sell just werent quite right for what i wanted, ive also got an extra one in case i felt like making more id have a template
@@BraydenSB i see those
@@Tech1O i liked how the creeper wasnt sticking out too far up above the top of the toolbox. The lisle and matco one places the creeper too high and i didnt like it. I like the one in this video. 👍
He actually went over the build of the creeper holder and the prybar holders but I ended up cutting them from the video 😩. The creeper holder is custom and the prybar holder is (I believe) snap-on.
Definitely another great video I really enjoyed. Will you talk to individuals? And they seem very educated about their job. They're just not flashing cool tools
Sign out sheet for tools nice one
Yeah it’s a fantastic idea for the more expensive tools
It’s a rafter hook!
when it comes to scissors, I'm a huge fan of the Hart scissors from Walmart. they're like $12 and they're very sharp and hold up very well. I'm actually surprised with how nice they are, I've bought two sets, one for the garage and one for the kitchen.
Good to know. I’ll have to check them out next time I’m at Wally.
The hook is for construction to hang the tool onto a 2×4
Enjoyed the video. Nice collection
Glad you enjoyed!
The hook on the side of the Milwaukee tools is for hanging on a 2x4
Thanks for confirming what I suspected what it was for.
It looked like the perfect shape to go over a 2 x 4
Yay, i been waiting.
Love the cookie story bro sounds like something I would do
Haha right?
Bruh those are rafter hooks they will hook onto a 2x material in construction
20:52 one of the previous shops i worked at had one of those hand pump mityvacs as a shop tool for bleeding brakes, i actually had the plastic handle on the hand pump break on me while i was using it and the end of the metal shaft cut a chunk out of my finger so bad i had to get it burned shut at the hospital. i bought my own air powered one after that
😱 glad it didn’t end worse than that
I wish you had a second channel called workshop tours.
I don’t know any happy mechanics 😂
I wanna work with this guy
Hook is called a ladder hook. That’s exactly what Milwaukee calls it. It made for hanging off of stuff, including ladders.
Not something I would really use on a heat gun as if it’s swinging, it can swing into you or something with a hot tip. Not the best thing.
It can ALSO be swing out, and act as a little bit of a stabilizer when the tool is on its back doing wiring over it, will add a little bit of knock over protection, but not much.
Cool, good to know!
My grandpa always told me, ladi there are three things you never lend out to anybody: your car, money and especially not your tools. Now you know why. Very often you don't get it back.
Wise man!
Don't loan money you can't afford to lose.
It’s called a rafter hook
the hook is for hooking to 2x lumber
The hook is for studs. Why it's on a heat gun?
The vid that got me to subscribe. 🤓👍
When did chief Kief become a mechanic
Note to new guys starting out: do not buy tools because they look cool. Tool box real estate is expensive and non essential tools keep you in debt.
Underrated comment right here!
hes a cool dude
english mechanics do you guys use usa based tools like tekton and macto for example. if so how do they compare to snap on ? im a apprentice and just seeking answers if american brands are as good as snap on
Snap on is gonna be a little bit better quality for pretty much every hand tool, but not such a big difference that the price is worth it
@lumpofnicoal8381 so would you recommend getting tekton or harbour freights or just buy snap on straight away
This is for anyone who caught the Acorn joke.
There's a reasoning behind each tool, each brand and why they buy it
I thought the rule was that you don’t loan out tools?!
