I got a feeling sooner or later people will leave lifestyle shoes and buy running shoes instead, because it is more functional. The line between performance and comfort has been crossed
All of the outdated running shoes are “lifestyle” shoes now like old air maxs from the 90’s and 990 NB etc. so I don’t see why these won’t eventually become lifestyle shoes like 20 years from now when running shoes have hover shoe capacity on the outsole like back to the future
im in my 20s and ive already left the style looks more for comfort and decent style now. Its just a waste of money to get shoes that arent that comfortable which will make me rarely wear it
Got the New Balance 1080 V13 based of a previous video and I am glad I did. I used them while on vacation in Antigua, Guatemala. The roads and sidewalks there are pretty tough on your feet if you aren’t used to it. I did a lot of walking around and at the end of the day my feet didn’t feel tired like with other shoes I’ve worn there before. Thanks for the recommendation. Will probably get another pair once these wear out.
I’ve owned all pairs illustrated on your video. For me, the Nimbus is my go-to. They feel very different from the rest and are so comfortable for walking and recovery runs.
I've been using my 1080v13's daily for a few weeks now (coming from the nimbus 25) and I must say my feet NEVER hurt anymore. I've done miles of walking, they've been to several concerts and 1 music festival, and I use them everyday for work. I honestly beat them up and my midsoles are showing wear and tear (due to the nature of my work) However, the uppers still look brand new. Just thought I'd chime in on the topic of the engineered mesh part of the video.
Just the note on the Nimbus 25 and the gel; this shoe only has the gel in the rearfoot, nothing on the forefoot. I do feel what you are feeling in the forefoot though, it does feel like there’s a wedge of sort there. Got them and the 1080 v13’s and liking the 13’s more, love how it’s lighter and bit more smoother in transition from heel to toe… and that softness combined with the light bounce is awesome! Almost feels like the original invincible run with bit less bounce.
I have the 1080V13 and Asics and the 1080s are amazing. I preface this of course with everyone's foot, likes/dislikes will of course be different. Pros for the NB are lightweight, plushhhh, very comfortable inner. And while not the most breathable, much more so than the Asics. Only con is stability is not the best. Asics pros, inner is stupid comfortable (IMO), midsole has even more plushness than NB but less energy return. Cons: lack of breathability, heal counter is hit or miss. For me it rubbed my achilles. Feels much heavier than the NB. I'd give the NB a 9/10 and the Nimbus 7.5/10. Both are great shoes, just my funky foot likes the NB more.
Hi, i am from Brazil, so excuse my english. I bought the Nimbus 25 and then i returned it, because it has like some hard heel clips on the sides that hurted my feet on the ankles, you can feel them by putting your hands in there. I bought the New Balance 1080 V13 and felt much better, for me it was the best confort shoe i've tried. I love your videos, congrats.
I think you meant Nike Invincible 3. As the Infinity have React and no way React can compete against ZoomX. Not to mention Infinity is now on version 4, but even ReactX can’t compete against ZoomX.
@@stonerc27 Have you worn the NIKE Invincible 3? I am dying to try it on. I have had a hard time deciding between these 3. I feel the NB 1080v13 is over priced (in this company), however - granted the Nimbus 25 is an older model now the 30 has come out, but its better than the 30 in softness stakes. I think ASCIS will regret getting rid of the 25.
@@Revelation1316 By 30 do you mean the Kayano 30? Invincible 1&2 beat the Invincible 3 in terms of upper and midsole, and both are squishier than the Nimbus 25. The 1080v13 would be squishy comfort similar to Invincible Run 1&2. Nimbus is cushiony but not a lot of squish like 1080v13, but has really good absorbing protection. Nimbus 26 is out now, with different looking midsole.
When I tried Invincibles, the upper was just artificial, stiff material. I need to try how is the upper of Vomeros. As for the traction, the outsole seems decent, best of these three, but Nike rubber has opinion of being slippery on wet. Meanwhile Asics AHAR+ has very good traction and durability, so this shoe may give you most miles for your bucks. For my feet, the Nimbus feel just great. But I intend to use them both for walking where I want as soft heel as possible and for running, where I land on the forefoot. Nimbus 25 no longer has the gel in the forefoot, so I'm not sure what you are feeling. But it has visibly more foam on the forefoot than Vomero. 1080 may be more comfy, but actually it is Fresh Foam More, which is the competition for Nimbus. Just as you say, it may be the new Novablast which should be in this comparison. The only problem I have with Nimbus is irritating bending of toe protection, when I step on my toes too much. I miss the socklike upper of OG Ultraboost.
Yes I have the dark blue 1080 v13s and they are my favorite New Balance shoe to Date even over the super comp trainer v1 and v2 and I can not wait for the next max cushion shoe I hope they make the more v5 with this same material because I will buy every color way in the line up! I have all these shoes in the description except the Nike Vomero 17 But I do have the Nike Invincible run 2 and 3 and I still like the New Balance 1080 v 13 better by a long shot.
Thats a great comparison, this is exactly the reason why i come to your channel. Sneakerhead reviewers only review bricks and its getting boring now. Real sneakerheads would wear the most comfy sneakers day to day lives. And only you got the brains and experience as well as great comparison videos on youtube. Keep up the great work brother 🎉😊
I agree. I've read and watch scores of reviews and that seems consistent, with the exception of the NIKE invincible 3 or so I'm told. Nimbus 25 is also the overall best shoe and its selling out like hotcakes!
I have the 1080 more v4s and the gel nimbus25s too and those are both my fav shoes ever and my go to all the time. They’re super comfy for standing and walking all day. I have a question: Are the 1080s u have here more squishier feeling than the more V4s? I feel like the gel nimbus25 feels a tiny bit more squishier than the more V4 but barely.
So what shoe from the last year would you say is the best? You've got me looking at all three of these models, but I don't need another pair of shoes. I am willing to buy the most game-changing, crazy comfortable shoes to come out in the last year. What should I buy? By the way, it's a little out of your lane, but the Nike GT Jump 2 is the most different underfoot basketball shoe I've ever worn. I'd be curious what you'd think if you compared them to another model. You could speak to the greatest squish in basketball shoes.
I would like to see a comparo between 1080v13 and the Fresh Foam X More V4 please? My priorities you may wish to include are neutral unsupported (dampening impact only for fast walking) softness and width I need a very wide shoe 4E min. Also suggest if shoe can be a daily wearer or if more firmness/ reboud is needed and what models please. Currently wear NB 624's in 6E/ 10.5 and need softer higher drop due to pain.
I run 1-3x/week and even though new balance 1080v13 is my top pick, i went for the nimbus 25 just because it was cheaper (curently still in sale on asics/footlocker)
I am absolutely praying for a New Balance Fresh Foam X More V 5 ( YES I DO HAVE A PAIR OF THE MORE V4S!)in this same midsole and cushion as this new 1080 v 13! It may very well be my all time Favorite shoe!! Don't get me wrong I love my Super Comp Trainer V1 and V2 but my squishy ran out way to fast on the v2s and my v1s are still going strong, but I do love this new v13 of the 1080 I do have some slip on 1080 v12s and still these 13'S are way better!
I appreciated this. Is the More V4 more softer that the 1080v13? Which shoes has more softness toward the front of the forefoot? Which shoe is wider in the tow box area please?
Was really curious to know more about how the spring back/bounce of the Invincible 4s compare to the Vomeros. I'm still using a pair of bouncy Invincible 2's for walking my dog, and it's about time to get some replacements. I might give the Vomeros a try on, but I'm definitely way more curious about what Nike has to offer re the Invincible 4s. Also, I bought a pair of Nimbus 25s before I left overseas, and while they're super comfy, I don't enjoy dog walking in them...the soft sinking feeling just doesn't give me the encouraging bounce I'm looking for when walking my pup.
For heel pain you need a high stack on the heel and the heel must be higher than the toe. Which means a good drop. I know the 860 and the Vongo are for stability which caters more for flatter arched over pronators. That leaves the 880 and 1080 for the opposite, which is arched and for supinators, which is better with neutral, highly cushioned shoes. I suggest you give it a fit and a try in a shoe store before you jump into buying one.
I’ve tried on the ASICS nimbus 25 a few times now expecting to enjoy them - it’s just not a great fit. Now I’m wearing the 1080v13 - I take a US13 in a 2e width. I have a big wide fat foot so if a shoe doesn’t fit me well it’s likely the foot and not the fit. Particularly a shoe like the gel nimbus which is working for many people very well - but the 1080v13 for me is the best shoe I’ve tried by a mile. Soft wide light comfy supportive it’s everything. If there’s anyone who still hasn’t tried them and you are really wondering if the new fresh foam is actually softer and lighter - it is. The 1080v13 murders the v12 and the more v4. If you are after a shoe squishy light comfy shoe for walking big guys like me give ‘em a try.
I really want the 1080 v13, but visually it's such a step down from the v12 in my opinion that I'm struggling to order some. I do have the Vomeros delivering tomorrow, and I can't wait. The new Nimbus 26 looks a lot better than the 25, so those will probably get scooped, too.
Having owned 2 pairs of 1080 v12s as my daily walking shoe, I was disappointed by the boring looks of the v13s and ended up buying another colorway of the V12s at a nice discount.
Personally I found the shoes being extremely dirty hard to watch mostly the nike section. I understand you actually wear them and how dirty the foam can get but overall makes the video look unprofessional if that makes any sense.
Thanks for watching! Let me know if there are any other comfortable sneakers i need to try before the end of the year!
still waiting on the asics metaspeed edge+ (the Goat) (island blue , orangepop colorway is clean)
Still waiting for the Kayano 30 review!

Used the 1080v13 for a vacation at DisneyWorld during Thanksgiving long weekend. Came out of that like a beast. If that says anything.
Vomero 17 better or invincible 3 ? For everyday casual wear
I have the 1080v13 and the comfort is unreal. Best casual shoes ever
