I auditioned both these shoes few weeks back. I honestly felt underwhelmed with the INV-3. There is more gap/space in the front and feels bit more roomy compared to same size VM-17s(UK 10). The VM-17s on the other hand felt very plush and "Huggy" like your feet were inside a nice cushiony cocoon. The Vaporfly 3 was awesome as well, but I was happy to pay less and get 80% of the same feeling in VM-17s. Nike really has been making fantastic shoes in the last decade.
I think the invincible run 3 is a great shoe with phenomenal heel slippage, I have a skinny heel and I have to use the runners knot and have them super tight for it to not slip, causing my feet to fall asleep from the tightness
thanks a lot. I have both in my basket and I was wondering which one to keep. I am def going for Vomero. I love my Zoom Fly 5 but needed shoes for my easy runs. Thanks again
Is the Nimbus 25 good as a pure "recovery day" shoe? For steady runs and long runs I use Endorphin Speed 3, but when my Invincible V2 need replacing I'm not sure what to get, as I've heard many are disappointed with V3 😢
@@rossfripp4503 the Nimbus is great for recovery runs, they have exceeded my expectations! I did a 20 miler in them yesterday. Don't waste your money on the Invincible 3's.
Im also liking my Invincible 1, but the zoomx foam got a bit tired after 2.5 years of use, so I ordered a pair of Invincible 2 - got lucky to finally find my size. Glad I watched the videos about v3 and didn't order immediately upon launch - it does look good aesthetically-wise, so I bet a lot of people gave in to temptation and were disappointed to find out that v3 has lost the Invincible magic. They say big changes in shoe lines happen in cycles of 2, so we probably won't see another major change in the series until the v5.
I had 2 pairs of Invincible V1 and I'm not too far off needing to replace my V2 now. I only use them for recovery/very easy days....not even steady days. What other shoe do you think offers a similar level of bounce, softness and comfort without feeling too big and cumbersome, if the V3 is not that good? What about the Gel-Nimbus 25? Would love your thoughts guys (and girl!).
I had put in about 250km in the Invincible V2, and then got the Asics Nimbus 25. I've since put on about about another 150km in the Invincible V2 but the Nimbus is already at 350km. I just find the Invincible is just too "big", so other than shuffling recovery days I tend to grab the Nimbus 25 over it for everything else. It's nearly as cushioned, has much better range of paces (for me) and feels better in the latter stages of a 30'ish KM run, where the Invincible I can definitely tell my feet are working when I've put in a 25+KM run in them. If I'm doing a long run with race specific paces injected, then it's the Tempo Next% every damn time. I'm gonna cry when I can no longer get my hands on that shoe...
Interesting thoughts. I like the Invincible V2 but have heard numerous reports saying V3 isn't as good in many respects. It is purely a recovery day shoe for me, but I don't want a shoe that feels big and cumbersome, but I do want it very soft and springy. I wonder which shoe I should get next when my V2 need replacing......?
Tempo Next% is the best shoe for the $ when pushing pace beyond 7:30 min/mile, but it is the worst shoe ever at slower paces. Really a one show poney. If thats what you want then it fills the niche well. I had three pairs and wont get any more because they kill my knee unless I am really moving.
@@LB-lz1ks Retired my 1st pair of Tempo's at 1,000km, after I started to wear through the forefoot rubber near the pods and didn't wanna chance a pod rupture during a run. I have no idea why I seem to respond so well to the Tempo Next%, my guess is at the slower paces the React foam in the heel keeps the stability. But when you are moving and landing on those pods, it's pure magic. Very much in love with the AF V3, so hoping a Tempo V2 comes out with the similar midsole profile.
The invincible 3 is the first shoe iv ever returned. It sucks. Mine also came with a defect missing some cushion around the ankle but that aside… don’t like it
I disliked the Vomero. I found it’s an all midfoot shoe and sucks the energy away from the toe off. It’s like Nike didn’t design the mid to toe transition well.
The question is why would you. The invincible sucks all the life out your run. Soft but for me nothing back. Much better shoes available that do the same, at a similar price by different brands 😮
Maybe the darker color ones will look better... but main issue with Vomero 16 and past ones was the zoom air pockets that would point out the sole of my foot or even dance around while running... LoL! had to return mine because of this so probably in this new version they fixed making it a better option! But still with this price range you can get better options with Asics and New Balance.
Great comparison. Can’t wait to get my hands on the Vomero 17

I'm surprised you haven't had Jane on this video as she is well known for being an Invincible fan. Her views would be interesting.
Loved the Invincible 1 and 2, but the 3 is definitely a let down. For me, the Nimbus 25 fills this spot perfectly!

Nice! I am excited to try out the 17s. Now we need a comparison between the 16s and 17s

The heel on the Invincible 1 fits me perfectly. Seems like they ruined it on version 3.
Superblast killing these shoes right now.
How is Asics able to make a shoe of 238g while Nike is at 310g ?
To be fair these are daily trainers. I personally would only use the superblast for speedier long runs

Any chance of doing an update on the best chest & optical Heart Rate Monitors? Thanks

Nice shoes
As a massive fan of the invincible v1 and v2 the invincible run v3 absolutely sucks

I love the Vomeros but the colours are always so drab

How were people complaining last year about how the 16 looked? The 17 looks ugly AF

I bought the invincible. Very disappointed. It's a bad shoe in my opinion.
