such a legend. few years back we did 3 shows in 3 days around the UK with him and drove him between shows. he is a real gem of a guy - one of the nicest people in the industry in fact. great to see this broken down and his workflow ❤
Excellent breakdown! Coming away with quite a few good tips and bits of inspiration. DJ Boring always comes off as such a friendly, humble, lighthearted, and down to earth kind of dude.
DJ Boring thanks for teaching me how to use Ableton! I really made great use of the skills that you taught me... I'd love to send you some tracks of mine soon!!!
Plenty of successful producers get by on just having a good musical intuition and commitment to actually finishing their tunes. I love sound synthesis and music theory etc, but fully acknowledge that most people more successful than me don't emphasise these qualities at all.
You know what i m always hoping to hear from Pros? Something like "Look at this shitty Ableton interface, how it handles several automation lines... how it doesnt have bounce in place... how it has no slice tool for midi notes ..... lets all make a petition so the developers adress the top 20 Feature requests in the Beta Forum.. , which they havent Adressed since 5-10 years.." + i absolutely love Winona by Dj boring
What other tracks do you want to see broken down?
Dam Swindle's new track, 'More Love', is an absolute belter. Or, 'Minnoch', by Hunee
Some old style pop songs(Britney Spears, Rihanna) or Craig David.

"I've made so many accidents" - DJ Boring, 2022
dj many accidents
the only essentially thing to learn right here is that you need nothing but an idea and a computer. and don't mean that in a bad way. nice.

Ahhhh, producer language.... "du du duhhhh" personally it sounds more like a " wa wa wahhhh" to me when the filter opens up
Sample pack, plug-in, sample pack, accident, plug-in, plug-in, sample pack
