      ....explains why no visual vapours on the participant's exhales are permitted. I suppose a land marathon run with a hundred partcipants stitched 'in' would even be possible! (....shhhh).

      It would be 1000x harder to fake than a moon landing with all the different cameras including livestreams and 24/7 chest cam on Jeran. Trying to claim it's fake is cope and will never have any truth to it. Just cope by finding a reason to fit the 24 hour sun into your mythology model

    This is exactly what you need if you want to make the world believe that 24-hour sunshine is possible in Antarctica !!!

    Wondering what pixel pitch did they end up using. 😊 2.8mm was used for the Mandalorian LED videowall panels.

  • @cjplay2
    @cjplay2 2 года назад

    Does the panels have true full-white, or are the LED's 3-color RGB and no White backlight?

    • @JamesKaudewitz
      @JamesKaudewitz 2 года назад +1

      the tech u speak of will be coming this year likely, but the panels they're using are RGB

    Very very cool, and besides making it potentially easier for post to work with, it also helps immerse actors with their environment instead of being surrounded by a green wall with tape everywhere

    I wonder how much a setup like this cost (workstations to run everything included)?

    • @CalebHoernschemeyer
      @CalebHoernschemeyer 11 месяцев назад +1

      Usually a basic package is close to 1M for a hands-off install, probably 500K for a decent LED wall, Tracking system, lens encoding system, rendering machines, editor machines, and labor.
      For a setup like this, probably crosses 12M between ROE panels, the intense rendering and editing machines, and the highly skilled labor needed to set it up.
      For this reason, I tell people to not chase features and technology in a virtual production studio, but chase stability and a good foundation to build upon, good technicians, and good business people.
      If customers want amazon technology, they will just go to amazon. If they want a solid shoot at a fair price point (still hugely profitable) thats where your business comes in.
      Experience: $20k down the drain attempting to start my own; thats a lot to me, and probably a single week to Amazon studios.

      Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a comprehensive and insightful response. I've decided to continue with the traditional compositing workflow for now, until the technology advances to become more accessible to the average consumer.
