I thought I answered the platform question 9 months ago when I took a break from Java Edition to play all the way through Minecraft Bedrock Edition, from Spawn to Dragon Fight. But many people say I haven't seen the biggest difference between the two. So after SO. MANY. COMMENTS. I am here as a Minecraft Java Edition player to fight The Bedrock Edition Wither to find out if it is really that bad.

It used to be that you would get the Wither effect forever even on Normal difficulty. The prevailing strategy ends up abandoning the use of potions and just carrying Milk buckets. Add that to the Wither having double the health and your game lagging from all the broken blocks, and you can see why people fear the Bedrock Wither.
Yet mojang won't fix it with a parity update.

I thought both versions experienced that, thats why I hate them more than blaze and wither skeleton.
Especially when they're in small groups omfg- they literally just hit you and make you bounce all over, it's literally an instant death or life situation.
When I first tried to fight the Wither, I was unaware that Java and Bedrock had different mechanics. Because of this, I tried to fight the Wither underground like in everyone’s guides. This is where the difficulty comes in, as the Bedrock slaughters you up close due to withering. I think the reason that bedrock is considered harder is because they are treated as the same boss, with the same strategies.
Lmao, sometime ago me and my friend attempted to beat the bedrock wither underground on his smp. When we both died, the thing went up to the surface and absolutely destroyed our town.

I did it in the nether's underground, such a mistake, even with potions, gapples, full protection 4 armour and a sharpness 5 sword, I died at the end of the fight due the lag of dropped itens and lava

They actually nerfed the bedrock wither in one of the minor updates after 1.16 I think. Essentially, there was a bug that caused the wither effect to ignore the protection enchantment on your armor, so prot 4 was basically useless.

Only time I fought the wither on bedrock was before that so I guess Im just a pro 😎 I don't think I even had enchanted armor in that world yet just plain diamond maybe even some iron armor

@@hyxlo_ I used to be a very casual minecraft player until I joined some of the SMPs that my friend would host. He would tell me horror stories of times when he and his other friends would fight the wither on hard difficulty. When I first fought it on hard, I had enchanted netherite and an inventory full of potions and milk buckets. There were three of us in total fighting it and it took us a while to kill it. I used up most of my potions and a few totems. It was absolutely crazy. The fact you took it down solo pre-nerf with suboptimal armor is insane.
Playing Bedrock over 2 years makes me understand how Java Edition just hands you the Nether Star and on Bedrock, you’ll end up getting it, but your multiple deaths is all but certain

I play bedrock since alpha version and i kill wither by making farm. But that farm needs to be on the end so you need to kill the dragon first hahahaha

Lets keep in mind that most of us average players don't make specific swords with smite for the wither, we all mainly just use sharpness

@@Icybubba if i am gonna install Bedrock Wither mod for my Java modpack,then Smite Enchantment would be slightly better than Sharpness because tons of undead mobs.
Try Spartan Weaponry Netherite Greatsword enchanted with Smite V with Artifacts acessories(+melee speed and +4 melee damage)
The only question if i will stay alive enough to shred Bedrock Wither before he shreds me.
Bro i'm on ps4 and i beated it easily with power IV bow and Sharpness V netherite sword, the rest of the armor was like peojectile protection IV, Protection 3 and 2 and blast resistence I
on bedrock my sword has smite V and my axe has sharpness V. the sword is instant kill for whatever smite is for and the axe actually does more damage to other creatures and pillagers
Part of the issue, is that Java has better Regeneration mechanics. You heal faster when your saturation is full in Java vs Bedrock.
On Java you have the quick healing which is why the bedrock wither effect is so dangerous, also bedrock bows have less drop so they're technically more accurate but a change in the drop like that can be devastating to a player who's used to Java bows.
The funniest part is that Bedrock servers have the bow drop.
One thing I like about bedrock is the enchanted golden apples, they actually give regeneration 5 instead of 2 like on Java. But I would say it makes up for the slow regeneration when having full hunger?
About the cooked beef...
It was "cooked beef" before Java changed it to "steak"... Bedrock keeps the old name
Also fighting bedrock wither solo is best done in End main island... All you need other than surviving the whole thing is drop its HP to half.. once it's half, you can just ran around and watch it die from endermen it aggroed

In java commands trying to /give yourself steak you still need to input 'cooked_beef'

When they redesigned the bedrock wither they wanted it to be a proper boss fight. The dragon was often done to easily so Mojang wanted something that would be near impossible to defeat without endgame equipment. Basically expect to die unless you have milk, totems, or a resistance beacon.

Tips to fight the wither:
1: use healing arrows with a power 5 bow. The healing arrows act as harming arrows since the wither is an undead mob
2: fight in the open. This makes block lag at 0, alternatively fight it underground with tile drops off.
3: have overpowered items like totems and full netherite. This makes it way easier to fight.
4: strength and swiftness 2 buffs. This makes defeating the wither pie if you follow all previous tips.
1st tip is helpful but personally instead of going the potion route I just guzzled a ton of milk and I never dipped too low.
Using golden apples btw
bring milk because the wither effect bypasses absorption and protection
regeneration potion helps more than those 2 potion to be honest
Regen is so much better than these potions his 45 seconds of either is insane
So the reason the bedrock wither had such a tough story was there was a bug where the wither would ignore enchants on your gear and tools. It was fixed about a year ago

But milk isn’t that great because it takes up inventory space and takes away any other status effects that someone might want to use, like strength and regen
Sure but personally I find most potion effects outside of the regen/absorption from golden apples equally as not great. Spam clicking with a smite V diamond sword is usually more then enough damage once it's on the ground that strength is unnecessary and since golden apples stack it also helps mitigate the issue you cited with inventory space. Of course if you don't have enough gold apples you could simply go the potion route and use the regen to mitigate the wither damage and simply use milk once the fight is over so your aren't stuck with the wither effect. But that just comes down to how prepared you want to be before you fight it. And if you have enough time and resources even the bedrock wither is child's plays so that's on the person fighting it.
Things to know-
1) people say bedrock wither is more difficult becuz they fight it in a cave. This is a java strat and will almost certainly guarantee death in bedrock.There is no space to move and the charge attack creates insane lag
2) It seemed easier in your case becuz there were so many other mobs around to distract the wither, if you're alone then its just like java(over your shoulders).
3)The sky colour changing is not aesthetic. The light level actually drops to allow undead mobs to spawn but bedrock spawing is cr*p so it doesn't matter.
4) my way to fight wither- in the middle of an ocean with frost walker. open area and no block lag

In fact, if you plan to play in bedrock, the way to do it in a cave is to look for 2x1x2 spaces of bedrock, since you can attack without being affected by the attacks

Honestly, doing this on controller is way harder. As the controller’s sensitivity is stupidly slow (even on max), doing these quick turns to do a hit and run with a bow is very hard, especially when trying to do a 180 turn or just trying to look up.
I think most of the bedrock players generally play on a controller, since there’s console support, hence is why they say it’s hard, and I agree with this. The sensitivity compared to most games is just slow and lazy like. If you beat the Wither on hard + controller without dying, you deserve a congrats.
Edit: It has been long since I’ve commented, but I think my opinion has changed. It is pretty easy killing the Wither, I’ve done it ten times in my survival world (no potions) with the help of maxed Netherite armor, 1 golden apple, a bow, and a Smite V sword. Basically just shoot the Wither till half health and smack it to oblivion with the sword afterwards.

@@KA-vs7nl In my second sentence I stated that even on max, it’s slow. I play every game on high and Minecraft’s “max” sensitivity isn’t anything like most games. It’s not for fast combat. Mojang should either increase the scale from 1-10, or make the sensitivity faster.

Bedrock wither actually has double the health of Java. Also if you're confused about the spam clicking bedrock uses the OG combat from before the combat update cause it was so controversial

The main difference is that you can just trap the Java wither in an underground hole and it will just do nothing, allowing for you to farm nether stars even with iron tools.
I mean, my strategy (on java) is just letting the wither suffocate in the bedrock of the portal in the end. cheesing it, basically. does this work in bedrock too?

Most people on their first wither fight try to fight it underground. This works extremely well on Java edition, but if you try the same thing on Bedrock, everything goes really badly. The wither instantly breaks blocks whenever it takes damage, dropping items that lag your game, and it makes tunnels around itself at different heights that you really can't get around easily. It hides around corners or up in the ceiling where you can't even shoot it with your bow. Sometimes it even uncovers lava that you fall in, or you forget that you're fighting it in a higher burrow it made, and end up falling down to the bottom and getting your stuff blown up after you die, or it falling into lava. I found that fighting it on the surface is many times easier, and that because most Minecraft RUclipsrs play on Java, and recommend fighting it underground, everyone has this collective opinion based on their first few wither fights underground, flashbacks to inventories full of milk buckets, cows in boats in caves getting blown up, losing multiple sets of armour and tools to explosions or lava... Just don't fight it underground.
A fun way I discovered a while back on my SMP is to get a riptide 3 impaling 5 trident, elytra, and about a stack of golden apples, wait for rain, go out into the middle of the ocean, spawn the wither, and literally ram it with your trident repeatedly while eating the golden apples whenever you get blown up. Because it is raining, the impaling 5 on the trident really increases the damage dealt to the wither, because entities in the rain also have impaling applied to them - another thing Bedrock Edition has that java doesn't :)
About the items not dropping from the blocks the wither breaks - This is a great idea, but because Bedrock edition TNT doesn't drop all items from blocks blown up (Yes, we still don't have this on Bedrock), many people use withers in wither cages to break the logs from their wood farm or cobblestone from their generators - Especially with technical farms because the wither can break a huge area around itself, instantly.
That's an awesome strat! Also Impaling is really uselles on Java.

I fight wither in the end, and it helped me clear the obsidian towers, before i kill it with elytra
I fought the Wither underground and ended up with 1 heart at the end of the fight in Java. Tbf though I had relatively normal diamond armor and sharp 4 sword.
My first time fighting the wither on bedrock was underground. The lag was insane, I died multiple times and lost all my stuff. I finally spawned a bunch of iron golems and they did the job, because I couln't move due the lag.
Useful tip for the Bedrock Wither: Anyone who has defeated a Wither already but wants to fight more Withers easily for more Nether Stars, use the 1st beacon you obtain to give yourself the "Resistance II" buff and place it near the area where you are gonna fight the other Wither. This resistance buff paired with a good set of Diamond or Netherite armor will mean the Wither effect is almost completely negated. I was able to easily defeat 2 Withers at the same time using this on Hard difficulty and honestly think it would be possible to even fight 3 or more Withers at the same time if using potions and golden apples during the fight.
As a bedrock player, the bows do more damage the longer you charge. It takes about 1.2 seconds to full charge. And we tend to take the wither into the end, and kill it in the portal frame.

I do agree with the breaking blocks 100%, but as of right now, the wither is our only option for automated block breaking. Since TNT works like creepers, using the wither is our only compromise. It should make it so tnt does drop 100%
Wow that's interesting! So people use it for tree farms and things on bedrock? That'd be pretty cool. Hopefully one day, Microsoft can swap the block breaking functions of the wither and TNT!
@@SwitchBackMongo You can already make a really overpowered obsidian farm with the wither in the end. The wither keeps destroying the towers and is trapped but an automatic contraption will constantly respawn the enderdragon and stop respawning it so the obsidian towers regenerate.

A bow's aim on bedrock edition is actually slightly delayed relative to where your crosshair is.
Its nothing to do with hitboxes or anything, its just there is a glitch causing your aim to be targetting at where your crosshair was a millisecond ago.
This doesnt just affect bows, anything you do that involves moving your mouse will have a delayed target, even mining.
And that's where Bedrock is flawed: It's worse with archery.

Does pausing for a moment after you target help? I know that won't help with the Wither, which constantly moves, but for the End Crystals in the dragon fight it might help some folks to know.

The block breaking thing makes the wither fight impossible for 90% of bedrock players. For people playing on mobile or low end console or pc the game becomes an unplayable slideshow

The wither fight on Bedrock has been rebalanced in 1.19.10. No more cracked wither.
Fun fact, both Minecraft editions have the same wither effect and duration on hard mode, it’s just that the bedrock wither effect ignored the Protection enchantment. If you fight the Java wither without Protection, it’s probably a similar experience as this, except waaaay less fun.
Fighting it with optimal gear will probably makes for a much more similar experience to Java now and if not a considerably easier one.

Tip for the bedrock wither fight, use healing 2 arrows, they do more damage to the wither and you can also shoot em to yourself to heal.
Don't use instant damage bows or potion on undead mobs like zombie, skeleton,wither,husk it will heal them

I'm fairly certain that potions in general last longer on bedrock hard, which is why witches and wither skeletons can be kinda annoying to deal with as well, a witch hits you with poison and you just have to sit there for 30 seconds at half a heart until you heal.

@@breawen hard mode isn't hard, it really only makes poison and wither effect more annoying. The two effects practically force you into a hole for how long they last and how regen is.
Bedrock eating regen takes one second to heal half a heart while poison takes it away, so no point in eating. Java regen quickly heals some hearts after eating, so easier to deal with those status'

Usually bedrock players (me included) are using tactics from Java. Like fighting it underground. That was the worst idea ever:lag, tons of wither skeletons in the same block as you, wither effect, you lose the wither, and if you finally kill him you might not find the nether star.
Lmao I remember while playing on Nintendo Switch I fought the wither underground in my house.
The house was saved but it certainly left a ton of lag and a huge dent in my strip cave mine.
11:00 bedrock bows are powerful they can shoot at long distances so you have to aim the exact hitbox

@@xyzayush0 Bedrock's throwing and shooting distance is much, much farther than Javas. Like, all the end crystals, you're crosshair can be on them and the arrow will hit, where as in Java, you need to do some angle some shots. Also, enderpearls can get you to end island to end island without a block being placed to get you closer to the island, where as in Java, you need to bridge out a bit for the longer chasms. I prefer Bedrock for both of these things, but there's probably some merit to Java's one. I don't know what, but there is probably. Though I am a Bedrock player

Bedrock actually makes the Wither perfect. The With is supposed to be a god of destruction. Java Wither is like a puppy dog, while Bedrock Wither is literally Beerus
Exactly. He should be a force to be reckoned with. He shouldn't try to hug you to death. These features should all be in Java. I really like how he summons Wither skeletons for backup. Like he's calling on his followers.

Yeah i really like the bedrock wither more than the Java one, i'm going to try to beat it on Hardcore Pocket edition, but i'm going to be as overprepared as possible and before fithing it i'm going to practice the fight multiple times in Another world

compared to the rest of minecraft in general, i really like this boss fight!! in the sense that it's an actual boss fight!! i don't play very many games, but modded boss fights like in the twilight forest were always my favorite. a boss that actually emulates a true BOSS fight is super awesome to me.
The thing is, in earlier versions, Protection enchantment didn't reduce the damage caused by Wither effect, making it nearly impossible to make it out alive.
That nerf ruined instant damage potions and arrows, which is disappointing.
I don'r know if you noticed, but Bedrock Wither actually has twice as much health as Java.

The main difference between the wither effects is on Java is Wither I, while on Bedrock its Wither II effect. The best way to handle is to bring Milk buckets instead of a ton of apples.

One thing you did not note during the bedrock wither fight is that you have to pay a lot of attention to the skulls it shoots. It shoots both BLUE and BLACK skulls. A black skull is more common and behaves normally. However, there are also blue skulls. If you get hit by a blue skull, it is wayy worse than if you get hit by black. However, you can also deflect a blue skull back at the wither with your sword, just like a ghast with a fireball, but you can't do that for a black skull.

Things to know
The amount of blocks broken by the wither cause lag, especially when those poor fools use the java strat of fighting it underground
When it reaches half, it explodes AGAIN and can spawn 0-3 wither skeletons
The sky darkens for more undead mobs to spawn, but they don't because bedrock spawns are broken
It was easier for you because there where mobs around to distract it
The rush does insane damage
It shoots 2 different kinds of skulls, the first are back skulls that travel quickly, then there is a blue skull, it travels slow but does double damage, the wither will shoot them in this order; black, black, blue. Over and over again
The skulls can be reflected like ghast fireballs, they wont hurt the wither though
I think you can also hit the blue skulls back to the wither
The biggest problem of Bedrock Edition is it's lack of polish, it has so many great things but it's also extremely rough around the edges.
As a mainly Bedrock player I wish the devs would focus more on making the game more consistent/less buggy than adding new features/new bugs
The only thing that Bedrock has over Java in any way that really matters is official support for modding. Otherwise it’s a version that just feels wrong for anyone whose played MineCraft for a long time.

@@KA-vs7nl Java mods do have far more potential to be good, and often reach that potential, correct, but official support is generally speaking going to mean lower barrier for entry, which, depending on how elitist you are, is either a good or bad thing.
man idk what they did but I play on bedrock and it's almost unplayable sometimes. I get lag spike-type delays when I'm playing on offline singleplayer...I disconnected from the internet and played and it still had these huge delays and audio skips. It's so annoying 🤦♀️
As someone who plays on bedrock, as soon as I saw the title, i knew it wasn’t going to go well
The wither fight in bedrock edition:
1. Upon noticing a player or mob, the wither flies to a random location and hovers in place. It shoots 3 black wither skulls and one blue wither skull before flying to another location. The time between each shot decreases as the wither loses health. On Normal difficulty or higher, if the wither has targeted an entity but cannot find a location to path find to, it shoots random blue skulls in a random direction along with the skulls directed toward the target.
2. At half health, it causes a large explosion that spawns 3-4 wither skeletons (except on Easy difficulty), as well as gaining wither armor. Instead of flying to a random location, it dashes toward its target, destroying blocks and damaging mobs in its path. It also fires up to 4 skulls per burst: three black skulls followed by one blue skull.
3. It has different spawn and death animations, both of which involve the wither exploding. Wither roses always drop as an item when the wither kills a mob. The wither rose inflicts the Wither effect for a couple of seconds when stepped on.
4. The sky light level drops to 11 and dark clouds appear from the moment the wither spawns until it is dead, preventing zombies, skeletons, and drowned from burning in sunlight.
5. On Easy difficulty, the wither does not inflict the wither effect or summon wither skeletons.
I actually love that when the whither breaks blocks they drop of the floor. It makes sand collection a lot less time consuming.

Maybe a good way to fix the lag problem is to make specifically dirt blocks destroyed by the Wither disappear, because those are the ones that become problematic but having it erase everything might be too much, not to mention that players tend to use it for wooden farms and stuff.
Also, I really love the concept of making him spawn wither skeletons. I'd say that should be buffed. Make it do it several times throughout the health bar, in larger amounts each time and with a higher player detection than those naturally spawned to make the player actually have to stop to deal with them before continuing the fight like with classic minion-summoning bosses. Maybe the boss can stop attacking but become invulnerable until you kill all the skeletons?

It would be cool if the wither spawned wither skeletons but then it lands on the ground to heal for 15 seconds or until the player hits it. It would be a good idea to heal the wither and If they toned down the wither effect it would be a balanced fight

It used to be that the wither effect would last for 40 seconds regardless or armour or enchentmants and would kill you in about 20 seconds. They recently fixed the bug that was causing protection to not affect potion effets and might have also nerfed the wither.

If your wondering why it was so easy for him to kill the bedrock Wither is that apparently there is a bug that makes the wither use it’s dash attack Less frequently and focuses on animals rather than the player
yup, If the wither focus on him rather than focuses on the other entities, it'll be so difficult for him to finish the wither so quickly.
MINE IS DOING IT EVERY 2 SECONDS AND HIS WITHERING EFFECT IS A DEATH SENTENCE THAT LASTS 40 SECONDS
Yeah I noticed it didn't summon minions often. I used to have to fight like 6-7 wither skeletons each the he summoned them.

Also most youtubers are java so they recommend fighting the wither in a tunnel underground but this makes it way harder on bedrock edition so everybody has the same consensus because they fought their wither underground
I play on Xbox one s which means bedrock edition and the main reason it gets hard midway through is because of the amount of blocks he breaks. As more and more break the more my game starts to lag until I can’t even turn around.

I love the idea of it deleting blocks instead of breaking them. It gives one more element to your planning phase that needs to be considered, reduces lag, and eliminates the downside of picking up a ton of dirt when trying to recover in your inventory. It would also give the player a sense of permanence to your actions within the game world.
The whole bedrock technical community screams, "NOOO!" ...
It would break alot of wither powered farms. Some of which are very elaborate and can take upwards of 30 hours to build. Since deeplstae can't be insta-mined. I use the wither on java and bedrock to mine it and i like my deepslate.
There's a few things...
• Java's wither is A LOT easier underground (can even be cheesed w/ iron golems)
• Bedrock's wither has more health
• Most bedrock players (from my understanding) are on their phones (touch screen is of course harder than Controller/M&K)
Plus you have the block lag & wither effect that you mentioned in the video
And he was playing on normal difficulty which doesn't have the 600 health Isn't having only 450 health
MCPE wither is pretty easy to fight if you have good armor and golden apples

The main problem I had with the wither on bedrock is when I died (which I did a lot), the wither would destroy my items when dropped. Idk if there’s a setting to change this but it made the fight 99% harder.
It's coz it blows them up, no setting's gonna change that
I just fought Bedrock wither for the first time, and I VASTLY prefer it over Java just because it feels like more of an actual... fight?
The Wither actually has calculated movements and attacks, rather than whatever the hell it does in Java with floating above you and stuff. It feels right. Plus, the ambience of the sky and the wither skeletons it spawns at half health really add to the atmosphere.
The bedrock wither has 2x the health and the wither effect lasts 6x as long so milk is the way to go, especially for pocket edition where the controls aren’t great.
The wither effect back in the day was killer sense it would go through your armor, I can agree its first phase is easier.
Just a quick note: after the update ores spawn sometimes not connect to the ore you see. Just mine around it. It works everytimes for me
For me I tried to use the wither to find ancient debrie and the fact that it didn't go towards you made me lose 6 totems because I kept having the wither affect resulting in the wither healing. There was also a thing that happened when I got it to half health, it just spawned wither skeletons for no reason but I don't know if it's suppose to do that now or not.
On hard mode yeah. If you’ve managed to farm up some bedrock… you can use one wither to infinitely farm stars…

tbh as a Bedrock player, i'd give the Bedrock Edition Wither a 7/10
The only challenging thing is the low frame rate.
It's WAY too overhyped by most people, even though it DOES have 2x the health of the Java Edition Wither which means that the Bedrock Wither has 600 hp.
Tip for Bedrock Edition wither fights :
- bring milk buckets and instant health splash potions
- smite swords are always recommended
- don't fight it near things you care about
- try to bring a flint and steel to burn the items if the frame rate gets too low
- try to find a flat and open area to help dodge the skulls
- if you have the resources, make instant health tipped arrows for extra safety if you want
- never fight it underground, unless you have resistance beacons and fire resistance potions (in case of lava)
- fighting the Wither underground is not recommended because there's a lot of gravel underground
Edit : i have to give some praises for the Java Edition Wither, which is the fact that it can regenerate
yep, I always use my elytra to attack it in the sky, the low frame on my potato tablet It feels like my tablet is burning.
Don’t fight underground if ur on a Xbox ps4 or phone bc the amount of blocks broken makes them lag to much to fight it well
Yea I very much fucked up when fighting the wither, I didn’t think it was going to blow things up so I spawned it near my village 😭 it killed all of my villagers and destroyed my storage house luckily it didn’t destroy my chests otherwise I would’ve lost so much shit. I lost all of my netherite gear except for my pants sword pickaxe and shovel

Seems like a Lava Bucket would work at least as well as burning the items with Flint and Steel. You could set the Lava at the lip of one of the craters and it would flow over everything at the edge and down below. Might flow too slowly too be beneficial, though.
My friend is making a Warhammer Skaven cave network and he tried to use a Wither to dig it out.
2 hours later, we can safely say this is not a wise move.
The bedrock wither takes tons more preparation than its java counterpart, In java itts more meant to be fought right after the dragon, in bedrock you need late game gear and arrows and milk and potions and gapples and ways to dispose of blocks, in conclusion bedrock wither > java wither
Seems to me all you need is iron armor a sword a decent bow and a buncha milk buckets and maybe a potion. And ofc to not suck shit wich is hard for people playing on a controller or on a phone.
That's all you need to kill the wither. The hard part is mostly the lag from the tile entities. Even with full netherite and infinite potions you're still going to die if your game is running at 1 frame every 10 seconds. Tho that was on a realms server so idk how that effects performance. The argument of its easy git gud honestly only works if your hardware doesn't drop 10 frames from the moment the wither spawns lol
@@michaelkent3934 aiming and spamming is easier on pc is my point and ye the lag on bedrock seems nuts hasnt been that bad on java with block drops since the old alpha early beta days before the drop merging stuff got implemented. The second phase is pretty interesting but with how high the dps is on bedrock honestly the fight doesnt really appear much harder. Easier even if you just focus on having like 10-15 milk buckets wich is like half a stack of iron in prep work and 1 cow
The wither on Bedrock is too hard for me, I like easy things, and the one on Java is so easy to trap under bedrock, I just wanna get the nether star as fast as possible, that's why I prefer the one on Java. But for those who like a challenge the Bedrock wither is definitely much better

You can also trap him in BR if you head to the Nether and use the ceiling. You just need blocks placed under him in the right configuration to trap him in place and you've got an easy Nether Star. You can do it on the central End island, too, but the Nether is, of course, faster.

The two things that make the wither so hard on bedrock :
1.)The wither effect being that long changes the strategy from normal a lot,and yes it’s absurd the amount of time
2.)The amount of lag on his melee phase is the WORST thing and if they make it so that it doesn’t drop blocks will ruin a lot of grinding because tnt on bedrock doesn’t drop all the blocks, just the wither so a lot of technical farms use a trapped wither on bedrock(yes there’s also a game for that) it would also hurt if they get rid of that
The main thing about the wither and poison effects that makes them so deadly is the fact that protection doesn’t reduce the damage and healing is slower. On both versions on hard mode the wither is inflicted for 40 seconds, but on bedrock unless you have regeneration/resistance or milk it’s a death sentence

im pretty sure that the 45 seconds isnt the problem. the real problem (which i found out recently) was that the protection enchantment doesnt proctect against things like wither effect
Eh why would an effect same to poison not burn through armor, since wither means decay and armor isn't the one decaying...it's you, the player, not the armor.
Only fire can be protected against among 3 of these "burn" effects:
•Fire
•Poison
•Wither
It's because it does have a protection enchantment (fire protection)
It's best to bring a ton of milk

Not just magma cubes, slimes too. When they split, they sometimes get shunted quite far, and usually in your direction.
As most people, I first played minecraft in the pocket edition, and met the wither mechanics there.
Then I stoped playing for a while, and came back with the Java, by first I didn't know there were different mechanics in it.
I was so confused why it wasn't charging on me😅

Yes, opinions. I had a different experience, whenever me and my team spawned it, immediately we lost a player, not to the explosion, but for pure loss of potions, and there goes my other friend because he got trapped in the explosion hole, and now it’s me and one other person. It was almost scary how fast they died so we decided to get away but we needed their stuff in chests so we went back. THEN the wither proceeds to spawn wither skeletons that steal all of the items so we have 2 diamond/netherite wither skeletons. We did manage to kill the wither and the wither skeletons but maybe multiplayer wither is harder, I don’t know though but nothing was planned at all and I was the only pvp player on the team

Obsidian cage with iron golems make it super easy. If you want wither roses, spawn in chickens using they're eggs first.
Difference with Bedrock:
-2x HP
-Dash Ability
-Longer Wither Effect
-Spawns Wither Skeletons in 2nd Phase

Java players typically use the underground long hallway method for killing the Wither the first time they play it. The Wither's Charge just renders that method unviable. Fighting it on the plains is probably the best method. And I've seen some do it in the water

i hope you don't get as much hate with this video as the other one, people took you wayyy to seriously. I played bedrock my whole life but when i switched to java i was blown away about how fun it was. I will say though, bedrock is more fun with friends because it is less grindy, but for making a cool world java is better.

Wow those frames you got in the wither fight were pretty good. Whenever I play Minecraft on the lowest render distance with the lowest graphics setting and no other programs open on my laptop I get about 5 fps sometimes 1 fps.

the boss goes like 50mph, faster than someone with fireworks and an elytra, and is firing four shots in a row at you, only one of which can be deflected like a ghast charge.
i think the boss's movement and the destruction of blocks are what makes the wither so much stronger in bedrock, because my go-to strategy of trapping him in an underground tunnel just doesn't work; he makes it into his own cavern because he's so explodey
One thing a lot of bedrock youtubers tell you is to fight him in your strip mines so he's contained a little, that wouldve helped with the shots, but at the same time the amount of blocks he can break becomes a bigger problem. That block lag is ultimately, imo, the worst part of bedrock wither... as usual though, sick editing! Great video!

an idea for the bedrock edition wither: fight the wither on the ocean with frost walker 2 boots. it doesnt lag you to death and you can jump sprint around pretty fast
I did that, popped three totems and lost one of my netherite sets..
But that was before I knew anything about the difference between the wither on Bedrock/Java. Now I just use slow falling + riptide during rain to just fly into that deadly bastard and slowly wittle away with a trident and sword.
May want to fight it again as protection now blocks agenst withering on bedrock. Also as a bedrock player the main difficulty off the wither was the withering and (still is) the lag it causes from breaking so many blocks and where as you experienced a small bit off lag someone on phone/tablet or console would basically be frozen in place

actually,it's the second phase,he charges around 20 blocks at best,does shockwaves,spawns wither skeletons by ground pounding to the ground making a creeper crater (and the ground pound damages you of course) and the fact that unlike with the ender dragon,the death animation's explosion actually damages you.
Actually bedrock bows are more accurate than java ones so when youre from java and use bedrock bows you arent used to it being like that so its hard to use.
They’re not really more accurate, they shoot straighter but the realistic gravity and trajectory makes more sense since our minds automatically calculate physics as if it’s real life

About the wither effect, it is actully fair for it to be 45 seconds but there is a bug where the wither effect effects you as if you dont have prot 4. If the bug was fixed then with maxed prot 4 you would take about 0-0.5 hearts a wither effect tick. With regen it will be fully countered
Potion effects aren't effected by protection at all, not a bug
@@crzjt I don't know if it actually is a bug, but that's not the case on java. Full prot IV on java practically negates poison and wither, but the effects ignore all armor in bedrock. This is coming from someone who has consistently played both versions for the past 9-10 years.
My favorite bedrock wither experience is when me and my friends fought 15 withers one after another. To minimize damage to our world we fought them on the main End island. Whenever the wither did it’s charge attack it dug about 50 blocks down. We disided yo move the fight there after about 2 in a kill chamber at the top of the nether. During the second fight the wither got hit in the corner and broke 3 layers of obsidian and then broke through the netherack into the open space. Idk if it was a glitch or just the bedrock gods dooming us.

The bows are hard to use but like with many other things it takes practice but once you get it down it becomes really easy
Another reason people say it's pretty tough because they usually fight it in tight caves down below or up in the Nether ceiling.
When i fought it, it spawned like 3 or 4 wither skeletons. Idk if they took that away, but i vividly remember this

@@DamslettesSIMP The obsidian is somewhat strong enough to withstand the charge, you just need to make a 4 block tall box and probably an 8 block thick walls around the thing.

Bedrock's Wither isn't hard because it requires skill to defeat it, its just because of bad game design. You can't really play it smart and avoid getting the wither effect, its just impossible. A harder boss ≠ better boss, and that is the case with Bedrock as well, its not harder, its more annoying

I like the attacks and phases more of bedrock since they are harder, but I feel like it should be the opposite so Java players get the slightly buffed up wither since it's hard to play on bedrock ESPECIALLY if you play on mobile or console
