- In this video, I will beat Hardcore Minecraft in a New World... But I won't kill anything.
While mob combat is usually an integral part of a player's ability to survive Hardcore Minecraft, I wanted to challenge myself to complete the game without fighting at all. In theory, it should be relatively easy as there are only two mobs that HAVE to be killed to reach the end credits, but this challenge required me to rethink the game through every section of the game.
Can I survive with defense as my only weapon? They do say it's the best offense...

Hardcore Minecraft is the most challenging difficulty. Where monsters like zombies and creepers not only spawn more often, but they do more damage as well. On top of that, you are only given one life, and if you die, you lose your world forever.
Hardcore Minecraft But... I can't kill anything... It's the Mumbo Jumbo "Peace, Love, and Plants" from HermitCraft Season 8 but in Hardcore Minecraft meaning it is more dangerous, everything has to be done myself, and of course, I cannot die...

Five minutes into the game and I forget what I'm doing. Pretty much how every Minecraft session goes for me 🤣
This reminds me of mumbo-jumbo in season eight of hermit craft. He wasn’t allowed to kill mobs, he had to build an entire blaze rod from using that dog mechanic.
Minecraft hardcore but every time you take damage, you have to throw away 1 slot of your inventory
for example if you have 34 cobblestone in a slot, you have to throw all of it away in that slot.
The amount of effort and patience! My goodness! I sometimes ragequit when I misplace a block..
I’m hoping you have more challenges in line because I’ve loved them so far!
It's been a fun test of skill! I've been really enjoying them! We are definitely mixing more into the channel!
I remember doing a “no attacking” challenge run a few months ago. Not in hardcore though, kudos to that, I know that’s very difficult.
I had this idea for months in my mind, glad someone is finally doing it
I forgot how OP villagers were. Ahaha. Well at least the weaponsmith, toolsmith, and armorer. Also from the temples, bones can be used for taming, and rotten flesh can be used to feed them. Also with this challenge you could have made a mob farm. Or at least have a spot in a cave or a dungeon that can be used to farm mobs. Thank you by the way! I think your videos are more of the strategy and taking time and using all possible strategies to do stuff, I don’t know some of those things that you do that are different then regular stuff. I might actually try to do this on Bedrock edition on Xbox 😂 this looks so fun and complicated

beating the game in hardcore without making the achievement Sweet Dream or Monster Hunter.
'I'm just placing two blocks one atop the other'.
'I'm just swinging my sword that just so happens to be hitting entities'.
the important part is the game doesn't attribute the explosion to him since it as activated by the redstone block instead of him directly lighting it. also useful if you want to blow up villagers houses with no consequences
Getting pearls from the cleric and the dogs fighting the blazes was extremely clever! I love the vid i'll try this challenge for myself sometime

You can use fire res on snow golems to help them live a little longer. Of course they still get absolutely owned if they come into melee range, and they still don't cause rods to drop.
I loved it. Great work. Is there a way to kill the dragon other than that though? It felt like lighting the TNT at the end went against not actively murdering mobs
Not really. You need a redstone contraption or beds to be able to kill it. Either requires player input. I instantly knew that rule was gonna be weird because it's all up to interpretation in what counts as players actively killing. You can easily count redstone contraptions as actively killing if you want.

I love this type of content- also what fabric mods do you use, specifically to remove nether fog?
I'm glad you enjoyed it! The mod is just called "no fog" but it also requires a second mod called indium to run 🙂 other than that I run sodium, connected textures (glass), iris (shaders), OK Zoomer, and replay mod. I pretty much just try to get all the features of optifine with sodium 😂

He wouldnt be able to beat the game, cant leave the biome and strongholds spawn thousands of blocks away

But maybe he could find the biome which has the portal and start from there.
@@milkwrld5711 if the game fails to spawn you (e.g you spawn in an ocean) then the game will attempt to spawn you somewhere else, and the range is higher and so u can spawn ON TOP of a stronghold.

We've actually done this in the all advancements video 😀 we had to kill every mob to get the "monsters hunted" advancement, it was certainly challenging

This is a creative video that is uncommon and is readily appreciated.
I know you can connect nether portals if they're close on Z and X, I think even if they're far on Y. I might be wrong but if I'm not, it means you could just build a portal above these flooded caves and destroy the one underground
That confused me for a second, since I'm used to Z being up/down.

Only hard part is obtaining the skulls. Gotta use dogs again, and the drop rate is so low, you will be at it for a long time healing and breeding the dogs. But for the wither, just squish it under the end portal.

I feel like placing TNT on redstone doesn’t count as hands clean any more than just trying to sleep in the wrong dimension does.
Could you have done this with a whole bunch of iron golems or something?
(Apparently iron golems don’t attack the dragon. But I think zoglins do, and maybe Johnny)
