the crafting recipe for boats was changed to match java, same thing for barrels. crouching under slabs was now added as well as crawling as an experimental feature.
I was transporting a villager to my iron farm just yesterday, and my boat got lost. I needed a new boat, and I vividly remember having to craft a shovel first.
The dyed water has another cool feature. By using different dye on a single cauldron you can create color code combinations that arent normally possible.
It does look really cool but it makes it hard to dye leather armour. Since that’s normally armour I get at the start, I don’t have a cauldron and a bucket with me.
The reason bedrock doesn’t have hardcore is because there are a lot of bugs where you just die randomly. For example there is a bug (idk how it works) where you will randomly take a ton of all damage and just die. If that happened on a hardcore world it would be really dumb
Another thing us bedrock players have over Java: early tipped arrows. Put a few potions of desired effect into a cauldron, then, when it's full, grab a stack of arrows and click whatever button would use an item, charge and fire a bow, etc. Then you have a stack of tipped arrows.
In bedrock if you see a drowned with a trident and drop a nautilus shell near it it will always drop the trident and pick up the shell, then you can kill it and get the shell back
Shulkers are only dyeable in creative mode, java also has this but only using commands. You CAN get pufferfish and tropical fish from fishing, don't know where that came from A few extra big(ish)differences, players riding boats in bedrock still take fall damage, and caldrons not only hold dyable water but also potions, which can be used to cheaply make tipped arrows (3 potions in the caldron can tip 64 arrows). For some reason people care more about dyed water than potion caldrons when making these videos, when cheap tipped arrows can be very useful, especially for fighting a harder wither using instant health 2 arrows + power 5
The reason for hardcore not being in bedrock is very likely because of the random fall damage glitches or other glitches where you just die for no reason randomly. Instead of fixing that they just didn't add hardcore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Once, I fell off a cliff on my first day of my Minecraft world. Then, I entered the nether and died of that fall damage. I got the spawn where I’m floating over a lava lake. All of my iron and diamond gear burned.
6:24 it isn't true, you can actually get tropical and puffer fish with the fishing metod in bedrock edition (if i'm wrong, my fellow bedrock players, tell me)
There are also differences in enchantments between bedrock and Java. In bedrock each level of sharpness adds 1 damage so you add up to 5 damage on one sword where as Java can only add 3 damage with a sharpness 5 book.
shields are pretty annoying to use early game on bedrock because of crouching, especially if you are fighting a ranged mob like skeletons with godlike aim but 1.19 added swift sneak so its not as bad anymore infact you could even sprint while crouching
When I migrated from bedrock to java I was so confused on why J couldn't bone meal sugarcanes and cactuses, and now looking at this video It seems that there are a lot of differences
You forgot to make the bedrock armor stand dance by crouching and clicking on it And you can mix colors in the water in the cauldron to make different colors
I think part of the reason bedrock doesnt have hardcore mode is that bedrock has the tendency to randomly kill players, never had it happen to me but ive seen it happen. Also, it's entirely possible to play java minecraft on phones, I even have rlcraft running on my phone with a render distance of 7 or 8 at 60 or so fps.
It happened to me once when I was playing in my Nintendo Switch, I pressed the home button and went to the bathroom, and when I loaded the game back up it suddenly just drained all my health and killed me :/
in bedrock we take fall damage while riding boats. But oddly enough, if you are riding a horse you can't take fall damage. in java you have a ton of overpowered farms that can't work in bedrock ( i think that is a pretty huge thing you forgot to mention)
You can also get tipped arrows without dragons breath in bedrock 😊you just need to make the potion and put it in a cauldron if you put 3 pots in a cauldron you get 64 tipped arrows if that potion effect
The fire aspect thing is really cool. It makes some sense too Edit: a big difference between bedrock and java is the multiplayer. Friends can just join on bedrock but on java you need to either make a server or pay for realms
There are alot more differences you didn't mention Like the impaling enchantmet working differently, not being able to place blocks on the nether roof in bedrock, most of the redstone system and alot more
Speaking of Redstone. Bedrock's trident killer is amazing. Auto killing for xp and looting 3. It also doesn't use any of the durability for the trident when killing mobs with a trident killer machine.
Tbh, for all the inconsistencies, and the debate about which is better, I still got Realms for Bedrock because most of my friends were on console. That's one thing Bedrock has, crossplay.
5:22 bedrock users can also have this by just adding resource packs to see chunks or the durability on a tool, and for the fishin you can get pufferfish and tropical fish
THANK YOU SIR!!! Most of the time when people talk about the differences they only include the cons of Bedrock, you including mostly pros and some cons. And I have subbed for that
Hey I really like your video and I think you should make a part 2 for it covering the more technical side of minecraft like how redstone command blocks and third party features (like resource packs and datapacks) work differently in both versions!
On bedrock edition, you can actually change the pose of the armor stand, which is pretty cool. For example, you can actually make the armor stand dab. You can also have potion cauldrons which can make cheap tipped arrows. Fishing in bedrock edition can give you pufferfish and tropical fish, I have gotten a few of those in my bedrock world. You just need to fish in the jungle. Speaking of fishing, Bedrock players has a 1/2 a second to reel the rod once it has caught something, while in Java, you have 1-2 seconds. Additionally, drop rates are very slightly different when you fish. I'm also very surprised that you didn't mention this, but enchanted golden apples in Bedrock Edition are SIGNIFICANTLY better than the ones in Java. In Java edition, enchanted golden apples gives Regeneration II for only 20 seconds, which can heal 16 points of damage (8 hearts), while in Bedrock, you get Regeneration V for 30 seconds, which can heal 100 points of damage (50 hearts). The void works differently in Bedrock as well, since there is a barrier at Y= -104 that prevents you from falling any further (there is no barrier in Java), and also you can't use fireworks + elytra in the Bedrock void (in Java you can escape death by flying up with elytra + fireworks).
8:45 Actually, for maps thats a normal map, if you want a locator map that shows your location and other players you need the compass. Another feature on the map is that if another playerbis holding the map you can see their head on the map in place of their icon. Idk of it was a bug but at dome point i even saw their armor lmao.
you forgot a few: -you can put potions in cauldrons -you can buy skins and worlds (microsoft really had to monetise skin customisation) -also you very much can fish obtain pufferfish and possibly tropical fish? im not sure about tropical fish edit: boats dont need a shovel now :)
You can still use custom skins on Bedrock for free, however you can't use them on the Nintendo Switch version. (Not too sure about the other consoles) Also monetizing stuff on Bedrock makes sense because Bedrock has far more active players because of how widely available it is. My only problem though is that there's no quality check or management of what gets goes on the marketplace BEFORE they get added (as far as I remember).
There is no hardcore in bedrock because of glitches that make you die for no reason randomly happening occasionally. This is why it is ok to use keep inventory. You glitch and die next to lava? Say goodbye to at least half your stuff. And it is also why there is no hardcore. You glitch and die anywhere? Say goodbye to all of your world. (Also there is a really easy way to trick the game into thinking you have cheats off when you don’t, but I’m pretty sure mojang doesn’t know about this. But yeah, you could probably use cheats in hardcore).
the cauldron has one more feature in bedrock you can put potions in it yes and also use arrow to make tipped arrows (no need for dragon breath or villagers) fill a cauldron with 3 of the same potion (otherwise it will vaporize like putting water in the nether) then right click it with a stack of arrows
Think Bedrock doesn't have hardcore mode yet because i think there are still some bugs where you just suddenly die for no reason. Would suck to lose everything to a "you die for no reason" bug

5:55. Sup vivilly, the reason why hardcore is not in bedrock mode is just because bedrocks so buggy. there's many bugs that players die to from no-clipping through walls when eating (which players have fallen into the void from) to just randomly dying to fall damage when you havent fallen at all. mojang just doesn't want people to lose their worlds to these stupid bugs. and I'm guessing they don't know how to fix them because they'd be gone by now.
True, and to add to this, Bedrock doesn't have an official Spectator mode (unless they added it's after I switched to Java), as it's considered an experiment, mostly because it seems much harder to code in Bedrock. Before I switched to Java I tried it on bedrock and it was pretty broken in the "doesn't work" way. Until they fix those bugs and properly add spectator mode, Hardcore mode is a no on Bedrock
@@FuryJack07 however I'd much rather them add a functional offhand, and correctly optomize the game on consoles. it just gets so very laggy and the game crashed many times a day once you get so far into a world

as someone who has played mcpe since 0.2.0 I can confirm that the one and only original minecraft is infinitely times better than the Bedrock Edition money hungry spin off for reasons every java player knows. dunno why people are praising bedrock in the comments💀
for those of you who dont know java has INFINITE texture packs shaders mods servers and true parity. bedrock dosent even have mods and has almost no parity at all. weather you disagree or not, the only thing in bedrock that actually makes a difference compared to java is that it was built for all devices :D
Few things to note: - Dyed shulkers exist in Java. You can spawn them in with commands. - Armor stands with arms exist in Java. You can spawn them in with commands. - Java has quasi connectivity. - Bedrock has Movable Title Entities. (So jealous) - Bedrock has snow logging. It’s like water logging but for snow on certain vegetations. Those are the big ones I could think of. Keep in mind a lot of the loot tables, world generation, and spawn rates differ as well.
There is a feature in bedrock that allows you to put coordinates on, but you need to turn it on when either creating the world or wind going into the settings
The java sheep wool color steering thing actually makes more sense. Since the dye probably only coated the 1st and 2nd layer of the sheep's wool and I don't think anyone would make the dye go so deep it will remain the same color after sneering
Java Wither: no not a box! Bedrock Wither: you, you players so foolish in your endeavor to claim this world but know this; i am the god of death, i scourged the nether into a hell for my subjects, i tore down empires far larger than yours a hundred times over, you may think yourself invincible with your structures and farms you build but all things wither and die... even you!
Why is nobody talking about the nether ceiling? We bedrock players can’t build on top of the bedrock. Another huge difference is the spawn rate of mobs. In bedrock the rate is so much worse than java
You forgot about my favorite exclusive features of each version! In bedrock, you can move chests with pistons. In java, you have more options for your world settings, and can intaull the NCR mod.
There is another difference when you spawn the bedrock Whiter the sky turns Dark Grey in java nothing happens, i think that the developers wanna say just dont try it

Wither
Bedrock Wither:
600 HP
300 Hearts
Diff: EXTREMELY HARD 👿
When HP is 300 HP (or 150 Hearts) The Bedrock Wither does a deadly thing.
Java Wither:
300 HP
150 Hearts
Diff: Medium 😠
You can kill it with no armor with a decent amount of weapons.
bedrock wither is too glazed
its harder but i killed it on hard difficulty with unenchanted iron armor and tools.
its not that hard
7:09 i am gonna tell you something maybe look crazy but it's reall shift and spam right click on armor stand and he will dance
yea you can change the post
You can obtain puffer fish and tropical fish in bedrock
Also you can now put banners on Shields
@@FuryJack07 however I'd much rather them add a functional offhand, and correctly optomize the game on consoles. it just gets so very laggy and the game crashed many times a day once you get so far into a world
@@FuryJack07you can go in spec mode with a command in bedrock
@@genixlefrench9763 yes, I know, but it's still buggy, isn't it?
@@FuryJack07 no it's fine, it's doesn't bug for me at least
I was randomly playing the new update on bedrock and went to craft a boat remembered a needed a shovel so crafted that then discovered I didn’t need a shovel. I am so happy that annoying feature is gone!
What about china edition tho
What is your job
You donated so much yesterday
I never knew some off these because I’ve been playing on switch. I thought that sugarcane could always be bonemealed
as someone who has played mcpe since 0.2.0 I can confirm that the one and only original minecraft is infinitely times better than the Bedrock Edition money hungry spin off for reasons every java player knows. dunno why people are praising bedrock in the comments💀
for those of you who dont know java has INFINITE texture packs shaders mods servers and true parity. bedrock dosent even have mods and has almost no parity at all. weather you disagree or not, the only thing in bedrock that actually makes a difference compared to java is that it was built for all devices :D
@@realhx True, but there ARE mods, MANY of them are good. And the best thing is, is that they're FREE.
@@VoidfluxOrb good point but the so called mods are actually addons that serve as resource and behavior packs and they are limited compared to java
@@realhx Well, he community has really taken advantage of Bedrock features and they've figured out how to make masterpieces of mods.
@@realhx we can just use our phones to get the mods sir it ain't hard and they're good
Few things to note:
- Dyed shulkers exist in Java. You can spawn them in with commands.
- Armor stands with arms exist in Java. You can spawn them in with commands.
- Java has quasi connectivity.
- Bedrock has Movable Title Entities. (So jealous)
- Bedrock has snow logging. It’s like water logging but for snow on certain vegetations.
Those are the big ones I could think of. Keep in mind a lot of the loot tables, world generation, and spawn rates differ as well.
What about Bedrock trident killer to auto kill mob for xp and looting 3?
Racist thumbnail trust me
why is nobody mentioning the fact that you can get unlimited flowers by bone mealing them in bedrock whereas in Java that doesn't work
As a bedrock player one thing I hate is that we can't use trapdoors to crawl and you can get cords in a setting but not the others😢
Buff the Java Wither.
Change Java's dyeing system so they have to get iron for cauldron.
Remove the sweeping edge enchantment.
Remove glowing arrows.
7:10 you can also let the armor stand dab lol
Just found your channel and I like it so I subbed good vid btw!!
When I was fishing in Bedrock Minecraft, I was able to get the pufferfish and clownfish.
With luck of the sea 2
6:09 it’s cuz there’s a pitch in bedrock where people die randomly imagine losing ur hardcore world to a glitch
You can also put potions in cauldrons
On bedrock
Correction
You can get both puffer fish and tropical fish from fishing on bedrock I have an auto fishing farm and. I have stacks of them
You can get pufferfish and tropical fish by fishing in bedrock, and also there is a potion in Java and not in bedrock ‘luck’
“To bridge in Java you have to sneak and hold right click”
*Doogile has entered the chat*
Armor stands in bedrock can also change positions. Shift and right click. It can also change with redstone
You can also crouch and right click the armour stand to make it change poses in bedrock 7:00
If you crouch in bedrock, you could change the position of a armor stand.
There is a feature in bedrock that allows you to put coordinates on, but you need to turn it on when either creating the world or wind going into the settings
I thought the coordinates showed on the map?
5:32 when create a world you can on coordinate in bedrock
You forgot to mention one thing :- the winner (bedrock edition)
Yes You cannot change my Mind....
I played both editions...
For years*
eh idk i like both but bedrock just feels kinda tacky imo
i was stuck with bedrock edition for 6 years. java is superior
The java sheep wool color steering thing actually makes more sense. Since the dye probably only coated the 1st and 2nd layer of the sheep's wool and I don't think anyone would make the dye go so deep it will remain the same color after sneering
The thing is the sheep grows the same colored wool so bedrock takes the cake
Java Wither: no not a box!
Bedrock Wither: you, you players so foolish in your endeavor to claim this world but know this; i am the god of death, i scourged the nether into a hell for my subjects, i tore down empires far larger than yours a hundred times over, you may think yourself invincible with your structures and farms you build but all things wither and die... even you!
6:20 that's false... We can have pufferfish from fishing...
I have played bedrock for years and didn't know about the dyeing shulkers. Also you definetly can get pufferfish and tropical fish in bedrock.
The crafting recipe for map is the same if you want a locator map. A non locator map will just be crafted with the cartography table
Why is nobody talking about the nether ceiling? We bedrock players can’t build on top of the bedrock.
Another huge difference is the spawn rate of mobs. In bedrock the rate is so much worse than java
you forgot to mention ONE THING when you mentioned armor stands. if you crouch and right click em they also emote
If you put a potion into a cauldron you can make about 8 stacks of tiles arrows in bedrock unlike Java where u cannot put potions into cauldrons
The only main thing i want in Bedrock that i dont think exists yet is sweeping edge, itd just be such a QOL change
You forgot about my favorite exclusive features of each version!
In bedrock, you can move chests with pistons.
In java, you have more options for your world settings, and can intaull the NCR mod.
There is another difference when you spawn the bedrock Whiter the sky turns Dark Grey in java nothing happens, i think that the developers wanna say just dont try it
"That wasn't clickbate because I don't do that" me looking at the thumbnail ARE YOU'RE SURE BOUT THAT 🤔
The fire aspect part is a feature
a things you didn't talk about is that in minecraft bedrock if you hold shift and jump at the same time and placing a block (if you have enough block) you can build a 16 blocks high pillar
Found that out by accident it has to be a bug
