Great demo of the bike's performance in the snow . Many places in USA and Canada experience snow covered roads . It's nice to see that they can do the job.
9 years ago I was asking around on bike forums if I could commute on a hybrid bike all winter in WI. People called me an idiot with pipe dreams. No one does that in this state, they said. Put it away at first snow or get killed, they said. I'm a little hardheaded so I did it anyway for the better part of a decade on 3 different bikes and I'm still alive lol. Probably only a few dozen days right after big storms when I really had to give it up and take the bus. Now I have a Lectric coming around in June and I'll be doing the same thing this winter with less sweat in my gear. Thanks for the confidence haha, nice video
Spyder Seven Fat tires are your friend in snow/ice/wet etc. Take some air out of the tires and you should be able to ride everything. This Lectric also fold up. So eBike + fat tires = a winner. You can get prestudded tires also.
You’re welcome when I bought mine I watched every video there was an searched daily for new ones lol! Back then there weren’t that many videos on them tho. I remember having to wait for mine and it felt like forever!
Yo Jeremiah. Check the front wheel bearings soon. They ship bone dry. Get some grease on them soon as possible. You might want to do a video on that as well. Will help prolong the bike life. This is a great bike.. Just need to take care of it. Good luck.
Thank you Jer, for your many helpful videos. I bought 2 bikes back in November for my wife and I. We really enjoy them. Customer service was great too. When I had a couple of questions I emailed them. They got right back to me. Once within an hour on a Sunday of all things. Never expected. And they gave me excellent support. I am not affiliated with them in anyway. Just been my experience.
Thanks Jeremiah, the bike did really well! We live in Central Oregon and definitely get our share of snow. We are going to the coast tomorrow for a week and taking the bikes with us. Should have some milder weather there. Can count on you for an informative and WELL DONE video. Thank you.
This is good to see. Thank you for showing what the Lectric in particular handles in deep snow. I do wonder how the other similar e-bike builds handle in the snow, and wet snow as well as sans conditions And why not mud? I never had negative thoughts on the Lectric e-bike, but do have reservations on again the other models, and the more traditional framed E fat tire bikes on how they will handle in less than ideal weather conditions.
HEY JEREMIAH I HAVE A YAMEE 750S FAT TIRE BIKE . AFTER GOING THRU THE WOODS OF ALLEY POND OR CUNNINGHAM PARK I HOSE OFF THE TIRE MANLY AFTER TAKING THE BATTERY OUT. I DONT RIDE AGAIN UNTIL LIKE A DAY OR MORE .
We watched again. Thanks Jeremiah for keeping up with the content. Another good one buddy. Sad that the snow came so soon. Being from Ohio and living in Texas I don't miss it. I left you a message on your FB PM but never heard back. Keep up the good work! -- chris
Almost 1600k so 1000 mile in 2021 here on snow, all kinds, so yes that first 6 inch of the year you'll cut trough it like easy, no ice yet, no slush, no tick wet snow or suddenly what was liquidish hardens because difference in section of your parcour is in more wind, less sun ect. it's Winter. I'm experiencing my first winter on 26x4 inch tires and it is a blast. I will not put my Lectric trough those conditions for sure. or would i? It's a lots of fun when you have a good track you can rely on. But you need to clean the bike every time or it will get messy like the one i have now. When my Lectric gets here i'm gonna take my time in the summer and rebuild my 26x4.
Nice 👍 this video was the only time I had it out in the snow I was just seeing how well it went. I don’t really want to get the wrong thing wet and have issues so I just prefer to stay home when it snows LOL.
Also it went up from 899 to 999. company claims a sale but i think its bologna. but from comparing other eBikes it sounds like this one is worth it for the money. Especially if it can go 45 miles in distance
Dahaaaaaaam im goin ice fishing wida bike ye! Hope it can take the freez n not lockup the motor or else i will be stuck a mile in the middle of no where.

Nice, don't think I will be riding in the snow here in NYC. Now that's a bit to dangerous. One slip up and you can be under a cement truck, city bus, or any vehicle for that manner. I have cars for the snow :o) I won't take the chance do to several spine issues I have, not worth the headache for me. Nonetheless, great to know this bike can handle it if need be. :o)
I don’t think there would be a really good way because you would have to block off the rear wheel somehow and put on pegs for their feet so their feet wouldn’t get caught up in the wheel. If you look at the companion seat for the rad bikes it comes with plexiglass to block the rear wheel so you would probably need something like that for safety. I also believe the rack is only rated for around 50 pounds
@@JeremiahMcintosh thanks for reply, did you checkout the companion bike seat? its a kit to install pegs and a seat in the rear, what do u think about that setup? would love to see if this could fit on the lectric xp, www.thebikeseat.com/store/p3/Companion_Bike_Seat.html
@@JeremiahMcintosh I think my tires are wearing thin or something. Also a lot of asshole's break glass bottles and such on path if I catch someone doing it there going to like my response ...lol

@@JeremiahMcintosh for the last 3 years my 2008 Cruiser Elite TEBCO bike ha been left in the open at friend's place in Adelaide city, it doesn't have digital electronics, has dial speedo, analogue fuel gauge, red LED for power on, green LED for lights on, turn signal - orange LED, the bike is worse for wear, many appointments on the bike cheap and flimsy, many different things tore up, original saddle broke, rear rim cracked up and spokes pulled through, wires breaking inside battery box, bike won't drive at temps lower than 17C, I will try the hairdryer on the ECU and rear hub to find out which is causing the failure or the throttle could be suspect

It really all depends on what you are looking for. I actually looked at the Rattan As a consideration when purchasing my bike but I decided to go with the Lectric Because it had US-based support and good customer service. If you go on the Rattan Facebook forum and read reviews a lot of people complaining about not being able to get in contact with them and them not addressing damages during shipping. The latest thing I’ve seen on there was people that were supposed to get a 500 W motor with their bikes had a label that said 350w and no one could get a hold of customer service to see why. It may just be a labeling issue but those are things I would think about. However with all that being said the suspension and regenerating motor does look awesome! If you watch Kevcentrals Review and opinion on both bikes The regenerative motor does come with some negatives and that being a little less torque. Also the Lectric is a lot cheaper and already has a rack and fenders if that was an option you were looking for. I would also check shipping charges on Rattan Bikes I’m not sure if they have free shipping? That’s just my two cents....I hope this helps!
I have had my lectric xp for one week. On my first four mile ride my back tire started coming off the rim. Had 25psi in both tires. Just wondering if you or anyone else have had this problem. This was on flat pavement with no snow.
No I have not had any problems with mine. you do have to make sure the tire seats evenly when putting air in it initially. I’ve seen some people massage around the tires as they are airing them up to make sure they seat properly all the way around evenly. Did you get a flat or it just came off the rim?
@@JeremiahMcintosh The tire is coming of the rim and the tube is sticking out with air still in it. I don't understand that. I have never had a bike tire to act that way.
I had same thing happen after I deflated my tires to add thorn proofing green goop. Fixed it by deflating again and centering tire carefully around the rim and then making sure the tire was staying put while reinflating. That fixed the problem. The tires only need to be off center a tiny bit for this to happen I found. I’ve put on about 150 miles since then with no problem, even riding off road. Hope this helps.
