Great vlog from the amazing Avonturenpark! ;P Was great to meet and speak to you guys at the logflume! Looks like you had a great day! Looking forward to the rest of the vlogs :D
Theme park worldwide do you know who ksi is because if you do then your awesome and do you ever meet youtubers like vanoss, miniminter,messyourself,w2s,comedy shorts gamer, callux, calfreezy and other youtubers
This park was loads of fun as a child but the older I got the more I began to notice it's a bit of a budget park. Never been on the enterprise but now I'd like to ride one. Thanks for the vlog!
Man, I’ve gone to this park so damn much when I was a child. So many memories. E: oh man, Discovery club used to have such a damn cool pre-show. Like, it was in dutch, so you wouldn’t have understood jack of it, but it was basicly about this crazy professor NulNix who made a magic potions that allowed inanimate objects to come to live! Then his assistent was a silly goose and spilled it all over the basement floor, so now you gave to go clean up his mess! Ah man, so sad they removed that pre-show. It was always so fun and cheesy I loved it. E: Oh maaan, The little boat ride used to be called Jungle Monster and at the end, instead of that stationairy spider, there was a massive Animatromic Triceratops head storming at you. Oh well. This does look more high-quality, although it’s so stationairy isn’t it. E: im convinced that everything in this park shrunk since I last went there. Those rapids waterfalls reached to the horizons, and that logflume drop seemes like it was 12 stories tall to little me. Man, Nostalgia is so strong in this video for me!
Man, this brings back some childhood memories. I remember being there like 20 years ago and the only thing I remember from the park is the rioolrat (sewerrat).
Nice to see you visiting our smaller parks in the netherlands. Btw you should really visit the fright nights in walibi holland at some point. A lot of haunted houses and 2 insane experiences. Great video! :D
Riootrat is actually older, it used to be travelingcoaster set up in the building from 1990 to 1995. They sold that and then Vekoma designed a permanent coaster for the building. From 1985 to 1990 there used to be an indoor coaster called The Black Hole, that was in a tent. It was also a travelling coaster from 1975. I remember when Hellendoorn opened Black Hole, there was a big marketing campaign. But I never got to ride it. I think they replaced it with Rioolrat because Black Hole was a little too intense for kids.
Tornado was my first 'real' coaster with a looping (and corkscrew). So nice you also went to 'De Waarbeek'. We live next to De Waarbeek! De Rodelbaan is the oldest steel coaster in the world. Looking forward to that vlog. :)
Great Vlog as always Shawn mate! Just seen the dark ride and I think that spinning lazer guns system could be better than Duel's current ride state. Maybe a complete overhaul like a new interactive system (only if they keep the guns) and also the LED lights returning instead of strobes then that is perfect!
Ha yep, I love Shawn and obviously his life and decisions, but heading to Asia for weeks and not trying a single thing that isn't burgers or hotdogs is criminal aha, what a missed oppotunity
Shawn-Did you check out the Miniworld Rotterdam link I sent you it previously known as Railz Miniworld -Sure you had heard of it..When do you think you might go there?
We drove to Toverland in August and I got to know the park thanks to your video. We went with Fenix, the first ride was also great, we drove on the left side which is the best side, because of the lever effect. But on the second ride we were a bit shocked, because the shoulder strap of my friend was opened alone before the beginning of the ride and we called and no one had responded. Another child shouted too, because his shoulder strap was open too and after several screams they had only reacted, which we did not like. Something like that never happened to me in any park, which had me disappointed. Otherwise, the park is great, Magiezijn was closed that day and unfortunately the interactive wands with 25 euros were too expensive.
I really like this park, but that did not have to be....I can recommend you the new restaurant in Avalon the flaming feather Morganas healty salad is very tasty. And if you go to the toilets at the flaming feather restaurant you have something to laugh about ;)
Some trivia about me: if you add all time I spend in Salland, where Hellendoorn is, I've lived there for about half a year, whilst growing up. Near Hellendoorn. Been to the supermarket there quite a few times. Oh. And Avonturenpark Hellendoorn itself of course :)
here is a bit of trivia, tornado at avonturenpark have two clones worldwide, one is at the norwegian park Tusenfryd named Loopen, and the second one is at Tokyo Sommerland which is also named Tornado.
Sungai Kalimantan would probably translate to the Kalimantan stream. It has Indonesian theming Kalimantan is on the Indonesian island Borneo. The building is probably a temple.Great u enjoy our small parks. They could use a new family coaster with a lil more thrill.
Another park that needs a vlog update. Tornado is now refurbished with new Sunkid trains and rethemed. They have an eleborately themed Reverchon spinner in that area as well. Both are themed to a dragon backstory that ties into the theme of the Disko. Rioolrat has some minor new effects and the boat ride was refurbished with a new story line and some new theming as well.
The water ride @ 35:00 has the beautiful name Sungai Kalimantan [soongai kahlimahntahn], that simply means Kalimantan river in Indonesian. A nod to our historical ties with Indonesia. It has been that since 1997, no retheming. Of course, not. An English park wouldn't retheming a Indian theme attraction, would they?So yeah, the statues are typicaly Indonesian and a 'chapel' in Indonesia is a temple. And hey, it's nicely cool in the summer, that's why there are water attractions, right? @42:00 was originally called Canadian River by the way. #woodlands. Maybe also a nod to our ties with Canada? Quite a few Dutch left the Netherlands for Canada post-ww2, that is a fact.
The rapid river of Fort fun Germany is almost the same as this one here. Just as dry, same builder and also a waiting area right next to the track. But my dad got a tsunami over him in the queue, but the ride is dry. The employee said: finally someone who got wet on this attraction.
The TopSpin at this park is pretty interesting since it's the TopSpin2 smaller model that was mainly bought by showmen for travelling fairs. Flips much easier than the larger one.
You know This park reminds me on another park at Germany named “Fort Fun Abenteuerland”,maybe because the same company that operates this park, operates that one too. And it’s actually a cool little park, its 67 miles from movie park Germany and it’s a neat little park too. They have 4 coasters there:devil’s mine-a vekoma junior coaster but Omg,that cue line is really themed well and the ride itself is fun as a junior goes. Marienkäferbahn(ladybird roller coaster in english)-this is a zeirer tivoli coaster(the large model) and it’s nothing more than a fun little credit to take. Speedsnake FREE-a vekoma looping coaster similar to tornado but instead of a loop and corkscrew, that have only two corkscrews and the new trains it got in 2017 make that ride really smooth and having a lap bar. And I think it’s a cool credit to get. And Trapper Slider-a Weiglend alpine coaster and it’s just your fun, traditional alpine coaster you can find on many places. But aside from coasters, yeah it’s a cool place to spend a good hours at,the operations were good,in some areas it have great theming and some enjoyable attractions as well I hope you will get here one day and see that pretty park for yourself
The rat at 14.46 has a weird nose. Or is it just my brain seeing things? When i was young I once went to Hellendoorn. But I found the rat attraction scaring to walk through so I went out again.
Rioolrat is my favorite. Even Disney imagineers visited Hellendoorn in the 90's just to take a look at it. Please remember it's an encloased coaster, indoor is something else.
@ 15:00 the indoor coaster is called Rioolrat, literally Sewer Rat. Indeed, but it alliterates in our native tongue, yay! @1:02:15... Oh, dear, the Montezuma's Revenge, that's why I didn't go with the group to the park that year. No thanks. I dunno, maybe I didn't want to get group pressured into going that one. Probably. I was the youngest of the group. But to this day I still won't go in a top spin. No, thank you.
Great vlog from the amazing Avonturenpark! ;P Was great to meet and speak to you guys at the logflume! Looks like you had a great day! Looking forward to the rest of the vlogs :D
Hessel jij ook hier :D
Lekker bezig Hessel!
It was great to see you!
Theme park worldwide do you know who ksi is because if you do then your awesome and do you ever meet youtubers like vanoss, miniminter,messyourself,w2s,comedy shorts gamer, callux, calfreezy and other youtubers
I seen you but I couldn't talk to you
This park was loads of fun as a child but the older I got the more I began to notice it's a bit of a budget park. Never been on the enterprise but now I'd like to ride one. Thanks for the vlog!
‘Doner Kebab the ride’
HAHA I ACTUALLY DIED
Man, I’ve gone to this park so damn much when I was a child. So many memories.

Yes,usually salty fries, with mayonaise is how most Dutch ppl like it
The tornado was my first ever thrillcoaster! So fun to see it again!
Looks a pleasantly charming park and that dark ride looks a nice surprise. The smaller Dutch park’s are surprisingly good too.
Looping group own a theme park in Spain in Seville called Isla magica where you should do a vlog at.
Another great vlog! When I see items in shop with no price on, I often say "it must be free" LOL!
That first ride looked just my cup of tea. :D Husband taking me to Alton Towers this sunday... dreading it! ha
Lovely to see you all enjoying your trip. Very reasonable prices for a full day at a park. Seventeen Euros. Amazing. Best wishes, Somerset. X
Thank you, it is indeed!
Go on Leah - you're gonna love Fenix. I promise you, B&Ms are so smooth and magical! We believe in you! 💜
She had 3 rides on it in a row!
I'll believe it when I see it, haha! Tell her I'm proud of her!
Love Martin and Leah's Phoenix nights tribute on the boat ride totally missed by Shawn lol
Man, this brings back some childhood memories. I remember being there like 20 years ago and the only thing I remember from the park is the rioolrat (sewerrat).
Very enjoyable vlog to watch. Great rides especially the log flume, The rapids dam looked rather ruff.
Nice to see you visiting our smaller parks in the netherlands. Btw you should really visit the fright nights in walibi holland at some point. A lot of haunted houses and 2 insane experiences. Great video! :D

this is the themepark i always go to, 'cause i live so close nearby. so cool to see you guys there! :)
Fantastic review! Can't wait for the next video. Keep up the great work!
Gosh, one of the parks i grew up with! Discovery is one of the oldest interactive darkrides i think, correct me if im wrong!
tornado was my first real thrill coaster. Loved it, started my coaster enthousiasm :)
Tornado was my first 'real' coaster with a looping (and corkscrew). So nice you also went to 'De Waarbeek'. We live next to De Waarbeek! De Rodelbaan is the oldest steel coaster in the world. Looking forward to that vlog. :)
Our Waarbeek vlog is coming this afternoon
Am I the only one that gets a weird motion blur with my eyes at the start of every enterprise? Nice video btw :) + Leah's so funny!
She is a good laugh!
You really need to expand your palette to include such delicacies as...food.
Ha yep, I love Shawn and obviously his life and decisions, but heading to Asia for weeks and not trying a single thing that isn't burgers or hotdogs is criminal aha, what a missed oppotunity
Chris Short - His name is spelt Shawn not Shaun
my bad :]
I'm just not very adventurous!
Shawn-Did you check out the Miniworld Rotterdam link I sent you it previously known as Railz Miniworld -Sure you had heard of it..When do you think you might go there?
"Donderstenen" means thunder rocks!
Thanks for the information!
I was going to say the same thing lol
Shawn - “Ooohh... it’s like B and M bargains at Halloween!” 😂😂😂😂😂
30:00:00 great reference to peter kay pfoenix nights. Love it!!

It’s a great park!
Disco rides Are very funny, its even better when the track is longer like the one at #Chessington #Kobra, also those coasters look huge!
Sungai Kalimantan would probably translate to the Kalimantan stream. It has Indonesian theming Kalimantan is on the Indonesian island Borneo. The building is probably a temple.Great u enjoy our small parks. They could use a new family coaster with a lil more thrill.

Loving the phoenix nights reference from Martin😂
Another great Theme Park Worldwide Vlog Shawn
Thank you!

Which do you reckon is the best theme park in the Netherlands? I mean for families
Efteling is the best theme park in the Netherlands.
Great Video Shawn, Loving The Recent Parks!!
I can't wait when you go to toverland! Ps: this was a very nice vlog!
Thank you, all of the vlogs from this trip are nice and long!
You know

Shawn’s Bin Reviews 😂
Shawn,You read my mind??Tornado.Total mini corkscrew.I wonder if the towers have sold some of the corkscrew for back up parts??
Charlotte is wearing a beautiful ring!❤️
Me and my boyfriend likes your video.
When i was young, Sewerrat was my favorite coaster!
Love the video's.
Hoi, vind je video’s echt geweldig! :)
Dankje ;)
Thank you!
Donderstenen (a.k.a Rockwork the ride) translates to "Thunderstones" and the ride has a story relating to the Hunnebedden found in the area
Thanks for the information!
Bubble waffle is a hong kong traditional snack. Interesting fact for you from your Hong Kong fan :-)
The hellendoorn map and aesthetic is scarily close to Pleasurewoods. I wonder if Looping shares assets and artists
The tornado was my first looping coaster!
Sungai Kalimantan is Indonesian for 'Kalimantan River'. Kalimantan is an Indonesian island. Also known as Borneo.
You should do more Netherlands trips
Sungai means river in Indonesian. Kalimantan is the Indonesian part of Borneo island
I think some times the smaller parks have more character then the big parks xx
They do indeed
The rat at 14.46 has a weird nose. Or is it just my brain seeing things?
When i was young I once went to Hellendoorn. But I found the rat attraction scaring to walk through so I went out again.
in Dutch its custom to order a French fries speciaal its with mayo curry and small parts of onions you should try it!
The queue line for sewer rat was so cool.
It was indeed
One of the few parks in the Netherlands I've never been to. Maybe I should.
hier heb ik zin in!
A Kids Meal again 😱😂 like at the Rollocoaster Restaurant last year. You know how to save money 😂
Nice vlog!!
Shawn you should have a vlogging channel?!
Hope you told the staff there Shawn that B&M would like there uniforms back please lol
Very true!
Cool ace vlog
Gojo Orange would clean your hands nice, and leave a citrus scent.
Leah, I bet that you’ll love Phoenix and Toverland! I’m sure that you’ll regret it if you do not ride it!
Fēnix
She went on which is great!
Charlotte's Mickey Mouse backpack is so cool!
Most anticipated video for this year!
We hope that it lived up to your expectations!
It sure did it was worth the wait!
Rioolrat is my favorite. Even Disney imagineers visited Hellendoorn in the 90's just to take a look at it. Please remember it's an encloased coaster, indoor is something else.
Hey xd i live in the netherlands its funny how english people try to say dutch words xd but nice video
You're lucky to have so many parks near you!
We do have a good laugh!
Are you going to be back in the Efteling soon?
I plan to visit this winter!
Ha I only just got the black bin bags joke from Peter Kay 🤣
@1:09:45 shows how we Dutch like to bike. Even our young ones. Yay Dino Sky Pedalo :) (1994, not long after Jurassic Park, the film)
FĒNIX IS MY FAVORTIE COASTER IN THE NETHERLANDS!
I do love a Huss Enterprise. They look really dated but they still ride well! My father thinks they're made by 'Ham'. 😂
Nice little park, and at ~€17 its worth it for families :)
They have Halloween scare actors in the Rioolrat tunnel during Halloween
What's the other park they went to after this one? Couldn't recognize their pronunciation.
De Waarbeek
Waarbeek is the next vlog to come to the channel!
Probably. Are you going near valkenburg?
Your channel is amazing ♥️❤😄
Thank you!
But Charlotte loves the Log Flumes 😱 I’m shocked she didn’t go on
So was I!
When you get more wet on the gentle boat ride than the rapids.
Tip for Fenix i like the left side back row becaus you have Some speed in the frist drop
He has already been on Fēnix
Thank you, we visited the other day and loved it!
#rockwork the ride ☺
Joepie een nieuwe video. Erg leuk :)
Something's wrong with your keyboard :O
@@JoriDiculous why?
Je weet wel dat hun geen Nederlands begrijpen he? ;)
Talk English xD
@@yaell9431 I know xD. It was just for fun!
Zekers! 😉
We Dutch also think those shows and puppets are also weird;)
1:10:11 "steel vengeance" 😂😂😂😂 that reference is not for everybody!
I'm glad you realised what I meant!
Shawn what happened from staying off the fizzy drinks 🤔😉 with your full sugar coke
It lasted a whole 2 days!
it's near halloween which means... pumpkins!! watch out martin!
‘Crapids’ they looked so good off ride as well!
I know they did indeed
Great vlog but was tornado smoother than milenium
Millennium is still smoother!
They need to spend more money on Pleasure Wood Hills.
They do indeed
