  • We return to Toverland to experience the two new areas at the park for 2018. This beautiful Dutch theme park recently opened a brand new entrance called Port Laguna along with the themed world of Avalon, home to a B&M Wing Coaster called Fēnix.
In this vlog we explore both of these new immersive themed areas along with sharing our full review and on ride footage from both Fēnix and the Merlin's Quest boat ride. We also experience all of our other favourite attractions at the park including on ride POV's from Troy, Booster Bike and many more Toverland classics. Finally, we check out the other changes across the park including a re-worked queue for both Tory and Djengu River and a re-brand for the parks log flume.

Such an amazing vlog on Toverland again. My son and I really love to come here. In summer we always go to the "midzomeravond" when the park is open until 11. The park has such a magical atmosphere when it's dark. There are light everywhere. We also love the fireworks at the end of the night. My son got to ride Troy and dwervelwind in the dark. That was amazing. Keep making great vlogs. We love watching them.

What a great vlog off your day at Toverland! I was looking forward too this one and your oppinnion of Fenix and Merlin's Quest. I've been a few weeks before you guys to Toverland and also fell in love with Fenix. I love the theming and the music of Fenix!!! And for me, it was my first wingcoaster ever, and i just loved it! I also ride it in the back and on the frontrow. I Liked the left backrow the best, because it is so intens there. But in the left frontrow you get the swing around at the drop, what i liked a lot!
I agree that the building at the breaks needs a nice theming, because it is just a building and not as the rest off the ride, that is so nicely themed.
But i also think that at the turn from the station, there needs to be more theming! There's nothing there... only the smoke. Maybe there will be in the future, but what i think would be nice... if they put a fenix there, along with some rocks and flowers or something!
After Toverland i've been to Heidepark and also ride Flug der damonen, and i loved that one better then Fenix! Flug der damonen has 4 inversions (Fenix has 3) and the ride floats more like a demon would in the air. I also loved that theming around that coaster and offcourse the sound effects as the coaster comes by.
I also agree that they need to leave the name Toverland and not change it. I'm dutch and the name toverland sounds better in englisch then it is in dutch, but the park is known as Toverland!
I think this park has so much expension space and i think it will be a bigger park in the future.
Looking forward to your next vlogs!

Ah finally, Toverland! Great vlog as always! As for the Fenix station, Toverland creative team has expressed they want to finish up the unthemed facade so I have good hopes for that one. And yeah, you should definitely try to come during a summer's weekend next year (tip: if you get accomodation around Eindhoven you'll be near to the Efteling, Toverland, Bobbejaanland, Walibi Belgium, Movie Park Germany and Phantasialand, and probably some other smaller parks as well). Oh and btw, gray-out on Fenix is because that helix is very tight, pulls more than 4G and it then immediately sends you up into an inversion as well.

Wow first proper vlog of Toverland.. And what did I miss these years. Last time I went to Toverland must have been over 10 years ago, when Troy was brand new. I remember how sad the park looked, with lots of open space, almost no trees or green, just a few attractions outside. Back then the park was more focused on the indoor part. After my last visit I never went back, because it was quite a childish theme park. Maybe I should after seeing this vlog.. I don't even recognize the entrance! I always thought Toverland was more of a 'indoor playground', but that was 10-15 years ago lol.

I loved toverland, however, you made me remember a park which was a stop before toverland since it was 35 miles away, and it was cool.the name of the park is Kinderstad Heerlen, and yes,it’s a family indoor amusement park which I stopped to do some credit whoring.yes, this park is aimed for kids up of the age of 14,however,as a European coaster lover,I felt the need to see the two coasters there.and yes, there are things to do here more than coaster too.now yes, altough there are some themed parts,it’s still an amusement park, the theming here is here and there, but not too much, this park is mostly a playground tho,it meant for kids so there are many playing equipment there for kids, tho there are few attractions, like a carousel,a SBF mini drop tower,a mini log flume and of course, two credits to get:
Achtbaan(or “Roller Coaster” in English)-this coaster build in 2013 and it’s a Preston & Barbieri’s first family coaster 30 x 14 m model, which became pretty popular in the last 3 years.but the ride itself is a solid family coaster, there are some floater airtime, which is week but still there, but that’s about it.the ride is just a smooth, solid family coaste, which have more than 1 lap.
Spinning Coaster-this coaster was build in 11.2018 and it’s one of many SBF spinning coasters,it’s nothing to talk about really since it’s just your typical family spinning coaster by SBF Visa.
So yes,the two coasters are solid family coasters, and you can come here and get the credits if you want too.there’s not much Regulationes on the ride tho, which didn’t bothered me,but still.the staff is neat and smiley there.prices for the food is cheap, compare to most other parksa do the food is pretty decent.my one major flaw there is that it can be hot in the building,so you must not pick a hot day,and yes,the park was pretty crowded for a local park when I came,so plan the visit carefully.so yes,I’m not planing to go back here, since it was just for credit whoring, but I believe if you have kids,go with them to this park,it’s neat for them and they will spend more time than my.now, you don’t have to rush to the park, just give it a chance, and I saw that many bloggers are going to this park for credit whoring,so who knows,it can be a good park to film.

All stone work is indeed done by "Universal Rock" the same company that did all the stone work in "Klugheim" Phantasialand. At front of the right-hand entrance station, there is still a green shed, but there also comes stone work from Universal Rock. And the dark part of Fenīx station to the lifthill also comes a scene. The rumors are about a big dragon and at the bottom of the lifthill. But it could be two scenes, that information still build on roumors. But one thing that will be a dark ride scene. Also, you have a hole before the steam. There also rumors that the head of Fenīx must come, all this after Halloween beginning in November and for us to be seen in 2019. And the Hotel expension planned opening 2020 and between 2021, i hope for a Hotel and ETF dark ride shooter, like in Walibi Belgium a perfect add to the park.

Great video as all of them. Glad you guys had such a great time in Toverland and should you come back this year see if you can find me somewhere ( probably in a souvenir shop ) and come and say hi ☺ And my favourite ride of this park is of course Fēnix. I'm happy that this park is only +/- 15km from home. Many greetings from the Netherlands....Mandy

I think the pirate meant beachcombing, more than treasure hunting. Have to say though: Wow, what they've done with this park is spectacular. It really looks beautiful, and those new rides are looking like brilliant additions. I've got to convince my friends to visit there with me. They all still think this is a park just for the little kids.

The thing with Toverland is ... it is in Limburg. It is too remote for most Dutch people and has few really big cities around them. At other parks in the Netherlands, the locations are simply better chosen. For example, the Efteling has large cities Tilburg, 's-Hertogenbosch, and Breda, around them. supplemented with medium-sized cities Waalwijk, Heusden, Oosterhout, Oisterwijk and Uden. Even Eindhoven and Nijmegen, which Toverland often refers to, are closer to the Efteling. Toverland has Venlo and possibly Maastricht as' 'larger' cities as a possible target group.
But the rest of the Netherlands will first have to drive through Noord Brabant, pass The Efteling and drive even one hour longer to reach Toverland (which has less to offer). And then I am still silent about the other parks in the Netherlands.
I sincerely hope that the park will be a success, but I do not believe in the location.

Another good and amazing vlog, really enjoyed and here is another park could visit in future? With amazing themed areas inside, think there are parts of new land with Phoenix which could do in my opinion with more theming? Not only that end section of coaster, but also the land itself as in my opinion looks in parts still a bit empty. At least in my opinion, but then again it maybe just where park isn't that busy? More likely the reason? Seen by the way there is room for so much expansion in future especially next to Phoenix & around the park. I mean even outside park in Entrance plaza, even noticed gates off to the side? Maybe a second park in future for expansion? By the way aswell indoor section at least exterior could do with theming as don't like the warehouse building showing. Just doesn't suit park with loads of themed areas, doesn't make sense? Also think log flume ride could do with theming aswell? Too exposed with none outside and could do with bit more immersive theming I think in my opinion all over park? But apart from this, a good park with what looks to be friendly staffed and amazing kingdom of magic for all to enjoy & explore. Cheers for video, really enjoyed again and look forward in future for more. 😀👍

Thank god I only lost my keys while riding Fenix. And thanks to Toverland!! Wonderfull service! They found my keys and I got them back. I live an hour away so I got back myself, otherwise they would sent them to me. There are not many themeparks who would thake the effort. Its a young park and there are ofcourse startup problems. But this park is getting ready for the future. BTW nice vlog!!!!!

After watching these blogs recently really makes me sad to see UK parks run sub standard compared to our European neighbours. A big company needs to provide stiff competition for the Merlin parks. Toverland looks stunning

Holland really does punch above its weight in the theme park stakes for such a little country. Efteling, Toverland n Walibi the three big ones but plenty of other decent smaller ones too. Not bad for a country with a population of just 17m.

I heard that they will be trimming the Zero-G-Roll in off season.... And that they will be building an extra scene in Fenix (when you leave the station), and they will theme that awfull green wall.

    • @dragonlord0078

50:26 the music sounded very familiar to me. And I've watched a few theme park vloggers with the onride of merlins quest.
The music they use in that part of the darkride is sort of from the song Mother Earth from the Dutch group Within Temptation. Just the first 14 seconds from the song of Within Temptation are the same. If you got the time just look up that song and than listen to the music of merlins quest and you will hear the resemblance.

17:54 I thought i was the only one.. I never black out on any rollercoaster, but at that spot that Charlotte mentioned, I was really close to blacking out. I really had to put alot of effort into not blacking out. Really weird Shawn. Nice vlog. Really like your vlogs in general :).

Weird indeed! Reminds me of the time I convinced a friend to go on a rollercoaster he didn't want to ride. He was scared shitless during the lift hill and I bursted out laughing trying to get his hands up, instead of letting me he punched me during the entire ride while screaming for his life. It was the funniest and the most painfull ride of my life haha.

    • @chevanl
      @chevanl 6 лет назад +1

I just assumed the girl was blacking out the way she was banging around in the cart and her friend trying to slap her on the cheek to get her out of it. After the first drop you see her starting to slouch and at 42:05 she seems to be out of it and after that her friend starts giving her little slaps. Turn the speed down to 0.25 to get better view.

    • @imlewisblackman
      @imlewisblackman 6 лет назад

chevanl blacking out? Please.. I’m sick of people pretending to black out likes it’s cool or something. If rides were that intense they wouldn’t make them? Blacking out can lead to other seriously bad issues that cause near death experiences. Rides are supposed to be safe and fun, this girls just being a total asshole to her friend and that’s the end of it, case closed.

Avalon is maybe my favorite area in a theme park. Harry Potter in universal studios and klugheim are maybe more detailed but in Avalon I feel I'm in a complete different park, while with klugheim is a got the feeling I'm in Phantasialand

I hope the next expansion for the park will feature a decent dark ride and a decent flat ride at minimum.
And the pre-lift/transfer track of Fenix will be themed in the off season, so it isn't just a dark and boring turn section of track.
