As someone who's accidentally created crackships several times I can confidently say they're usually a product of really liking 2 or more established medias, making fanfic about one in a new AU of you're own making, and then slowly adding characters from other medias to it. A few happy little accidents here and there resulting from being a fanfic writing goblin. when i made my crack ship it was at 3am while i was exhausted and salty over the canon relationship and lacking literally anyone else to ship the main character with other than his canon love interest.

So at 3am out of sheer spite i decided to say fuck you to canon and decided to ship him with someone from my other favorite thing who hed have a much more interesting dynamic with and would actually age the same way yugo does kinda sorta, depending on whether flowey is being acknowledged or if he’s been granted a second life or something, and went with asriel. Partly because of how complex of a character and his situation as flowey is. I think theres alot of potential for angst and character devolpment on yugo’s part since he has canonically had to deal with someone who was very very similar to flowey in the show but the main difference being that asriel actually regretted his actions and willingly punished HIMSELF for his crimes unlike the season 2 antagonist im refering to. Also asriel is just a good boy who deserves good things in his life so theres another reason.
Also i should clarify since asriel’s age is kind of up in the air i usually head canon him around 12 or 13 which is, i believe the same age Yugo is around seasons 1 and 2. The youngest i’ve ever thought of asriel as during undertale was like 10 and no older than 13. My Au i made out of sheer bordem and after watching way too much moomins, has both of them at around 14. I understand this point but I kind of enjoy the idea of Cinderella and Sukuna a little more. Mainly because Cinderella's strength lies exactly where he lacks, which is kindness. I love, love, love this wonderful and genuine analysis of crackships like Sukurella! The whole Disney x JJK thing leaking onto RUclips had me debating with myself whether or not to get TikTok to join on the fun. While I ultimately decided not to, content like this brings me a lot of joy for many reasons. For starters, it’s so nice to just see people get in on the fun and not shit on others for the weirder sides of fandom. But the clear effort and enjoyment emanating from this video is what really brought it together. It was also just really funny. I’ve always adored crossovers and have been actively crossover-crackshipping in the JJK fandom for about two years now (an author on ao3 single-handedly converted me) and so seeing JJKxDisney fandom pop up was amazing. You should have put the character design analysis after the explanation of crack ships and the introduction to the ship but before the analysis of why people like the ship since it gives the audience a basic understanding of the characters in isolation. Great video, really enjoyed it.
20:56 I think another reason why bad boys get more girls than “good boys” is due to how you don’t play the guessing game and because they’re more confident. Those who I knew indentify as good boys are meek, quiet and while smart and fun, the amounts of low self confidence and self pity make them unappealing. Because sure is okay to be emotional but not at the expense of making your partner be your compliment machine. So goes for women. Bad boys tell you what they feel and want. There’s no what if he doesn’t want me or does. You will know. As well as they tend to be more open to new things. Be it dangerous or not, many relationships can fall to stagnation due to routine and the like. Or tldr, many want someone who makes their decisions for them more those who struggle with what to think or due (many girls having controlling parents) and have someone who will make your parents feel pain plus do things for you sounds appealing. Bad boy will inflict pain on the parents you have resentment plus still perpetuate the status quo you know but also give enough change. I hope I made sense. All of this is toxic don’t get me wrong. Just telling what I’ve seen. In other words, be confident, no “buts or umm”, leave things crystal clear and don’t let your partner be the “parent” of the relationship and you’ll be ok.
Can confirm. Had a “good guy” as a friend for years. Just because it’s okay for guys (and people in general) to be open about their emotions does not give those same people permission to trauma dump at every given opportunity at the expense of your friend/partner’s mental health. I tried to help him, but it felt like all my efforts were just lost in the black hole that was his self-pity and low self-esteem, and it devolved to the point of me getting anxiety attacks whenever he’d contact me to tell me every bad thing that ever happened to him that day/week. There’s no feeling of remorse dumping a POS, but there is much remorse dumping somebody who’s genuinely good and kind, but just so wrapped up in themselves that they don’t know they’re hurting the people around them. :(

As someone who's accidentally created crackships several times I can confidently say they're usually a product of really liking 2 or more established medias, making fanfic about one in a new AU of you're own making, and then slowly adding characters from other medias to it. A few happy little accidents here and there resulting from being a fanfic writing goblin. The rest because someone said a what if trying to get a reaction and didn't expect a mf to react like thay blond girl trying a beer

I didnt mind her in seasons 1 and 2 she kinda just felt like she was always just there, not really doing or adding anything at any given point in time save for like a handful of times i can think of. Like the monkey episode. Mind you i did watch the english dub so maybe some stuff was lost in translation, it aint a very good dub and you can tell immediately from episode 1 so..Regardless, i said fuck no the moment the show decided seemingly out of nowhere that yugo had a crush on amalia. So at 3am out of sheer spite i decided to say fuck you to canon and decided to ship him with someone from my other favorite thing who hed have a much more interesting dynamic with and would actually age the same way yugo does kinda sorta, depending on whether flowey is being acknowledged or if he’s been granted a second life or something, and went with asriel. Partly because of how complex of a character and his situation as flowey is. I think theres alot of potential for angst and character devolpment on yugo’s part since he has canonically had to deal with someone who was very very similar to flowey in the show but the main difference being that asriel actually regretted his actions and willingly punished HIMSELF for his crimes unlike the season 2 antagonist im refering to. Also asriel is just a good boy who deserves good things in his life so theres another reason.
Also i should clarify since asriel’s age is kind of up in the air i usually head canon him around 12 or 13 which is, i believe the same age Yugo is around seasons 1 and 2. The youngest i’ve ever thought of asriel as during undertale was like 10 and no older than 13. My Au i made out of sheer bordem and after watching way too much moomins, has both of them at around 14. I have not written any fanfics though because i am a shit writer ovo

I understand this point but I kind of enjoy the idea of Cinderella and Sukuna a little more. Mainly because Cinderella's strength lies exactly where he lacks, which is kindness. Cinderella was never anything but kind, something Sukuna never really knew. Now, I only like this in a healthy sense. Even with Mulan, I feel like he wouldn't have respect for her because she's still infinetly weaker than him.

I love, love, love this wonderful and genuine analysis of crackships like Sukurella! The whole Disney x JJK thing leaking onto RUclips had me debating with myself whether or not to get TikTok to join on the fun. While I ultimately decided not to, content like this brings me a lot of joy for many reasons.
For starters, it’s so nice to just see people get in on the fun and not shit on others for the weirder sides of fandom. But the clear effort and enjoyment emanating from this video is what really brought it together. It was also just really funny.
I’ve always adored crossovers and have been actively crossover-crackshipping in the JJK fandom for about two years now (an author on ao3 single-handedly converted me) and so seeing JJKxDisney fandom pop up was amazing. You should have put the character design analysis after the explanation of crack ships and the introduction to the ship but before the analysis of why people like the ship since it gives the audience a basic understanding of the characters in isolation. Great video, really enjoyed it.
20:56 I think another reason why bad boys get more girls than “good boys” is due to how you don’t play the guessing game and because they’re more confident.
Those who I knew indentify as good boys are meek, quiet and while smart and fun, the amounts of low self confidence and self pity make them unappealing. Because sure is okay to be emotional but not at the expense of making your partner be your compliment machine. So goes for women.
Bad boys tell you what they feel and want. There’s no what if he doesn’t want me or does. You will know. As well as they tend to be more open to new things. Be it dangerous or not, many relationships can fall to stagnation due to routine and the like.
Or tldr, many want someone who makes their decisions for them more those who struggle with what to think or due (many girls having controlling parents) and have someone who will make your parents feel pain plus do things for you sounds appealing. Bad boy will inflict pain on the parents you have resentment plus still perpetuate the status quo you know but also give enough change. I hope I made sense.

I tried to help him, but it felt like all my efforts were just lost in the black hole that was his self-pity and low self-esteem, and it devolved to the point of me getting anxiety attacks whenever he’d contact me to tell me every bad thing that ever happened to him that day/week.
There’s no feeling of remorse dumping a POS, but there is much remorse dumping somebody who’s genuinely good and kind, but just so wrapped up in themselves that they don’t know they’re hurting the people around them. :(

It annoys me to no end when these podcasters see this and think it means that these preferences translate to real life. There’s a reason why that study mentioned in the video shows this behavior irl mostly occurring in short term relationships (so no a hookup isn’t a marriage proposal) and dropping off as people grow older.

God this brings me back to my first crackship, Buu saga Gohan X Flora from winx club, I even wrote a fan fic set before the buu saga where Gohan ends up on Magix alongside Bloom set during season 2 of winx club, thank FUCK that is lost to time.
I think when you realize a lot( and I mean A LOT) of romance manhwa and manhua is essential the Sukuna x Cinderella ship, you can kind of see where this comes from. I have see a lot of romance, fantasy, isekai manhwas' where the ML was basically Sukuna lite but more tame, and the FL was practically Cinderella with a bit more nuance, and a lot more trauma or stockholm syndrome.
