ALWAYS MAKE SURE THEIR FEET ARE TOUCHING YOU OR WHAT THEY ARE SET ON! On your forearm, shoulder heck anywhere is fine as long as all of their feet have contact theyll be chill asf. This is the best and least stressful way to hold a beardie without squirming. Though naturally un tamed will go for the highest point and to heat which is your head.
AND NEVER purposely put them on their back because they don't have a diaphragm. They flip over when they fall on their back for a reason.

Good owners already have them accustomed to being handled this they are more complacent and less likely to jump off. But if they do, they’re not made of glass (this doesn’t mean you should chuck your dragon across the room), if they intentionally jump off and they’re healthy then chances are they won’t go splat. Definitely doesn’t ease the anxiety tho when your dragon decides to Yeet themselves off your arm.

I have a sub adult beardie, recently graduated from juvie stage. Ever since shes been small, she likes to jump off things even from branches and rocks from her enclosure. I was scared and shocked at first, but like stated in the video, juvies are skiddish, and apparently mine is still kinda growing out of the lightning flash habit. The highest height She did fall off was 3 ft from my lap when i sat on a stool chair. Luckily the impact wasnt head on first, but Lizards in general fall like cats, they try to fall belly down. Since its a beardie, imagine falling on its back with those rough hardened scales. That would be awful 😣

They are all one species I believe if you want a slightly bigger bearded dragon it’s mostly gonna be a male your gonna look for if there are any other species ask the requirements to get it and keep safe and stuff then buy it make sure you have the correct heat for your area and electrical bills make sure your able to keep up with that and they’re complex diet from young age mostly live bugs and some fruit and lots of veg for young for old mostly veg some dead/live bugs and some fruits make sure you give them calcium and don’t feed kale to much as the calcium can stick together and bind inside their body DONT feed to much as older dragons can become obese and shorten the life span of your animal make sure they are handled enough from a young age and don’t stress them out feeding worms is good just don’t feed them it to much and especially if they’re young do not feed super worms as they die a few days later do not pick up while they drink as his can kill them you can look up on that if you feel like keeping the precautions up to standard make sure the temperature is good for the night and good for day bad temperature can and will kill your dragon so hope your ready for a bearded dragon and if you have one good job

As someone else said, beardies can't breathe when you put them on their backs. Also I could be wrong, but those enclosures don't seem big enough for a beardie that size. Ultimately an adult beardie should really be in a 4x2x2 120 gallon enclosure.

Jesse Mooks (keep in mind I'm not professional at all and when I got my beardie he was 6 months old)
Try and get them used to you by placing your hand in the cage near them for a bit or go past/near/by the cage often so they get used to your presence.
Also when handling as they said in the video be careful and support them because otherwise they freak out because they're scared you're going to drop them. Again I'm not a professional and my beardie was used to being handled when we got them.
I'm sorry if I'm giving you false information of any kind and you should also search about how to gain your beardie's trust for better and more in depth info then I have.
