I have just rescued 2 adult beardies from an awful enclosure. I had to pick them up from this woman, whose sister owned the beardies. The sister had left them with her, the poor woman had no idea what to do. Their cage was in horrible condition. apparently, they had not trained them to eat their greens. This video has helped a lot with their rehabilitation. Hercules ( the male ) is still working on it, and Meg ( the female ) now loves to eat her greens. Thx sooooooo much ☺

You are amazing honestly, ours wasn’t eating veggies, turning his face away and shutting his eyes to them. We did the whole trickery and he got mad a few times but now we have figured that cucumber’s are his go to so we added this to his leafy greens and he appears to be eating them when no one watches. I just noticed him at his bowl and he then kept watch on me while licking the veggies 😂 but as long as he eating them which I can see I don’t mind if he keeps it a secret lol thank you. We are currently trying to drinking water trick too xx

My big guy is SO SMART I can not get him to eat his veggies or salad I have to force feed him a piece or two and then he eats a couple more on his own. Only about 10% of the time. I've tried EVERYTHING. It's been months I veen constantly working with him but he's just way too intelligent for my shit...😅 he knows his name. He's potty trained to go on heating pads without the cloth on the outside, throughout the house. He also doesn't drink water. Ever. Never ever. So I use a plastic dropper to give him what I feel is sufficient every day or 2. He also loved superworms. Then when I got over 1000 of them ad started to farm them he now only likes dubia roaches. Now I got over 100 roaches and there dwindling away pretty fast. Good thing is he will be brumating very soon. He already tried but it a little too early and he's now basking on his log 😂 but he has a bed with a canopy/blanket locket type top and goes to bed in his bed every single night. He's so smart but such a gentle soul and so lazy omg lazy. He has free roam of the house and a log leading from the floor to his huge ass 5ft x 3.5 ft enclosure so he comes and goes as he wants.but yeah if anyone has any tips or pointers other then this plz lmk. When you have a baby of any species you get creative 😅 knowledge is power. Hope you got a few pointers from me too. 😊

I hope this works. He is fine with me feeding him things the first time always. Once I put calcium on it, GAME OVER! I have his tank and lights at optimal temps. My sister raises them and told me it’s set perfectly. That helped me feel better because my guy is almost 5 and just won’t eat his vitamins or greens. He loves cicadas (seasonal only) and crickets. (Unable to get them where I live. I live very rural, and need to go to the post office to pick up online ordered crickets. They are usually mostly dead, so not economical for me. I don’t have room to raise them. I do have Dubai roaches growing, and am on my second generation finally, but he doesn’t like the small ones. They take so long to get large. I sure hope this works. Thanks for posting these suggestions.

My 13.5 year old bearded dragon has never had any issues when it came to eating her veg. But the past 3 months I'd say she has shown little to no interest in them. She still wants her live food but doesn't want her veg. She will sometimes eat Bell peppers or anything slightly more colourful if I put that in her dish. But most of the time she ignores it.
I put her veg in her viv in the morning and I try not to feed her live food until she eats some of her veg. But because of her age I don't want her to go without food for too long.

I found a way to make her eat them though...I bring her outside, and when she warms up enough to open her mouth to cool off, I feed her the fruits and veggies. It's the only thing that's worked so far. She's not happy about it, but she likes being outside, so we both win.

I don't see him respond to many comments, but maybe I miss it, but from my experience, each dragon likes certain greens over others. I even did a taste test with one of mine, I had 3 little bowls in front of her, collards, turnip greens, and arugala. That day she preferred the turnip ones, but it can be difficult. Sometimes they don't know the greens are food, it seems, and sometimes they aren't hungry enough to try. They can go a while without eating, and they will go on a hunger strike if they think they'll get bugs eventually.

I can normally see little individual curls of hair when it’s pulled back, but in this video, it looks like you had all your hair cut off. Surely you didn’t. Your brother’s hair is also long, and you seem like you like it, you know the ladies love it, so it’s prob just pulled back really well, or you have had taken this video earlier in the day, before your hair begins to get loose & fly away, lol.

My bearded dragon is SO SMART he's trained to go to the bathroom on a heating pad. It warm to help him go. Easy to clean. And he knows to go to that spot now. 1000% also I try to put worms into is salads but he just waits for them to pop their heads up and picks them out. So smart is annoying.. so what I do is I put some in his salad right. I see that he does this. So I get some plastic tongs or tweezers and wait for him to go to the worms and quickly put the lettuce or fruit in front of the worm so he gets that instead. Boy is he mad but he gets his diet and is so healthy and strong his muscles are bulging 😊 he's a big beautiful body. His name is Jimmy. I've tried every insect except crickets as he had about 30 cricket bites when I got him. The rescue had him and his sister in the same tank and just dumped bugs in for them. I've offered every size of dubias since I have a colony. No go there either. Do you have any suggestions for getting him to eat bugs? Please? With babies, just keep offering them a mix every day. Free fed. My baby hardly ate anything in the beginning. She’s just under a year old now and eats them like a champ. I also sprinkle bee pollen on top.

This technique didn't work i did it for a month so last week I had to literally starve her for 2 days then she ate her veggies no problem I hate I had to do that but she look a happier and healthier now that she's tried them after starving for 48 hrs

I can't even figure out what my new dragons favorite food is because he stopped eating after 3 days. Im debating just getting rid of it because this is ridiculous. I'm not gonna sit here and watch an animal starve and my electric bill rise. He can't be handled, can't be bathed, won't drink water, won't eat greens, won't eat superworms, roaches, or waxworms.
