Beautifully shot and narrated film, and the music was a perfect accompaniment on the tour. Pere Lachaise is something I've never done in my years of visiting Paris so this was all new for me, thank you. Even my wife liked the video and cemeteries are not her thing...
We appreciated the information & the presentation style, enhanced by the great choice of Satie music & filming on a grey weather day. Thank you so much! :)
Outstanding video! We went for a long walk in the cemetery last year. We did not look for any graves in particular - we just wandered around appreciating the park like environment. I wish I had seen this video first - you shared so many interesting stories! I also loved the music! Many thanks!
This is definitely going on my list to do when I revisit Paris. I really appreciate you highlighting this, because there is a lot of information here that I didn't know about. Thanks again for this.
great video, love the background music intro by erik satie's gymnopedies & gnossiennes, very sombre & so fitting. it's funny how you say jim morrison's grave is the most visited, and he's not even french person. oscar wilde's grave is the second most visited grave at pere lachaise, and he's not even french person either, just sayin.
You show a man laying on a slab of stone fully dressed,,,and people have been rubbing his junk because it it very shiny how can people be so disrespectable,,,Leave the poor dead man's junk alone!!!!
Legend has it that if a woman in need of a child rubs this statue, she will become fertile. In fact, sometimes (you can easily find this on the internet) women take off their panties and rub their genitals on the statue.
3.5 million a year. That's nonsense. That equates to almost 10k per day. I've been there many times and there has never been anything like that figure. Click bait. Pity.
Ive watched dozens of Pere Lachaise videos and this is by far the best - of course adding Eric Satie's music was a beautiful addition.
Thanks a lot 🙏

Definitely a place for you to visit, Matthew!
What a wonderfully narrated tour. I visited Pere Lachaise in September of 2016. I hope to return soon to see more of this mesmerizing place.
Thank you!🙏
Wonderful video, just returned from my second trip to Paris and was fortunate enough to visit this beautiful place.
Glad you enjoyed it!

"Oscar Wilde the world`s first celebrity"? Well, no...
There were many before him, even thousands of years before.

Here's for you, Mr. Know-it-all: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A8re_Lachaise_Cemetery
What else?
It covers 110 acres so it is possible
That's for your great video, how long does the walk take approximately? Merci 🙂
Between 1 and 2 hours max...
