I have 5+ yrs of experience in manual testing, SQL and API testing using Postman. I was getting 24 LPA. Got laid off. Now I have started learning core java and automation. It might take 3-4 months for me to be prepared and to crack automation interview. Will that 3-4 months gap make any difficulty to get new job?

Hi sir, I am 4 years experienced with 17 lpa salary, got laid off recently.. I m looking for new job, but simulteneous thought of me is to take break for one year for self employment which is not related to IT. But my concern is that if it doesn't work then after coming back to IT will I be able to get job with same salary or hike over this package ? or I have to start all over again ?
