Disappointing Start for Blackpool Tram launch

- On the 12th June #blackpool #Trams were set to launch their new extension to the network. We decided to take a trip down to watch the icon tram's of Blackpool launch. How ever it didn't go to plan and Blackpool transport kinda let themselves down and I personally think let down fan's of the tram who hadn't won a ticker on their lottery.
I would Categories as a poor show from #Blackpool transport, the had new articles about the day and still wouldn't tell fan what time things were happening and how the day would be set out.
So I Decided to release this video, I don't expect it will be everyone cup of tea but Let me know would you have been disappointed as well?
We will go back in July and give another go.

If you are off on Mondays they do tours around the Heritage Tram Centre on Rigby Road (Saturdays too, but you probably work on those days), so you could do a video about that at the same time and make a day of it. Very poor of Blackpool Transport not to do a better job of letting people know what was going on, this is history and shouldn't just be for the chosen few.
Appreciate the comments, another YT has commented that there was a schedule all along. However, neither my wife or myself were able to locate this information so I don't know what I did wrong, but apparently I've upset somebody. And I'm unfortunately working Monday as it's Eid in Blackburn and I'm covering a lot of our colleagues. But maybe next time

A good presentation about the "dummed down" opening without all the pizazz you would expect from Blackpool. The taxi protest was, possibly, one of the highlights of the day and the tram coming up Talbot Road (not Talbot Street) was just like all the days that they have been testing. We could have, in Blackpool's heyday, expected the brass band, that were in the station tunnel, to have marched up Talbot Road in front of, perhaps, an open boat tram carrying the Mayor and Councillors waving to the people as they passed with Flexity 018 bringing the VIPs behind as there is plenty of room at North Station tram plaza, but there was never a plan to let people into the "building site" until the service launch on Sunday 16th June 2024.
However, Blackpool Transport did publicise the time of the opening - hence why there were so many enthusiasts there on time with their cameras.
It was 12th June 2024, not 12th July 2024 as you state.
The tram was always departing Starr Gate depot at 10:40, arriving at Blackpool North Railway Station tram plaza at around 11:00 and then due to depart after the launch and lunch for VIPs at around 12:30.
It was not the official launch. It was a VIP first trip. The first in almost 88 years actually (19th October 1936 was the last along Talbot Road in service).
Enthusiast trips to North Station have taken place on Thursday and Friday and, on Saturday, Heritage Balloon tram 700 is running enthusiast trips to North Station.
The official launch takes place on Sunday 16th June 2024, when the full service starts with the first tram arriving at Blackpool North Railway Station tram plaza at 07:19.
Please don't blame Blackpool Transport as it was not their show. It was a Blackpool Council event and it was publicised on their website and on Blackpool Transport's website.
There are many RUclips presentations made by enthusiasts and RUclipsrs who bothered to find out the times.
The tram left, as planned, bang on time at 12:30 from the tram plaza back to Starr Gate with its VIP guests.

I know I mixed up July with June (kinda my super power 😔) oh it's a shame I genuinely and my wife Google to see if we could find the order of the running and all the articles just said the same.
So I don't know where I went wrong in not getting the same information. I appreciate the comments and support. I was aware of the Depot tours and other things taking place at the weekend.
But honestly I appreciate the comment and maybe next time I will reachout for more help if I'm struggling with information
