Hi sweet peanut butters! I know I will get a lot of questions in the comments about outfit sources so wanted to tackle that here! Every single thing is linked in the video description! Lots of items were thrifted or purchased years ago, so I tried to link to second-hand stores, or similar items when needed. Lots of items appear in multiple outfits, so if you like the purse from Outfit 6 but don't see it listed there, it may be listed in Outfit 2! etc...(RUclips limits how much text i can put in the description, so I ran out of room to do redundant linking). Some of the sites I used for second-hand shopping include FWRD, Shopbop, ThredUp, Depop, and Goodwill. There is something very 90s about your wardrobe and it suits you. All the outfits you wear in the Instagram pics (especially with Justin in them) are sooo perfect! The white romantic crop top with a long skirt (there is a bus in one of those photos), that was beyond adorable. The green dress and the coral lipstick to die for, the blue and white dress with the blue shoes, adorable. Please, wear that beautiful dress with the cropped mid section (the garden party dress), such a great fit for you...I loved the cute French girl combination in this video, and since you mentioned the French girl style, I have a recommendation. I usually hate French style videos because they are a kind of caricature of the real thing, but Diane from the channel Unblah yourself has the best video on the topic with really great insights and outfits. So, it's really cool that you made this video, hope we see an autumn version later on. ❤

I learned to sew from my mom, who used to make my clothes too. I had to go to 4-H classes for it too. I find that actually now it's best to just alter thrifted/charity shop or quality clothes to fit you, like if I find a pair of of trousers too long i hem them myself, or if a dress is too revealing I alter it...also repair a lot of clothes myself and kids costumes etc, a basic sewing machine and some hand sewing skills goes a long way, life skills kiddo ❤

That black top with the open back is great! My favorite top ever has an interesting back, I need more of those. Oh, and take up knitting, trust me. You can make whatever you want and it's very satisfying, also a good excuse to linger in coffee shops for hours.
Ha! Your 'at home'-outfit is the opposite of mine. I do all black (including socks) and no matter how wide, cute, comfy or whatever the clothes are, I call it/them my 'house ninja'-style. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, lol (80-ies rock chick). Loved the video, as always!!! Also, the Wife life sweater remains hilarious 😁 Greets from Amsterdam. 😊👋
Every time I watch one of your videos I notice your outfits, and every time I am like "She is so cute, she is so Caroline." So maybe even if it doesn't feel like you have a distinct style I think that people can feel it and they know that you're being true to yourself
I totally get you loving to listen to people‘s internal monologue on outfits, sometimes I put on fashion vids only for the background chat without looking at the outfits at all, lol
@@Caroline_Winkler I'm there for the oversized Adidas hoodie with my (also pretending I know how to play) tennis skirt and cute shoes. BTW I'm buying some Bombas to go with!! 🧦 Where do you buy your white tees? You always have the best fit and they look cute with anything!
The first dress is adorable! I usually tie sweaters over one soulder and then under the armpit (ish) - so diagonally rather then over the shoulders. Maybe that feels better looks wise
these outfits are delightful and so is the vibe of this video in general. love to see you confidently rocking what you wear, especially after hearing on the podcast how people's comments about your clothes can really get to you. keep doing your thing girl, you look great ❤
that first skirt i think you wore in a video many months ago and it inspired me to get it and i love it (as someone who also feels too old to shop at american eagle) also, if you enjoy planning outfits i love using an app, i use whering but also theres indyx, where you can log your clothes, create outfits, track cost per wear, etc. and i find it really useful to see what i actually like wearing! its also just fun to plan outfits that way
I love your style. It's current without feeling trendy. It's youthful and fun and stupidly cute. The Anthropologie Mary Janes are fire! I need some. 😃 The cardigan around the neck needs to be a super-light knit, not a chunky knit. Love the long fitted skirts and, just like home decorating, mixing textures is always a great move. My biggest wish for you is that you figure out sooner than later to just lean into what jazzes your world and don't worry about what anyone else is thinking. Like, for real, don't worry. Like, it doesn't even cross your mind. Like that. The older you get, the more you'll feel it; I just hope you find a way to feel it sooner so you can just relax and enjoy this lifetime.
This is genuinely the type of entertainment I needed today, THANK YOU!!!! ❤️❤️ I loved your point about choosing to wear your nicer things everyday just because
“I might beat you up but then afterwards I’ll take you to a picnic” I think that right there is the defining statement. I think you just encapsulated your entire “brand” in one hilarious phrase. You may need to have that cross stitched onto a picnic blanket and a hoodie for the same outing. And I do mean cross stitched. In fun colours. For that Grandma meets gangsta meets club girlie vibe. I am so here for the Caroline Fashion Edit. Your instincts have not been letting you down. Thank god you’re not obsessed with trends because then we’d be missing out, big time. I applaud the desire to break out of the DC low key aesthetic. I live in a small Canadian city. I felt ridiculous showing up to school pick up in my oversized blazer and band t shirt and baggy boyfriend jeans because I stood out so very much from the yoga pants and uggs/trainers … and then I stopped caring and I’ve never been happier with my clothes lol.
Caroline outfit #3 is adorable and looks so good on you!! I love the combination of the tight fitting with the loose fitting. Definitely will use this as future outfit inspo!
“like you can hear my eyeshadow” 😂😂 too funny. so random that you had something from Joe Fresh! it’s always a dangerous time grocery shopping at Loblaws cuz there do be cute stuff at Joe Fresh ☺️
im so glad u enjoy it! it's not a big loss actually, luckily. a subscriber once commented that i should check out Lickd - and you pay maybe $15 per month as a subscription, and then a one-time $50 for a hit song like Espresso. So it's not costing me my retirement fund, and it makes the videos so fun
I'm glad you figured that out Caroline cos I remember when you did the gym video you said you couldn't monetise because of it which was sad. And it does make the videos so fun!

I love seeing other people's style! Please make another one for fall! I also struggle to spend money on clothes that make me feel good - it feels so frivolous and wasteful but when I do and I go out in a cute outfit I feel like a million bucks!
Joe Fresh is a clothing line found in Loblaws grocery stores in Canada. It is definitely fast fashion, and was linked to some very unfortunate factories in Bangladesh, for which the company got lots of heat. It blew over. We ALL wear a bit of Joe Fresh up here and I’m actually wearing a years old dress right now. It’s my house dress I sometimes wear out.
I didn't check to be sure no one else said this, so this may be redundant, but when you wear the sweater over your shoulders, I think it would be best buttoned or done with a sweater w/o buttons ❤️🙏
Came here to say that Bombas actually does walk the walk. I’m an ER nurse and I ALWAYS see unhoused patients wearing Bombas👏🏻👏🏻 Also you can just tell that they are waaaaay better quality than what they usually have access to🥲
This video was so much fun and I didn’t want it to be over! You are adorable and I love your style. Personal style isn’t about wearing what’s “cool”. Great job!
The best fashion is always what makes you feel confident and excited to wear it! In the summer on the east coast I'm personally a big fan of "dresses that touch me the least amount" because they feel so breezy in the heat.
Loved this video! I am working on refining my wardrobe and personal style, and you always look cute and put together so this was great. I would love a video about closet storage solutions - how do you keep your clothing organized so things are easier to access? I don't have a ton of clothing storage space living in a small apartment, and I know that if I can't easily see/find my clothing items I don't end up wearing them as often and have trouble putting thoughtful outfits together. Would love to see how your organize & store clothes/shoes/accessories and any tips you might have!
So happy to see a fashion video from you! I can relate so much to being made fun of and focusing on wearing what was cool when I finally had disposable income, then realizing I didn't like a lot of what I was buying. I feel like it's extra hard as a short person too because our options can be so limited, even with tailoring.
Best way to wear a sweater is cross body!! Tying it diagonally cuts your shape into triangles and makes the outfit more visually interesting :) love seeing your cool clothing pieces ! Thank you for sharing!!
The second look being like nobody puts baby in a corner. And that one with olive satin dress and cropped shirt is a keeper!!! Thank you for the video. Love love love various formats of vlogs on your channel
I feel like I have been having a clothing identity crisis. I have so many cute clothes that I either don't know how to wear, or don't feel confident in. Recently I started taking photos of outfits that I put together and felt really confident in or thought were really adorable. I feel like it has not only made me more aware of what it is I like but has cut down the amount of times where I want to get cute and don't know what to wear because if I am short on time I will just reference my photos. If I don't go with an exact outfit I already wore I will at least be inspired or know what vibe I am going for that day.
Your outfits are my favorite and so on point, I always take inspo from them because they reflect my personal style too. Caroline you just have taste in so many aspects of your life and I love to see people who have good taste executing it well🤭
I can relate to your relationship with clothes very much! (Even if maybe for totally different reasons...) :D I mostly wore my brothers clothes growing up, because they fit me and it wasn't really that big of a deal to me how I looked in them back then. I never hated these clothes, on the contrary. I remember really liking them. But with puberty in the late 2000s and the internet - and being very much into tumblr - of course, this took a turn. Since then I really didn't know what I was doing clothing-wise. I almost never went out to buy something. Only, if there was something I REALLY needed. And if I did, second hand seemed to be my only option. Not because I didn't like anything. I just didn't know where to start and anything I already had and liked enough seemed safer than trying something else. It became kind of my style in a way to always show up everywhere quite underdressed. Even when I started making more money, that didn't change... Long story short: Thanks to some RUclipsrs I watched the last couple months I managed to get a hold of myself and did a really thorough wardrobe "clear-out". I know a lot more about clothing and materials now and what to buy to get me where I wanna be, to make me feel confident in the clothes I am wearing... :) I hope, this essay isn't tmi. :D Anyways: I had a lot of fun watching your video!
First off I love your style and think you have an excellent sense of what works for you! I would be really curious to know your Kibbe body type because it might help you figure out the nuances of proportion (like whether that big white sweater is too big) because you have such a slight frame. The kibbe test is totally extremely involved and I know a lot of people don't have patience for it but I've found it SO helpful in defining my own style!
Also I lived in DC too and totally understand the whole conservative vibe and how it can be a damper on style 😩 holla to living in NYC where you can do anything!
My favorite outfit is Flirty Academic Abroad (“she’s literate AND a lady” part 2)! Love socks with Mary Jane’s. I figured out last year my three words to describe my style are: inviting, feminine, and understated; therefore, I love your pairing your hat or “grandma cardigan” with a dressier outfit to make it more casual and approachable.
WOOHOOOOO i've wanted a Caroline outfits video for so long, i'm always a fan of them. letsgooooo! (and yes i actually have a photo album in my phone for outfits i liked the most in the week so i can look back on it...)
I love you. I don't know anybody on RUclips who is as relatable as you. You're quirky, fun and whatever it is your talking about, you say stuff that could be controversial but say it in a way that is exactly the way I think too but can't vocalize widely becuz it's gonna get taken the wrong way.

I thought so too!
That black top with the open back is great! My favorite top ever has an interesting back, I need more of those. Oh, and take up knitting, trust me. You can make whatever you want and it's very satisfying, also a good excuse to linger in coffee shops for hours.
YOU ARE BEING SO ACTIVE LATELY and I'm thankful for that
I already know I’m going to love the video, but first I need to say that I am OBSESSED with the thumbnail. Darling idea, the paper doll theme 😭💞✨
Exactly!!! I am so old I actually remember playing with Betsy
Mc Call paper dolls from McCalls magazine! ( Google it) ❤
aw thank you!
Also, the Wife life sweater remains hilarious 😁
Greets from Amsterdam. 😊👋
Every time I watch one of your videos I notice your outfits, and every time I am like "She is so cute, she is so Caroline." So maybe even if it doesn't feel like you have a distinct style I think that people can feel it and they know that you're being true to yourself
I totally get you loving to listen to people‘s internal monologue on outfits, sometimes I put on fashion vids only for the background chat without looking at the outfits at all, lol
ive really been getting into them recently on YT! i feel like it's really refreshed my recommended feed too
I relate to the lad mood! I've inherited my 13 year old son's wardrobe as he has grown, and let me tell you hun, it HITS!
hahaha it's no fun to have lad forced upon you. i hope he has some cute skirts
@@aaaaaaae-aae her tees are from skins I believe. She might have a code from the previous video.
The first dress is adorable! I usually tie sweaters over one soulder and then under the armpit (ish) - so diagonally rather then over the shoulders. Maybe that feels better looks wise
these outfits are delightful and so is the vibe of this video in general. love to see you confidently rocking what you wear, especially after hearing on the podcast how people's comments about your clothes can really get to you. keep doing your thing girl, you look great ❤
I loved a lot of these looks. I like that you wear the
little red bag you thrifted a while ago.
that first skirt i think you wore in a video many months ago and it inspired me to get it and i love it (as someone who also feels too old to shop at american eagle)
also, if you enjoy planning outfits i love using an app, i use whering but also theres indyx, where you can log your clothes, create outfits, track cost per wear, etc. and i find it really useful to see what i actually like wearing! its also just fun to plan outfits that way
I think your style gives Buffy Summers. Truly adorable, as always
Yes!
oo interesting - i never really watched buffy but i do love a classic 90s look so maybe that's coming through!
@@Caroline_Winkler It’s so worth the watch. I promise.
❤️❤️ I loved your point about choosing to wear your nicer things everyday just because
“I might beat you up but then afterwards I’ll take you to a picnic”
I think that right there is the defining statement.
You’re so fun to watch, never change, so many utubers start out so down to earth and funny, then get popular and change!
Your posing and facial expressions are harkening back to Zoolander and I love 💕🫶🏼
Those A&F jeans are heaven-sent omg
I love cardigans too. I like to button a few buttons before putting it on my shoulders, it reduces the outta control bulk. ❤
The licenced music makes your videos unique and refreshing.❤ You must be taking a hit but i think it really makes the video so enjoyable.😊
im so glad u enjoy it! it's not a big loss actually, luckily. a subscriber once commented that i should check out Lickd - and you pay maybe $15 per month as a subscription, and then a one-time $50 for a hit song like Espresso. So it's not costing me my retirement fund, and it makes the videos so fun
I'm glad you figured that out Caroline cos I remember when you did the gym video you said you couldn't monetise because of it which was sad.
And it does make the videos so fun!
I so love the paper doll picture. I used to play with them.
oh for sure
00:30👗 We all have that internal dialogue with our clothes, evaluating what works and what doesn't.
02:18👚 While my style changes, I enjoy exploring and sharing my personal looks.
05:02👠 I'm learning to invest in quality pieces that last longer, rather than buying many disposable items.
09:56🧦 My favorite looks include comfortable and fun garments, like flowing dresses and unexpected combinations.
14:59🩴 Sometimes I feel constrained by the conservative atmosphere of my city, but I'm rediscovering the fun in fashion.
16:00👗 The speaker discusses the challenge of investing in more expensive clothing pieces for sustainability and longevity.
16:51🎒 She highlights her preference for thrifting while balancing it with investing in well-made, durable items.
17:56👟 Expresses difficulty in spending money on high-cost items like shoes, emphasizing the balance between quality and cost.
18:45🛍 Talks about her shopping preferences and the internal debate over buying more sustainable versus cheaper, disposable clothing.
19:50🎒 Reflects on her evolving shopping habits, moving towards purchasing fewer, better-quality items over numerous cheaper ones.
I love seeing other people's style! Please make another one for fall! I also struggle to spend money on clothes that make me feel good - it feels so frivolous and wasteful but when I do and I go out in a cute outfit I feel like a million bucks!
The matching top and skirt LOVE.
The way you gush at Abi is adorable and everyone needs a friend like Caroline 🥹
Joe Fresh is a clothing line found in Loblaws grocery stores in Canada. It is definitely fast fashion, and was linked to some very unfortunate factories in Bangladesh, for which the company got lots of heat. It blew over. We ALL wear a bit of Joe Fresh up here and I’m actually wearing a years old dress right now. It’s my house dress I sometimes wear out.
J.C.Penney used to carry Joe Fresh. We need a part 2.
When my hair was longer (in my youth) I'd do the head flip for volume too.😉
I didn't check to be sure no one else said this, so this may be redundant, but when you wear the sweater over your shoulders, I think it would be best buttoned or done with a sweater w/o buttons ❤️🙏
This was one of my most fun videos to watch. It was like trying on clothes with a good friend. So random from you. I love it
Buttoning the sweater before tying it around your shoulders helps!
Came here to say that Bombas actually does walk the walk. I’m an ER nurse and I ALWAYS see unhoused patients wearing Bombas👏🏻👏🏻 Also you can just tell that they are waaaaay better quality than what they usually have access to🥲
Thank you for sharing this!! Great to hear 😊 I love their socks
Thank you for sharing!!
bombas socks are genuinely so good. Glad ur partnering with them!
I’m a chronic spinster and I need the wife life sweatshirt omg. Your style is impeccable!
(Even if maybe for totally different reasons...) :D
I mostly wore my brothers clothes growing up, because they fit me and it wasn't really that big of a deal to me how I looked in them back then.
I hope, this essay isn't tmi.
Loving the eye shadow. I didnt realise till now that your eyes are green!
The Reformation dress is everything! I would love it in the fall or early spring with a chunky sweater and combat boots. Worth in investment.
Not sure if someone already suggested this but to help with the cardigan draping, button up the sweater then drape it. It helps with those “wings”
I love you. I don't know anybody on RUclips who is as relatable as you. You're quirky, fun and whatever it is your talking about, you say stuff that could be controversial but say it in a way that is exactly the way I think too but can't vocalize widely becuz it's gonna get taken the wrong way.
I think you're style is perfectly relatable for people working from home and are not influencers. Not as "polished" but has a lot more personality!
You described your style incredibly well! I see flirty, classic and tyke in all of your outfits. love that white skirt and socks!
Love love your Joe Fresh dress! (Pair with ballet flats) love your taste🫡
I love your style! And your descriptors are perfect. Love this video!
Haha Caroline after what you said about your headspace when making this vid in the pod, this is IMPRESSIVE!! 👀So much fun and its so nice to keep note of your favourite combos - I feel like 80 year old caroline will look back and be like hell yes I was so cute hahahaha thanks for sharing!
haha thank youuuuu it was a struggle
sweater tip! before tying it around your shoulders button it up so it's less wide!
Love all your outfits and your style in general! Don't try to fit in, go crazy and stay bold - just love it! "Life is too short - use this China and nice dishes" Caroline you hit nail on the head!!👏👏😍
I want a fall/winter version of this! I love this video
outfit 10 pink cardigan and tartan skirt is bomb, best outfit
Loved this one, Caroline!💞 My favourite is the Wife Life outfit! Thanks.🙂
The amount of times I google image searched a top or dress of yours!! love your style and I am so excited for this video
That flower arrangement in the beginning is amaaazing
i've had cardigan envy for so long, thank you for the links queen!!!
I LOVED this video! I enjoy your videos generally, but I just want to let you know that, while you may have felt awkward making this, it totally worked and was so fun to watch! I especially loved the hilarious descriptions for each style/outfit. I’m with you; it’s cool to hear someone talk through the thinking going into their outfit curation. Also, the outfits were stinkin cute!
My husband is also a big camper/hiker.
Would love a video with hiking/outdoor outfit ideas ❤
Thrift/second hand online a handful of quality pieces. That's what I do anyways. Win win.
Love outfit 5 and 6! The institutional white on white look is a summer classic. Endless ways to accessorize it.
When I first saw the thumbnail on my home page, I thought „damn, that is so cool. I‘ll subscribe just for this!“ - then I noticed it was you, who I‘ve been following for like a year!
Amazing work, Caroline, it looks so cool!
Joe fresh is superstore brand in canada, low ball! Comfy,he was on Dragons Den.......
LOVE your sense of humor! I found I had to pause the video several times to go check out the online shops! Great video and you look so cute and adorable in everything!🥰
Literally have been watching your videos on repeat this week and can I just say how relatable you are! You remind me of a friend of mine (yall look pretty similar & have the same mannerisms it’s uncanny!) but honestly it’s so nice to just hear something from a social media influencer who just makes you feel relaxed in your own skin. You motivate me to clean and to laugh at myself while doing it! Thanks for making my work day a little more joyful with the bouts of laughter and “YAAAS GIRL” moments from your show! Also has anyone ever told you that you look like the girl on New Girl who plays the main character Jess? 😂❤ love it!
Just the fact that you moved furniture to film this is so appreciated!
I knew from the intonation of how Abi said “how her upbringing influenced fashion” that she must also be ex-Mormon lol - love that you pulled her in to share that and can’t wait to follow along with the blog. Adore your content as always Caroline 💕
I love your style so much and I'm so glad you did this video cause I wanted to know more about how you put together an outfit. Thank you!
Caroline, I didn't even know I needed a hearty, wholesome laugh fest! Thanks for making me smile and laugh. Sending love. I appreciate you.
