Love your suggestions for the bedroom! But usually we don't really do comforters in Germany. An extra throw blanket might do. And as you can see, each person gets their own blanket/duvet whatever your local word is. It's fantastic, you can turn yourself into a burrito and your partner doesn't have to get their blanket stolen. Also very handy if the two of you have different levels of warmth. You can still share if you want to. And! You don't need an extra pillow for between your legs, the blanket can do that, too.

Another remark to the bed suggestions. All fair but WHO wants extra pillows? Okay, they might look better, but I even hate it in hotels, they need to be put elsewhere when the beds are being used for sleeping. And beds are made for sleeping! Could be a cultural thing. • @ginnyjorgensen9748
      @ginnyjorgensen9748 2 месяца назад +2

the trouble with curtains over water radiators is the heat can be trapped between the curtain and the window and not warm the room much if the curtains are too long or too close to the radiator. Also, the warmth may not set them on fire but after enough time it can affect the color and integrity of the fabric.

As much as I love the look of radiator covers, they make them a lot more inefficient. Radiators rely on air circulation to work, that's why they are usually under windows.
Try to keep at least the area above them somewhat open as that's where they give off most of their heat. Maybe instead of a solid board you could use a steel grate like they use for outdoor stairs and paint it a nice color. That should maintain decent air flow and you could still place one or two decorative object on top of it.

Most Viennese take laws as guidelines and ignore the ones that inconvenience them. But if Hannah has a shitty landlord or petty service technicians, she could get in trouble putting the IKEA units around the boiler. In case of a gas fire, the home insurance wouldn't have to cover the damages.

Love your interior design content! Additional suggestions:
    1. Vienna hallway: definitely, paint the wall, add a runner tying the colors together, and hang the mirror. Maybe a small gallery wall opposite the door, on the other side of the suggested sconce. And, if new cabinets are not in the budget, hide them with a folding screen. Another option is a curtain (here me out, Caroline!) in the same color as the wall and hung floor to ceiling on an IKEA ceiling track that wraps around the unit. Bonus: it’ll hide the tank.
    2. Nook: if there’s no dedicated office or dining space in the apartment, create an office-dining combo here. Shelves on one wall only can double as sideboard or use low storage as banquette paired with a round table. Alternatively, fill the space with a decadently comfortable hanging daybed or porch swing, floating above a sheepskin rug. Definitely, add sconce lighting and a plant.
PS: cute outfit! It reminds me of what we wore to middle-school in the early 80s (yeah, I’m that old; go Gen X!). The mary-janes were those Chinese-style velvet flats and we’d have added scrunched leggings to match the sweater, lol. Your version is much better!

Love this series. The extra large bedroom I thought could be an office space too. Same with Cole’s nook. I work from home so having nooks like that would be ideal.

That colour does not wash you out, yellow is hella cute for a sweater. Love your vids, and your podcast " Not for Everyone" If you ever find yourself and or + Justin in Berlin, Germany, and are in need of a free place to stay to explore Berlin for a few weeks, we’d be thrilled to have you over in exchange for some advice on our new apartment! ❤👩🏼‍🏫🪚⚒

when the video started my first thought was "wow the sweater colour is lovely! ". Personally, I think colors that flatter us is so limiting - it's more joyful to wear what makes us happy. The whole fit is so cute too!

I have been in a TN lately and didn’t realize how much I’d miss the room in the a5!! I love the compact nature of the smaller than a5 sizes for carrying it but I get a bit stifled in the smaller sizes. Plus I am already over halfway thru my TN and I have only set up the yearly spreads, gone thru my October setup, and haven’t finished my November setup even!

New to your Channel! Loving it so far. You have a very good simple straightforward aesthetic explanation style that probably resonates with a lot of people who do not find interior design to be in their wheelhouse. One thing I wanted to ease your mind about is that you are not going to start a fire by letting a curtain sit on a radiator certainly not recommended, especially with synthetic fibers as they might melt. But it is not a fire hazard a radiator is a forced hot water heating apparatus that does not ever get hot enough to ignite fabric. This is why people use it to dry their clothes. Something I did often as a kid to warm my clothes up in the morning when it was cold. When covering a radiator with any type of apparatus or Furniture you want to give it space for the heat to escape and not be trapped. But you can set your mind at ease that it is not a fire hazard. Keep up the good work! Love your content

Greetings from Germany. Currently trying to survive the first months with my soon 4 months old baby boy, who is very sweet but also very clingy and a bad sleeper. He only sleeps in a carrier (going to need physio for my back) or on the bed with my breast tucked into his mouth. Therefore cannot move away during his nap times because he always wakes up and then have to deal with a overtired baby. So your videos are keeping me company and sane during these many hours of making my baby nap. Please keep going. You are humankind a large service.

Viel Erfolg ❤

If you didn't want to spend the money on the cabinets,in the first space, you could put up a roller shade. that drops down from the ceiling to the floor, in rattan or something like that. And that beat bag nook would be great place for a wall of plants. Lots of light.

At the 25:00 mark, or so, even before you started describing what sort of mirror you'd hang there, I immediately thought of that gorgeous Ikea Lindbyn mirror, specifically the oval/racetrack shaped one. Which is much bigger, and has a much narrower frame and has curves.
I can't believe I actually got something 'right' in this whole thing! I'm learning...! :D

True. Unless the walls are special (like the building is historical and so is the wallpaper or something of the sort). In most cases you can paint the walls but you will have to restore them to their original colour when you move out. Check your contract for a clause regarding those walls.

Your outfit is super adorable. As are you! You throw together outfits that are as stylish, cohesive & fabulous as your room/space edits. I love this video series and it jumps through the screen just how much you love doing them. I'm retired and watch a F-ton of RUclips. So saying you're my favorite channel is really saying something. I love all your videos and it ALWAYS brightens my day when I see a new one pop up. I'm forever wishing you that next ugly RUclips plaque. 😄
