it’s officially September which means I have to fantasize about fall fashion instead of face the reality that it’s still 100 degrees out for the sake of my well being! instead of talking about more mainstream fashion trends for fall 2024, I wanted to talk about some trends that I have still seen circulating and becoming more popular but it’s not “suede” or “burgundy” because that’s already been talked about! hope you enjoy and agree that we all need to be decked out in chainmail come October!💋💋

it’s the stylish type of unique too. some vloggers try to be unique but the outfits they come up with are just ridiculous.
i actually agree with a lot of the trends you mentioned! they totally make sense as a natural progression. also i have to say you look absolutely stunning in this video! that top? dress? situation is gorgeous and your bangs are banging. as someone who got bangs earlier this year i can 100% relate to the bandana method. you can't go wrong!
okay first off THANK YOU!! Dress is vintage from the 80s and the bangs were behaving this day so obviously I had to film with them cooperating so well:) happy I didn’t seem too crazy and these actually make a bit of sense🤞🏼🤞🏼

Out of idol curiosity, I’m watching because I like your style. I’m gen X so I just wear what I like, which is vintage and witchy. Most people don’t really get it, but I spent too many years of my life trying to please others. My style is now for me. Long story longer, I’m just not that worried about what current trends are doing. I have two daughters in middle school to keep me clued in. One said I embarrassed her. I asked her how and she said my outfit. I told her, “guess what. Having a weird parent builds character”. 💀🤷🏼♀️
as a 16 yr old she’s so real for that it adds to the lore
I would love to have you as my mom, I'm sure your outfits are super cool. I think it's just because when you are a teenager you prefer to fit in, and not stand out in any way
@@beatricetoscano2247 thanks. I think they will appreciate my authenticity and individuality, as they get older. Middle school is tough. It comes from a long hard process of healing from years of abuse, but that’s another story.
Love the pirate victorian core! Would love to see a lookbook with that aesthetic. I live in Berlin and I "made up" a Cottage Core techno vibe haha, so corsets, fishnets, chunky boots... the juxtaposition of these aesthetics is so cool!

the trend cycle is moving so fast we are getting back to how I dressed in high school in 2014 which is wannabe free people boho…and I love it

Haha that's me now. I have jewelry I wore in the 70's as a young girl. I I also have jewelry handed down to me from my mom and my mother-in-law. and stuff I have collected through the years on my thrifting trips. And I love stacking it as pictured. I have a little of each category you mentioned. I could not pull off the Juliet cap at my age.

ive been wishing for a medieval renaissance because i love the costume design in house of the dragon so much but i’m having such a hard time finding keywords to find cool pieces on vinted that i’ll actually be able to incorporate in my wardrobe 😭 can’t find inspo anywhere!

I feel like the 2024 version of the medieval/boho revival is what I would dub "frontier-core," like its giving 1870s Western town...very romantic and flowy but still with some structured and/or workwear inspired items. It incorporates both masculine and feminine elements i.e. something you could wear on horseback but also to the local saloon...

Yay I love your take on trends. For me my autumn uniform consists of my trusty 501s, long denim skirts, thin turtle necks and lightweight vintage leather jackets (I live in the UK). But I’m thinking of thrifting some of the accessories that you mentioned here like charms for my bag and bandanas to make my outfits feel new!

I have this fringe leather jacket that I’ve been holding onto for years and trying to style when it gets cooler but it’s just not my color 🥲 feels like it’s so much harder to find cool toned leather jackets than warm toned
If you aren’t wearing it anyway, you might be able to try and get it dyed gray or something - I’ve brought bags to a leather bag restoration place where they redye stuff like that. It can change the leather texture but it should soften

Ok wait, the victorian pirate trend... I actually love this because lately I've been saying I want to give off the look of "casual ren faire". I lean a little more into the browns and golds than black and silver but I am allll for this.
YES to the casual ren faire vibe…I went back in April and the outfit I wore was barely different from how I like to dress IRL🫢

I feel like the trends really got all over the place, we have medieval, pirate, native American and south American outerwear, then leather jackets and long coats, on top of it crochet. At this point I just wear what I like and I never felt out of place whether something is a current trend or not. Though I will look for boots similar to yours, they rock - I don't like too fancy or too grungey ones.
The trend I love and guess it's already over is gradients. Bought a long dress with brownish gradients right around Dune 2 and the top that goes from white to dark blue. The company is Reserved, a chain from Poland but I'm sure something similar can be found in the US
I've never come across your channel before and I'm so glad I did. You have such an eye for fashion and fun personality. However, I think you need to work a bit more on your editing for the video. Several times when you made cuts the audio overlapped, which created a more stressful and fast-paced tone. Like you didn't even finish a sentence before the next oke started 😂 I prefer more slow paced content so it's easier to listen and reflect on what the speaker is saying. Also because I like to have YT in the background but for this video it felt like I needed to be fully present to be able to hear every word you said. A tip is to add ~0.5 of silence between cuts to create a more understandable flow.
I gotta be so honest, I'm a girlie that LOVES clown things but the vertical red and white stripes are absolutely giving Uncle Sam and I'm unsee it 😭I love love love the striped red tights though!! I would also really love to get into the super stacked necklace look, but every time I try, they always end up super tangled. Is that how it is for everyone bc I love the look but not enough to untangle all day

Just stumbled upon your video. I had so many of those pieces in my late 70s to early 80s vintage & eclectic wardrobe. Back then, I stuck out and was teased (and sometimes randomly complimented). May you find my tall lace up boots, long skirts, Navy top, boy scout sash and more out there.
I gained a bit of weight and had dull cubicle jobs in the big 80s/90s, and lost my style mojo for too long.

I’ve seen some brands like free people, Frye, and Jeffrey Campbell recently release lace up knee high boots but they’re pretty expensive and I would go with vintage at that point (if you can) BEST OF LUCK🤞🏼💋💋

I have been wanting a pair of tall, lace up leather boots with a low walking heel forever. I've considered having a pair made (I usually need a wide calf option in a tall boot & I dislike faux leather because it doesn't last) It would be worth the investment since I would wear them with everything 😮
I know it is hard to, but don't be afraid of aging; I am much more at peace with myself, even with mental health issues, at 39 than I ever was in my 20's - also, I don't worry as much about the small things or what other people think of me 😊

I love when mainstream fashion RUclipsrs tell me that kimonos, asymmetrical, waterfall, hanky & hi-lo hems are OUT. Not in my closet they're not. And now suddenly wider, flare leg & looser pants are in style? Never left my closet actually & neither did maxi dresses & skirts. I do wear bandanas but mostly to keep my hair from getting paint in it (I'm an artist) or just out of my way when I am doing stuff. It's too thick to wear comfortably in a pony or bun. I love hats but my head gets hot wearing them & you'd think you were wearing a dead skunk on your head the way people react to a hat 😮 But I love me an embellished head band or hair clip. I'm enjoying the current trends since so many of them vibe with colors & silhouettes I already like & wear. Ankle boots & high top sneakers are staples worn year round but I'd really love tall lace up boots like what you showed in the video. I've been looking for a pair for years now. I always described my aesthetic/style jokingly as Vintage-Boho-Witch (gypsy is not an acceptable term anymore) But yeah there are definitely elements of whimsy goth I vibe with. 😊

I found 5 gorgeous vintage suede jackets on Posh. About 1/4 price of one new, and so much better! Found a few suede midis also. Guess I’ve got a good start to a “collection”. I think Posh is low in stock now, I bought the best ones! 😂😂😂
