Is the matte version truly matte compared to the original Universal? And do you prefer it? I would love to see comparison here on RUclips but I’m not finding any comparison reviews here
They have the best customer service. I had ordered the tinted one yet when it arrived and I used it, I reacted to the chemicals in it. I emailed them to return and get the all mineral, they let me keep both of the 2 checmical ones I had purchased to give to a friend. Very nice ppl there!

Me too! I like that I now have a choice - I might even play with mixing it with some of my more "glossy" sunscreens!
Thanks for trying on the matte sunscreen. I have the mineral and chemical sunscreens from DRMTLGY, which are my HG sunscreens, but I have been thinking about trying the matte now that the sale is on. I am 10 years older than you and enjoy the moisturizing effects of these sunscreens, but I have also experienced needing to powder them so they don't feel too slippery. I do not care for the sunscreen powder they recently released. I also use the luminous eye cream. I'm trying the Peptide Night Cream and the C, E, and F Serum.
I have most things from drmtlgy. Right now I'm using the c,E,F, the needleless, the new barrier moisturizer, the advanced eye, and the HPR. I also have the eye brightener, but am taking a pause from it. Oh, and my HG brightening eye mask. I will never be without it! I stopped using both the universal and physical because they feel a little too "greasy" on me so I'm looking forward to the new matte. It should be here any day. I like drmtlgy products, but I look for cheaper things like vitamin C, but something Doctorly said has me going back to drmtlgy.
Oh but I do care for skin care! Please do videos on skin care products ❤❤❤❤❤

I’ve been waiting for a review of this because I love the regular one. I have never put foundation over it though, I use it as an all-in-one and it gives a flawless finish for me but I do think it can be a little shiny. So I’m really happy about the matte BUT I still have a lot left in the current bottle and I have a brand new one (of the regular) in my fridge that I bought during the last sale.
If I wear foundation for some reason I love love love the drmtlgy daydream cream as sunscreen, foundation, and primer. It is gorgeous. Would you do a review on that? I got it in a “mystery box” and immediately loved it.

I just saw this in my email . Figured it wasn’t for me. Looks great and sounds like it feels great too! Now , question with the 1/4 tsp SPF , does that include the neck? My derm says yes, but they differ I find. I love the spf eye cream as it doesn’t burn my eyes when I sweat . I am tired of the SPF TINTED stains on my shirts . But it’s worth it, like Tula, to get coverage
/ then out the door where you will see someone you know for sure! I like the rms new bronzer over TINTED SPF dermtolgy , for an easy wash of color. I also got the MOB lipliner that they reformulated (1990)

Technically - the 1/4 teaspoon is just for face but I cheat and do it for face and neck! I agree, both tinted sunscreens and foundations stain, such a drag. I do sometimes use Dior Face and Body on my neck, but the color is a bit too warm.

I’m interested in skin care, Kiki! The original Universal tinted sunscreen was greasy on me and too dark. The matte appeals to me, but curious if the tint is the same as the original or lighter? Have fun with Grace on your hike!
The original was also too dark and warm for me, this one is lighter!

I’m looking forward to trying this brand! I agree with you in regard to the amount of sunscreen but I think people forget the amount is for face AND neck. If you wanted to apply just to your face (not sure why) then you could use a little less 😆 but who knows maybe it is I who is mistaken 😅

Thank you for reviewing this. I've been waiting for someone to tell us how this is. I already ordered it, but it isn't here yet. I was curious if it was too dry or too "greasy" still. I have the mineral and it's so "greasy". I am going to start tretinoin as soon as it arrives and dome people say skin becomes drier using it so maybe my face will become normal. At 68, I'm still oily skinned and I hate it.
Tret makes my skin a little drier for sure, you may have the same experience.
Oh, no sunscreen on your neck? I use the DRMTLGY clear on. my neck/chest so no tint on clothing.

1 more thing, did it completely dry down for you? I have such issue using mineral ss's they just stay creamy and I really have to powder my foundation (I don't have an hour to wait for it to set up) just curious if it set down and how long it took if so..
This doesn't stay creamy at all. I had no slip when I used fingers for my foundation.

I wouldn't say that - they are entirely different. But, this is the first matte sunscreen I've tried that doesn't make my skin feel dry and I think it will be useful when I want a sunscreen that's not shiny.

Nope! While I do pull down to my neck - the rule is 1/4 teaspoon for the face.
@leahn4267 my dermatologist recommends 1/4 tsp for face and neck. Everyone on the internet says something different🤷♀️
