Little house on the prairie. That's what came to mind when I saw lemon verbena.
a drunk college student fell on my tree/plant thing, and snapped it in half. heck i think it grows even better now. sometimes my mexican neighbors ask for some and i always have plenty. so they get to help themselves, because they are not greedy. :D also i think my cat has a syrian rue and white sage addiction. probably more than the organic catnip i grow.
You do not want to use it for the skin the oils have phototoxins in it witch makes skin irritable when in the sun love the rest of the video thanks for the video it is a really diverse plant

This is a lovely video, happiness and joy radiating from you is like seeing the smile on Gods face. I have lemon verbena (here in UK) and it's growing in my apartment, smells amazing, going to trim a little then put out in hall way so that it can get some sunshine. I put my leaves in Vodka to make room spray for bathroom, it is also useful as a window cleaner and helps keep flies etc away. Hope I learn to get my plant looking as good as yours. At the moment it's looking spindly, but from your videos and comments I now learned that it likes full sun. Thank you for sharing 💚

Only have one plant and love the smell of it. I read you can keep the plant indoors over the winter ,
I left mine outside last winter because I thought it was an annual. It died out over the winter, but came back this spring! I’m in NC.

Great video...learned some new stuff..thank you!! I am over dehydrating for right now...my peppers flopped and my herbs are taking forever and the electricity on top of that...so I came across a tip...put herbs in a paper bag and put them in the car for 7 to 10 days and they are done....so when I get unmad I will try it..LOL
Great idea. I am going to try this. I save my orange rinds and put them in vinegar for cleaner. But I like your idea with the alcohol as a disinfectant for the bathroom. Thanks!!!
The longer you let it set The stronger the lemon will be It really works well With a strong scent herb

I think I may try and grow lemon verbena on my patio farm this year. I love the lemon flavored herbs and spices to flavor foods so this will be an experiment for me to see if I can grow it in the south in a large pot. And I hope I can find the starter plant around one of the stores or plant centers here. Thank you for introducing me to lemon verbena.👍💙

I don't have lemon Verbena so I may use fresh squeezed lemons and make that disinfectant I am going to try that next. Excellent video. I need that herb book gonna look for it. I may look to get lemon balm to grow what would you recommend. I am very much interested in growing more herbs and plants in general. This is a great instruction video. I think you should keep the intro of you dancing in the rain I love watching you dance. I enjoy your instructional videos Iv'e learned a lot from you. I have some verbena coconut body oil, I love the smell
Add oregano leaves for stronger disinfectant. Lemon verbena smells amazing but doesn't have enough by itself to act as a disinfectant.
I think there's going to be a lot of people searching for lemon verbena herb plants including me. Do any of your herb plants overwinter in your garden. I'm curious as you live so far north and have snow and much colder weather than we do here. I have had good luck with mine year round in the past. Ask because your plant is so big and you got a basket full for making cleaner. I so wish I'd kept my book on herbs instead of donating it and others. That gives me a good reason to look online for one as I'm wanting to get back into growing more again. Thanks for giving the timeframe for when the cleaner is ready to use. I have to say I absolutely love your new intro as it seems to represent you so well. We don't often get to see the fun side of creators and I like seeing it. I have another herb question. When you harvest herbs, how far done the stem do you cut them? I don't know if you cut them down and only leave 2 inches from the soil or what. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. My brain is off a bit today.

We're can I find lemon verbena. Can I start it like you did with the cuttings of herbs. I have a mieris store a few towns north of were I live. And good to know that you can use for cleaning. Can you use it for a mosquito repellent. God bless you for sharing. I would love to start a herb garden like yours. I did have mint & oregano so far. I've planted seeds of lavender basil & thyme.

@@shirleydrake1602 a lot of things are disappearing. But I did find top crop & blue lake Bush beans and ruby red carrots. I got a pound of each. And I will save all if the seeds I can this year for the next year's too come.. my friend was gifted one gallon of seed corn and used it for years . She just kept it in the freezer til she used it. And I was gifted 1 lb. Of Kentucky Wonder pole beans in 2009 and used them til 2019.

love how healthy your lemon verbena is!! I’ve been growing mine in full sun here in south florida but it doesn’t get as bushy as yours, sometimes the leaves are yellowish and every couple of months it gets mealybug infestations same thing goes for my thai basil and it’s very hard to get rid of. Do you have any recommendations on how to avoid it? any homemade insecticidal soap that you can recommend or anything? thanks!
I really am not sure I plant mine on the deck and I use my dish water to water it ! All that I use is my dish soap my homemade soap That seems to work well with it

Not sure if you mentioned , the kind of alcohol you used ( isopropanol) ,which is very different from most other alcohols, for external use only, compare to methanol internally ,,and ethanol ( wood alcohol) is poisonous, usually just for burning such as small amo stoves or heaters.
