Those of you EDC with 30 mags & drums aren't very smart. The point of this type of hand gun is concealment. NOT open carry. You're totally missing the purpose of its size.

I have been a Journeyman Machinist since 1994. There are a few things I have learned. When it comes to manufacturing, simple is better. The K.I.S.S. principle is a beautiful thing. Glocks are simple to use and maintain. They do not use 100 parts when 26 will do. The way they change their products but maintain the core concept is wonderful. Being former military I find their reliability a major plus. I trust my life and the lives of my loved ones to my Glocks. I own many, and plan to buy more. All of my other hand guns are put away. I am becoming a "Glock fanboy", and I am ok with that. God Bless.
Just picked up a 26 gen 5 yesterday. What a great shooting pistol! Fits great in my hand, just performs terrifically. Thanks for the great review all these years later; really helpful to someone new to the compact 9mm/ conceal carry world like me.
I bought my Glock 26 in 1996 and have carried it almost daily with 1000's of rounds through it. Recently bought the Magpull 12 round magazines that had a little lip on the bottom. I really like them. Started carrying Magpull G19 mags with the G26 12 round mags and put the G17 mags in the safe. Good review.
I carried a Glock 23 for 20 of my 36 years in law enforcement, and carried a G27 off duty. Today, as a retired L.E. officer, I carry a Glock 43. I always felt that my Glocks could meet any threat I may encounter either on duty, or off, and I still feel that way today. They are utterly reliable, and utterly deadly.
@@billybob042665 I purchased a Taurus G-2-C and I love this weapon, 100 rounds in a lifetime? I'll fire 1000 rounds on a Saturday afternoon. I've been carrying a G26 as a back-up and off-duty and now as a retired police officer, since 1996 or so. I love this gun! It is accurate and reliable. I love the "no bells and whistles" characteristics of this little gun. It's all business and just works great. Like you, I usually carry it with the +2 extension, but the rest is all stock.
now the question i check ebay there are chrome slides but only for 1 2 3 4 gens should i buy put on gen 5? i mean it will fit it? or am i gonna go through some issues?
I agree, Ive carried my Sig 938 rosewood for yrs but trust my Gen 4 G26 as edc with Pearce grip extensions on 10 rnd. mags. Using my G17,G19, mags plus 33 round factory mags.#Glock
Today I bought my first handgun, and this is it. Due in large part to your outstanding videos, you helped me make an informed choice. I loved shooting this gun and I’m looking forward to honing my skills through continued training and range time. Thanks for your great work and dedication.
Glock is reliable because Glock is simple. When I really need a gun, the SIGs and HKs stay in the safe, I feel more confident with my Glocks. They always work.
SIG and HK are both used by militaries around the world. If it's good enough for the military it should be good enough for a civilian that won't put the gun through nowhere near the same abuse
Agreed. Their reliability comes at least in part, from their simplicity. The rest of it comes from some amazing engineering and precision execution in the manufacturing process.
I just bought the 26 Gen 5. Wow I am really impressed. I was sold on the gen 3 and didn't think I would ever buy another Gen. I am glad GLOCK nailed it with the 26.
Glocks are perfect and I don't want them to make a lot of changes for the sake of change. The 26 and the 19 are the two guns that I recommend to my friends and newbie students. The Gen5 26 and the 19X are fabulous, and that's all there is to it.
Your videos and Hickok45 videos are my ‘goto’ videos for firearm reviews! I learn so much from both of you and have purchased firearms from both videos. Thank you sootch!
That gen 5 is such a beauty!! I really like the finish of the new Gen 5 Glocks. I agree, don't change too much. Not much you can change if it is already perfect anyway. I like it!
Don't have the Gen 5 yet, but the 26 Gen 4 is my ccw. The ability to carry concealed with G19, G17, or even the 33 round back-up mags can't be beat. Love the versatility of the baby glock. Great review.
I love my new Gen 5 / G26....my first Glock and I get it now. I'll be getting the Gen 5 / G19 & G17 very soon. Being left handed the Glock Gen 5 slide stop-release actually works properly, and easily...makes this my new favorite.
I have a Glock 43 Gen 4 and just recently purchased the Glock 26 Gen 5 and I absolutely love it! This thing can shoot right out of the box! It's accurate and very little recoil compared to other sub compacts. I love my Glock 26 Gen 5.
I carry my Glock G26 Gen 4 every day. I have started using the Magpul G26 mags for concealed carry and a Factory G17 mag in my pocket. I'm going to continue to carry my G26, I think the gen 5 is great. I may buy one of them because of the barrel. Thanks for the review Sootch.
Agreed, my Gen4 G26 w/Pearce grip extentions on 10 rnd. mags edc will be hard to beat and tried G43 selling it quickly. G17,G19, 33 rnd. factory mags all run perfect too!#GlockPerfection@ James ES44AC-2
As much as I loved my Glock 26 Gen 3, I had no problem selling it after I purchased my G43. I also sold my G19 which use to be my Duty Weapon after I retired and I now have a G43 & G48 which have now become my EDC guns and I love them both! No more double stack guns for me because these single stack slim single stack models fit my hand much better and they are easier to carry all day!
The most important thing in my mind is it’s reliability-I have trusted my very life to this platform(G19 and 26) for 28 years-first as an issued weapon in the military(SFCDU) and now the SP in my state.Over 500,000 rounds fired total and I never once have had a malfunction that was contributed to the weapon. Some of the magazines while loaded for long periods would fail to lock open on the last round, but never a failure-saltwater,sand,mud,dirt,etc-never.
@@IamDoogy sorry it took so long to get back-it’s just truth.I have no qualms trusting my life to a Glock. They have never failed me.I may treat them better than most because I clean my weapons weekly whether they’re fired or not, because they’re invariably carried in all weather, but I do clean them.Still, they eat what you feed them and never malfunction.
I’ve recently decided to take on the responsibility to ccw and trying to decide which gun to pick. You’re videos are well done, well informed, and great to watch. Thanks for all the work.
I have been carrying a g43 for ccw but even with a magazine extender I found it difficult to shoot well consistently. I recently picked up a gen5 26 and was amazed at how much easier it is to shoot well ...you are spot on about the accuracy, improved trigger, etc. I don't notice the extra thickness and weight over the g43 really. .plus I can use the Glock mags from my gen 4 g34 . Picked up a couple 12 round Glock factory mags and a crossbreed super tuck so I'm good to go! Thanks for a great review!
I live in a free state, but I still prefer Gen 3 just because the first Glock I ever used was a Gen 3 and I've never seen any reason to change since then.
I bought my first Glock a Gen5 G17 2 weeks ago and I just shot it yesterday. Put 150 rounds through it and it ran like a well a Glock should. I love it.
Thank you After you review I bought my first glock. After a week I loved it so much that I went out and bought a glock 17 & 19x I love them. So again thank you
Bought my 2nd gen 4 G26, that's how much I love these. They are FANTASTIC guns. You never have reliability issues. I also carry a Sig 1911, and the glock runs like a swiss watch.
Sootch, thank you for always being professional and honest without making someone on a low budget feel as rhough they're srupid for buying ehat they can afford. You also seem disappointed when a gun doesn't work. You are just a genuine guy that understands how things should be. A lot of of gun reviewers could leaen how to speak by watching your videos. I always come to your channel the most. You are a Glock fan and i agree, if people doesn't like them, they can buy other guns and you made that point. Glock is like Toyota..they stick with what works and slowly make changes while watching those changes under a microscope. Thanks for what you do!
another gen 4 guy. ill have to pick up a 19 as well before they become hard to get. the grooves just fit me. why not just make it an option at the dealer?
Why would a G19 be hard to get? Just wondering. I feel like there is a lot of them out there, you can probably find a cheap police trade in G19 as well which will work just as good as a new one at half the price.
I have carried a 26 for over seven years. I had a Ghost trigger installed and night sights. The plus two magazine plates were a good addition too. Thirteen rounds of +P 9mm that will fit in a pants pocket is awesome.
When I was a real little kid way back in the 50's, I had a clear green plastic squirt gun. And I swear, it was identical in design to the Glock pistol.
The fact that they released the G27 Gen 5 etc with the 2 pins (as opposed to the prior 3 pins) shows that Glock has made unpublished *internal* modifications to the handguns, that strengthened the structure, and removed the need for 3 pins.
I'm not a gun enthusiast, nor a collector. I'm John Q US citizen, working/commuting 48 per week, paying the bills, raising the kids, loving the wife. --- My used Gen I Glock (purchased circa 1990) still hammers away during practice each month, year in, year out. My G26 G4... I keep its oil changed... and it has NEVER failed, not once. There is not one good reason to "innovate" a tried and true creation. -------- Sootch, I've been watching/with you since 2009. I hope to catch up with you one day to tell you my story. Keep on keeping on. Long live The Republic.
I just bought the Glock 26 Gen 5 this week. The match barrel performance is a major improvement from my Gen 3. I love this conceal carry Glock. I own the the Glock 19, 22 and 41. I am former law enforcement and own multiple handguns. This is my #1 everday carry firearm. You cannot go wrong with a Glock for reliability and performance. Great video!!!
I’m buying a Gen5 G26 in a couple days. I’m pretty excited. I’ve been carrying my G19 for 4yrs and although I’m used to it I’m ready for something smaller and a little lighter. Lol. Thanks for the video and all the info man. Greatly appreciated
Right now I have a Taurus model 85 .38 special revolver, and it is my very first handgun. I bought it because I only had $300 to spend and I do like revolvers, and I wanted a very small CCW gun, and it was on sale for 269$ at a local gun store. Although I like revolvers, if I would have had a bigger budget I would have definitely got a 9mm Glock, but at that time I hadn’t done much research so I had no idea about what model I wanted. Today that’s a different story, one of the many reasons I watched your video, and loved it by the way and will be subscribing, is because I’ve had my eye on the Glock 26 for a good amount of months now. The reasons I want the model 26 are pretty simple, I want the smallest concealed carry Glock 9mm without giving up the adaptability to use different mags and backstraps etc. Not to mention it’s small and it can still has a good amount of ammo in the stock clip. The Glock 43 is what most want for CCW and swear by. I don’t like the shorter ammo amount of the stock clip and especially don’t like that you lose all your adaptability when you have a 43, and the only difference size wise from my research is just like you said in your video, is the same length pretty much but it a thicker gun, which I don’t mind at all, and feel more comfortable with a thicker frame, as it seems to be stronger of a frame than the 43, but that’s just my opinion going by the looks. Anyway loved your video, can’t wait to see more and would love to know your thoughts on the Glock 26 for my second gun to have for a CCW, and first automatic I’ll own, and second handgun I’ll own, and by the way, I have small to medium hands with skinny fingers, so I think it’ll handle great. Loved the video, let me know your thoughts if you can. And sorry, where are my manners, my name is James Kenley Chastain, but I go by my middle name Kenley, but you can call me James or Kenley.
I sold my G43( wasnt enough for me) using the G26(Gen4) w/Pearce grip extensions on 10 round mags. It uses my G17,G19, and 33 rnd factory mags. I have Sig 938 Rosewood also but G26 feels it was made for me. G26 was $500 Sig 938 was $699 so its a no brainer!#G26#GlockPerfection@James Chastain
Carried a Glock 22 from 1990 till 2009 during my LE career! I never had a single malfunction. I am now retired and carry a model 26 gen 4, but plan on buying a gen 5 after watching this video. Another well done video sir!
Great review sootch. Most importantly, I like the way you stick to your guns, pun intended. In today's day and age there are literally hundreds of choices for handguns and or concealed gun options, there should never be a ongoing nagging complaint about a particular manufacturer. That being said, continue to bring us these grade informative videos and keeping them real.
I'm a Glock lover too . Got my first G17 in 1986 for a contract job I had and it never let me down . I have converted that one into a rifle with a 16 inch barrel and like it better than the AR's I have in 556 and 308 . A better frame i think . My Gen 5 model 26 now has a TLR6 LIGHT/LASER on it which I really enjoy . I really enjoy your programs . Keep up your good work . Hope you have a great year .
Excellent and informative video. What made Glock great will keep Glock great. I love the uniformity between models and calibers. I like the fact that the feel and muscle memory with one Glock will carry over to the next. I am glad Glock doesn't listen to the naysayers and keeps producing the same quality firearm year after year.
Great review Uncle Sootch! As always.. Hopefully i'll be getting a carry piece this year and I'm seriously considering the Glock 26 Gen 5 because of the ambi slide release. Thought about the 1911 .45 acp (because my uncle have one, and it shoots well) but i just find it heavy for edc at work, as I am just a small guy. Hopefully it will be available here in the Philippines too at a fair price point by the time Im all set for picking up my first carry piece. Keep the excellent reviews coming! Cheers!
I have carried mine for five years now as my CC. I do carry with the pinky extensions - the basic magazine - I hate the no pinky grip . Eats all ammo - but I do not shoot steel. Mine is a Gen 3 grip sucks - slick - I had a slip on rubber grip to enhance it - now I need to get some tape. Love the fact that I can put my Glock 17 and 19 magazines in it.
I really like your reviews...I'm basically a 1911/2011 pistol affectioner , but have 5 Glocks and carry a 19 or 26 everyday! Really love the 26 as a pocket pistol.
My wife bought me the Glock 26 for my birthday. Until then I was carrying my Ruger 9e. I find I just have to get used to shooting the shorter Glock 26. I love the simplicity of my Glock.
Great video Sootch. My EDC is the Glock 27 Gen 3. I have no plans to change. I love the Gen 3 in .40 cal. I wouldn't mind adding one of these to my collection though. .
Great review, as always. G26-4 has been my EDC for five years, and I love it, but I'm going to add the gen 5 to my collection. I already have the G19-5 and consider it an improvement over the G19-4 so this is a no brainer. The new barrel not only improves accuracy it comes clean easier for some reason.
The 26 was actually introduced as a gen 2.5 gun...finger grooves and no front strap checkering...I think the gen 4 is my favorite now, I like finger grooves and 3 pins...
I bought a Gen 5 Glock a couple of weeks ago in order to have the same pistol as one of my business partners who's new to shooting. I was pleasantly surprised at how accurately it shot, especially at 10 yards. I totally agree that not having a pinkie finger grip was a non-issue. I have ordered and received 2 magazines with +2 extensions and will be testing them shortly and will be interested to see if I find a difference in accuracy. It is definitely a winner! Like you I own a number of different pistols, including several subcompacts, so I'm no Glock Fanboy either. Double thumbs up! Thanks for the excellent review sir!
Another great review video Sootch. I am glad that Glock finally came out with the Gen 5 and having an ambi slide release. I am a left handed/left eye dominate (right handed for everything else) shooter and find that helpful and one of the reasons why I bought a Smith & Wesson M&P Pro C.O.R.E in .40 cal instead of the Glock was for the ambi features and it's made in the U.S.A. I am thinking of getting a concealed carry and the M&P Shield, G26 Glock and SA XD9 among a few others are options. So this Gen 5 will help in that regard. I also hope that the Gen 5s are available in more than 9mm as stated about the 2 pin design, because I would absolutely LOVE to get a Glock Model 40 M.O.S. Long Slide 10MM in the Gen 5 for a badass range gun, hunting semi handgun and bear country open carry protection piece (yes I know that a 44 mag and up revolver would be better, but they are heavy for just a protection piece, even though I do want one for hunting bear, boar, etc in the future). God Bless America and Long Live the Republic!
I love the Glock. The design, the realability. Had a Glock 19 gen 4. I love the chunky gun. Felt good in the hand. Never had a problem with it I'll be buying another glock19 gen4 real soon
@@PatrickPierceBateman so I actually ended up purchasing the Glock 43x in all black. I've never owned my own pistol before, but I have shot several at a home made range on my family's land. And I have got to say, even with the lack of my experience on pistols.. I love this thing. It feels super beginner friendly. I applied proper grip onto the pistol and sight picture techniques I learned on youtune and my shot groups were pretty decent. It hit everywhere I was aiming at a distance of 5 to 20 yards. The grip could use a bit of texture. But it feels good in the hand. And the recoil is super manageable. I'm sorry this a long comment. But I just want to help explain my experience especially if you or anyone sees this and are still on the fence about what ccw you want. Around the same time my brother bought the glock 45..( which also a 9mm gun) I prefer my 43x. Smaller.. just as comfy to hold. Doesnt kick much more than the 45 and I was more accurate. Now for the issues I had. The 10 round magazine was a little tough to top off without the quick reload tool you get with the box. Or maybe I just have sissy hands lol. And I was shooting it at night.. FORGET ABOUT IT. with those stock white U /dot sights.. you cannot even see the gun in front of you. I'd recommend upgrading to a night sight of some sort. And I plan to also add the Tlr-6 light/laser combo on there too. Cheers brotha
Another update. I've bought an inside the waist band holster that accepts the Tlr-6 light laser attachment. Now look.. I sort of have a gut. But when I conceal carry this thing. Its SO comfortable and concealed. If I'm sitting for a while I forget it's on me sometimes. Highly recommend this gun if comfort and low vis is your ideal path
After the trigger guard undercut, I really like mine. Finger grooves and trigger guards have always been a problem for me with Glocks. Once all that has been addressed, I really like them. And being a hefty guy, wearing the Glock 23 with 9mm conversion barrel is a lot more comfortable carry. GLock, CZ and Ruger are great!
Glock is a solid, reliable pistol. Thank you for such good, positive reviews with good insight. Your explanations regarding other firearm platforms and the simple changes made over the years was a seriously good point! Thank you.
I've had my CC license since last summer, I'm glad I waited till now so that I can purchase this new design. Very good information and excellent job showing how to shoot. I'm glad Glock enables upgrading with night sights.
Nice review. Better barrel and trigger alone makes this great improvement. Nice to know other generations are still there too for the people who like them
What i like about the Glock, is the simplicity of them. Now i just got my first one and that's a 43 x, i have different guns like the M&P their just simple, and they work.
Sootch good review brother. I've got a gen 3 26 myself and an M&P 9C the Smith & Wesson version of it. Great review great handgun. And I'm not a Glock Fanboy but I happen to have this model in the 3rd generation and agree it's a great pistol. Keep up the good work.
I own a 26 gen 3 and it has been my edc for a long time ! Just bought a 26 gen 5 remanufactered by Glock ! Was told it was a dealer sample or police sample .. they (Glock) got it back and Totol rebuilt it with exception of the bbl ! Also added trijacon sights to or at the factory !! I am in love with this new Glock !!!!
I am not a Glock guy but definitely respect the platform. If I were to pick one up in the future, it would be a 26 simply because you can run the 26/19/17/33 mags. I would like to see Glock try to produce another type of firearm...a shotgun, an AR. If they can apply the same level of quality to another type of firearm, we might not see stuff like the 19X lol
I came back to this video as after years of keeping away from Glock I decided to get myself small pistol and instead p10s that would be my 7th CZ I am thinking about this one for a change 😁
My gen 3 is perfect, only thing I did was the +2, and a front night sight. Gun just works. I am 70, and have carried for 49 years. I started with revolvers in NYC for 25 years, went to a Glock when I moved to Fl 25 yrs ago. Have most of what has come out since, love 1911's, But carry a Glock for SD.
I think the G26 is the best gun glock makes it’s plenty small enough to carry. But big enough to shoot comfortably and it affords the capability of a higher capacity. The only knock I have is you can’t readily put a light on it otherwise I think I’d ditch my G19 as my bedside pistol. It works great for me!! Great review as always Sootch00 👍

I’m torn on the actual usage of the front serrations that the gen5 revision adds on such a short gun... but I prefer them tbh. Thanks for your reviews on this gun. It helped me tip the scale towards actually making the plunge. Will go great with my g19, g45, and my wife’s 43x. Here’s to hoping she doesn’t claim the g26 as her own! Lol

ᄋᄋ Guns aren’t just for killing people 🙄. For some like me it’s a hobby, I love shooting and collecting firearms...
Liar
@@jalenwealthy4115 Jalen your just an idiot who likes to run his mouth and stir the pot!! You probably don't own a gun, have never fired a gun and don't know the difference between a Glock and a TS12.
It only fires if horizontal? What if you're on the ground and have to shoot up? Did I understand him right?
I've been carrying a G26 as a back-up and off-duty and now as a retired police officer, since 1996 or so. I love this gun! It is accurate and reliable. I love the "no bells and whistles" characteristics of this little gun. It's all business and just works great. Like you, I usually carry it with the +2 extension, but the rest is all stock.
@@robletto841 Thank you!
4yrs after release, g26 gen 5 is my first gun. I love it.
Mine too. Put a Crimson Trace laser on it. Bought a Vaultek safe for it. Awesome!
now the question i check ebay there are chrome slides but only for 1 2 3 4 gens should i buy put on gen 5? i mean it will fit it? or am i gonna go through some issues?
I prefer Sigs but, for me, the G26 is the finest CCW handgun ever designed by men or angels.
My Sig P320 45 is strictly for home defense.
I agree, Ive carried my Sig 938 rosewood for yrs but trust my Gen 4 G26 as edc with Pearce grip extensions on 10 rnd. mags. Using my G17,G19, mags plus 33 round factory mags.#Glock
Honesty. Different but I like it lol. I like all that fit my hand and shoot well. Do love my 26
A glock 19 still shoots better #compactgang
Today I bought my first handgun, and this is it. Due in large part to your outstanding videos, you helped me make an informed choice. I loved shooting this gun and I’m looking forward to honing my skills through continued training and range time. Thanks for your great work and dedication.
Glock is reliable because Glock is simple. When I really need a gun, the SIGs and HKs stay in the safe, I feel more confident with my Glocks. They always work.
I wouldn't be grabbing a handgun anyways if I'm at home
SIG and HK are both used by militaries around the world. If it's good enough for the military it should be good enough for a civilian that won't put the gun through nowhere near the same abuse
Gunsquawk 44 I trust my Hk the same if not more than my Glock .
Agreed. Their reliability comes at least in part, from their simplicity.
The rest of it comes from some amazing engineering and precision execution in the manufacturing process.
Me too..I have sigs and smith and wesson m&p 2.0 but my go too are my glocks..its just reliable..
I just bought the 26 Gen 5. Wow I am really impressed. I was sold on the gen 3 and didn't think I would ever buy another Gen. I am glad GLOCK nailed it with the 26.
Hey the front finger grips were a plus
I got a PA Glock 26 and I carry a 15 round magazine and it really feels just like the 19 honestly
P80
I like it!
My 3 favorite Glock Models..... 19, 26, and 30.
Don't have the Gen 5 yet, but the 26 Gen 4 is my ccw. The ability to carry concealed with G19, G17, or even the 33 round back-up mags can't be beat. Love the versatility of the baby glock. Great review.
I'm a revolver fan, but I'm pretty sure the 26 will be my next purchase. Thanks for the review!
Just a great, spot on review. Thank you. I'll go with the Glock 26 & 19. Perfection.
I bought a G26 precisely because I have (and definitely like) a G19.
I just won a Glock at a recent GSSF match so I chose the Gen 5 G26. Looking forward to getting it. Thanks for another great video!
Picked up my new G26 Gen 5 last week...solid and perfect in every way!
That's quite an endorsement.
Thanks. I appreciate your reviews. I’m carrying my 26.5 right now and usually do. Had it since mid-2018.
I’ve recently decided to take on the responsibility to ccw and trying to decide which gun to pick. You’re videos are well done, well informed, and great to watch. Thanks for all the work.
I just bought my 3rd Glock 26 in the last 6 years. I always come back to this model. Glock 26 Gen 5 FS this time. Keeping this one.
Love my Gen 3. Picked it up 2 weeks ago brand new in box for $400. Tack driver
So is the gen 3 better than gen 5 ?
I live in a free state, but I still prefer Gen 3 just because the first Glock I ever used was a Gen 3 and I've never seen any reason to change since then.
I bought my first Glock a Gen5 G17 2 weeks ago and I just shot it yesterday. Put 150 rounds through it and it ran like a well a Glock should. I love it.
Thank you
After you review I bought my first glock. After a week I loved it so much that I went out and bought a glock 17 & 19x I love them. So again thank you
You got some good guns!
Bought my 2nd gen 4 G26, that's how much I love these. They are FANTASTIC guns. You never have reliability issues. I also carry a Sig 1911, and the glock runs like a swiss watch.
This is my new favorite pistol. I have owned 125 pistols in the past ten years. I dropped a ghost connector in mine! What a sweet shooter.
My edc.
You owned HOW MANY??? Haha cool
Those the ones lost in your tragic boating accident last year?
I’ve owned so many Glock’s since 2012, CZs like the PCR, Sig Sauer P229, M&P Shield, etc etc, but I just keep coming back to Glock
19:45; that's the most important point that you've made with regard to how certain people view Glock's place in the shooting world. Well said.
I’ve been concealed carrying a Glock 26 gen 3 for over 5 years. Fantastic pistol. Zero failures of any kind and I shoot a lot.
I just found that, being a male 5 10 height, 170 pounds
that the glock 26 with the extended mag its the perfect fit for me
thanks sootch!
Really well done video. Also thank you for not shaking the gun around in your hand as you’re talking about it like so many content creators do.
This is what I’m looking at for my first pistol. Great review, thank you!
I think the finger groove is actually helpful with short grip. Gen 4 g26 is my ccw for now.
O K I agree, but I’d be curious to how well the lip at the magwell works.
I'm so sorry to hear that...
another gen 4 guy. ill have to pick up a 19 as well before they become hard to get. the grooves just fit me. why not just make it an option at the dealer?
Why would a G19 be hard to get? Just wondering. I feel like there is a lot of them out there, you can probably find a cheap police trade in G19 as well which will work just as good as a new one at half the price.
Dr. Strange the 4th gens will probably be sought after for the finger grooves
I have carried a 26 for over seven years. I had a Ghost trigger installed and night sights. The plus two magazine plates were a good addition too. Thirteen rounds of +P 9mm that will fit in a pants pocket is awesome.
Just picked up one of these the other day for my new concealed carry! I added the Pearce Grip +2 mag extension for mine!
I have a Gen 4 and could not be happier, love that little thing.
I wouldn't mind adding one of these to my collection though. .
Best G26 review that I’ve seen, Sootch.
I have a G26,G4, EDC 10 round mag + 15 round =26 total. Works well.Shoot in IDPA 1K rounds/month. GREAT GUN
The 26 was actually introduced as a gen 2.5 gun...finger grooves and no front strap checkering...I think the gen 4 is my favorite now, I like finger grooves and 3 pins...
The Gen 2.5 had no grooves and had checkering...
I'm considering this as my first ccw.
Me too.
@@thewoolycontacts Me three.
Around the same time my brother bought the glock 45..( which also a 9mm gun)
I prefer my 43x. Smaller.. just as comfy to hold.
Northern Ninety7 me four
Thanks for the review. I will look into adding this as my back up to my Gen 4 19. I love the Glock products. Take care and God Bless
Nice review. Better barrel and trigger alone makes this great improvement. Nice to know other generations are still there too for the people who like them
It's what I carry . It's on me now
What i like about the Glock, is the simplicity of them. Now i just got my first one and that's a 43 x, i have different guns like the M&P their just simple, and they work.
Best back up for duty use!!!!
The only gun I never had a problem with and shoots all kinds of rounds.
David Wright both of those are great Guns... What do they chronograph with the shorter barrel?
The two dislikes are Dianne Fienstien and Michael Bloomberg
Mission accomplished : )
And there is 9 more gun grabbers who disliked the video
And Chuck Schumer
there is now 15 lol
sootch00...The new glock models are ok but I always go with Gen 3 glocks🙄

Out of all of the Glock models and generation I pretty much have owned all of them
This is my favorite and I shoot it so accurately it’s incredible
This gun is ahead of its time!!
33 Year LEO, I use my Glock 26 Gen 4 as a backup gun and it's a great shooter plus it will except my larger G17 Mags. I shoot it with great accuracy with the flush magazine / Downside of the G26 is the weight but I think that adds to the accuracy / Only modification is Ameriglo Night Sights. ( My Agency Does NOT Allow Changing Trigger or Any Internal Parts )
Love my gen 5 26 and 19. Simple and reliable 👍
Love the 26 best subcompact glock in my opinion still rocking my Lil gen 3
Best review of a gun I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing this with us. Greetings from Brazil!!!
I just picked up a gen 5 revision 2 today. It’s a USA build but I’ll learn the live with it... I prefer the Austrian print. I know... I know... first world problems. Lol
Sootch, your gun handling is just superb. Great overview
Mine was made in Smyrna Georgia, don’t know if there is any difference between the one made in Austria , but I had plenty of FTF until I upgraded the guide rod and spring to steel . Now I trust it with my life!!!
