I cannot forget how traumatizing this game is when I was a kid. The screams and the loud music really scares me the most that prevents me playing that game. And the graphics were realistic yet scary at the same time when they mimic some bloods here and there. Truly a fascinating game that Burnout cannot do.
Vaas Montenegro the first Thrill Drive was the only game in the trilogy to be nightmare inducing. TD2 is just creepy and TD3 is basically an action racer.
imagine driving and getting into an accident and seeing 事故発生 before you die with the only thing that flashes before your eyes, is a 2nd person view of your accident occuring...
So reaching the end stages without crashing provides happy music that sounds like a well done.... Any accidents after means you've royally messed up, then any more makes it sound like you're about to enter hell...
Yes, absolutely right. It's like, when you crash on a specific object (or as acting visible walls) in that game, then most likely "cow sounds" or whatever. Good thing that I uploaded the 3 videos (gameplay) on this game as well. Better check it out. Thanks!
You're absolutely right. Indeed though, this game is just before the first Burnout series in 2001 (along with Thrill Drive 2). Yet, they don't release it in consoles and on PC at that time (as in - the whole series of Thrill Drive), which is shame honestly.
Personaly still prefer the original thrill drive because it's the only one in the series that gives you that serious feeling everytime when accident occured,something that burnout series can never copypaste to. And since it's running on NWK-TR board the game is as rare as the Racing Jam which is a excelent racing game but Extremely rare to find because of RTC time keeper Rom.... I still remember i've played the DX cabinet version of the original thrill drive back in China when i was a kid....makes me scared of that game fir a while lol
@@TASTomusan Cheers bro! As far as i know the MAME emulation on NWK-TR is still very 'raw',although the Thrill drive runs with no problem on some PCs with Nvidia board but not all of them. As for racing jam though....From what i know,very little emulation progress is made,at least you can select gymkhana mode and play it with very slow emulation speed and rest of them still not quite working.

@@jodyposey6624 Hi, Jody. Sorry for the late reply. 1. Yes, probably the best is in MAME 0.198 - due to SHARC improvements, according to the devs back then. 2. Unfortunately, we still need to wait for the game to be emulated properly by any chance. Since Thrill Drive 2 is a Konami Viper 2, expect to have some "low-profile" emulation speed unless you have a very good computer, by also any chance. Hence, we don't know when that will going to happen. But hey, maybe I can post here on RUclips for the sound effects (only), just in case you're wondering.

If so, tell someone to make these Thrill Drive cars for... You already know i said it from last 2 weeks and still nobody's make these model like try their best. It's ultra hard tho... But someone's gotta do it.
Senna S, greetings. I sincerely apologize that I cannot respond your e-mail (from TD2), but I also read from yours before. Once it's ready, I'll give you a go signal to send the SE via e-mail, or otherwise, from what you've mentioned now (upload the SE on RUclips). This means I'm not done yet with that process. Unfortunately, currently it's too difficult to extract the OG Thrill Drive sound effects, especially on Audacity (whereas too "crappy" to hear). You really need to understand how that process works and it will take a "long theoretical time" to finish it ASAP. If I cannot do this, so as to do someone else who might help that said project sincerely (or maybe, you can do it as well on your own honestly, for real), that I also currently having a very hard time doing it (for getting much higher quality without those "jitters", if you know what I mean). So still, please be extremely patient, 'cause I have "something else to do aside from that". Thanks for your appreciation and interests.
