Age and Dementia Friendly Plan Video 1

On June 24, 2024, Council endorsed Vernon's first Age and Dementia Friendly Community Plan!
This milestone connects the City with a network of BC communities focused on supporting older adults and people living with dementia.
Developed with input from community, health care providers, and City staff, this plan aims to make Vernon a place where everyone feels respected, included, and supported.
Thanks to grants from BC Healthy Communities and the Public Health Agency of Canada, the City created impactful content, including mini-documentaries and an animated series, to raise awareness and promote inclusivity.
